home for the holidays

This giveaway has ended–thanks for entering!

Welcome back to day three of our annual Home for the Holidays week!

Today I have the privilege of bringing you another giveaway from a friend and contributing writer to Simple Mom, Katie Clemons of Gadanke journals.

I have always been a journal lover at heart, and I’m thrilled that at least one of my children shares my passion.

But as a writer I also know the terror of the blank page that can overwhelm my creative expression. Sometimes getting started is the hardest part.

That’s where Gadanke comes in.

Gadanke, pronounced guh-dawn-kuh, comes from a German word meaning thought or idea. It’s also the name of Katie Clemons’ award winning shop, which she runs from a vintage airplane hangar in Montana.

Katie’s hand-crafted books are filled with:

  • writing prompts
  • embellishments
  • materials from Europe
  • 100% recycled paper.

Continue reading for a glimpse into these lovely story-catchers:

This Christmas journal keeps track of your memories from an entire holiday season. Most of the journals from Gadanke feature spiral-binding, allowing you to expand your book with more pages as needed.

I love the enclosed stickers, tags, lists, and interesting add-ons Katie weaves into each of her books. Combine them with your words to create a work of art and a treasured family heirloom!

Find journals for a multitude of occasions: bragging on baby, finding your direction in life, keeping track of thankful thoughts, loving where you live, and many more.

Jump Up, a kid’s journal (pictured above), is the perfect size for a stocking stuffer and features writing prompts like:

  • What stunning stuff have I done in my life?
  • Who’s my hero?
  • What does my bedroom look like?
  • What are four ways I could make the world a better place?

Bright colors, space for photos, and fun embellishments encourage kids to write & express their creativity–sign me up for that! (I’ll be gifting this one to my daughter this holiday season!)

Make sure you browse through all the products in Katie’s inspiring shop: from prayer journals to travel journals, card & letter holders to recipe journals–there’s something for everyone on your Christmas list.

Special offer: Use the code “WITHSTORY” for 10% off journals and kits through Friday, December 7th!

One Simple Homeschool reader will win a $100 gift certificate to Gadanke!
