Home Art Studio

This giveaway has ended; thanks for entering!

Welcome to this weekend’s giveaway, brought to you by Lindsey Volin of Home Art Studio.

About the company:

“The Home Art Studio program is designed to increase students’ love and appreciation of the visual arts.

Winner of the Mom’s Best Award and Homeschool.com’s Top Homeschooling curriculum award, Home Art Studio is designed specifically for homeschooling families.”

owl project

“This program will enhance a child’s ability to problem-solve, think creatively, and truly see the world around them.

The art projects on each DVD are designed to illustrate the elements and principles of art in an age-appropriate way. You can view sample lessons here.

We recommend viewing and beginning one project a week. The lessons build on prior knowledge. Throughout the school year, the student will gain greater understanding and hands-on skills.”

“The lessons include a variety of media. Students are introduced to drawing, painting, sculpture, and more! Students will also listen to professional artists, take a trip to an art museum, and learn about how art is everywhere in the world around them.

Parents don’t need to be intimidated by their own lack of knowledge or skill as an artist. Lesson plans and instructions included on each DVD-ROM.

The projects are easy to follow, and a lot of fun for students!”

I have 4 children. 7, 4, 2, and 6 months. We have done painting since my 1st was 2. We have learned how to hand sew and crochet. Love arts and crafts and would love how to do more!

My sons are 7 and 10. We’ve done a few semi-formal art units, as well as art instruction during nature journaling (taught by an artist-librarian), but, for the most part, art is either on a whim or tie-ins with our history and science courses.

My kiddos are 6, 10, and 12. The older kids have taken different art classes in the past, but the youngest is more a “DIY” kind of girl and would rather do spontaneous projects. I would love to have her experience a program, though.

My kids are 8, 6, and 3 and we have not done any formal art in our homeschooling other than visiting art museums.

I have 2 kids; a 10 year old very creative and artistic girl and an 8 year old boy. We haven’t done any formal art, because I don’t have expertise in that area-I am more of a math and science momma!

I have a 7yo and 4yo. I haven’t done much formal art instruction because my kids are so resistant. My older is totally uninterested and my younger just wants to do her own thing.

    Hello.
I have a 8 and 5 year old daughters and 16 month boy. I was doing virtual homeschooling and they provided and art subject which was very boring. Now I do homeschooling on my own and honestly I don’t do much art because I’m not good at it since I went on my own. 🙂

My boys are 2 and 4. We do a lot of crafts projects at home, which I find on Pinterest or from different blogs. The more crafts we do, the more they like it. I am not sure of that counts as formal instruction in Arts, but I hope it opens a window for them to see and explore whatever art interest and talents they may have. This DVD set would be great for us, since we just started our K curriculum with my oldest and would enjoy a more systematic approach to arts. Thank you. I have liked both pages on Facebook, in fact through one of them is how I learned about this give away.
