Excited because a big part of my personal mission in life is to encourage and inspire. Another part is to spread a message of freedom–and today I get the chance to do all of the above!
It’s launch-date for my newest ebook–Secrets of a Successful Homeschool Mom: A Manifesto of Freedom and Joy in Home Learning.
Here’s a description:
“Most of us have at least a few insecurities hidden inside about whether or not we can actually do this homeschooling thing. Often we are our own biggest obstacle.
It makes sense that we would feel this way–after all, we’ve been taught that education is complicated. Taught that even when governments throw billions of dollars at it, the problem can’t be solved. And we don’t have billions of dollars, so what hope do we have? We’ve been told that education requires experts, and we don’t always feel like one.
But what if some of what we’ve been taught is not true? What if there is another way—a simpler, more natural way to learn?
What if there are secrets of a successful homeschool mom—secrets we can tap into and use to order our days and our lives? I believe there are, and I wrote this book in the hope that they’ll inspire you the way they’ve inspired me.”
I would have loved this short, uplifting read five years ago when I first started considering this educational path for our kids. Instead I felt, like many of you, that I was stumbling my way along in the dark–learning by trial and error.
This ebook sprang out of a series I wrote here on the blog over a year ago, which has been compiled, updated, and made to look fancy by the talented Erin Ulrich of Design by Insight. At around 30 pages, it’s the perfect length to print out, hole punch, and place in a binder to read when discouragement strikes.
