My kids are 6 and 8 and we study geography by looking at our globe when a different country/city is mentioned, and watch a lot of bbc documentaries!

My girls are 10, 10 and 9. We do a geography fair every year and study a continent. We are trying a mapping workbook this year.
My kids are 5, 3, and 11 months. One wall of the kids bedroom is a huge world map (from skymall). We also have a blow up beach ball globe. Using these, we look up where Mommy and Daddy or other family members have traveled, or where characters or events in stories we read take place. Everything is done very informally, but we all learn so much!
My boys are 5 1/2 and almost 7. We use classical conversations and love drawing countries and states from memory!!!
My children are 12, 5 (almost 6), & 18 months. We are studying different areas from the Bible and the 50 states.
My son is 9 and we mostly learn geography with history — Story of the World and its maps.
My gals are 7, 4 and 2 months. We primarily have studied the United States, but do look up other countries as they arise in novels, stories etc. Mostly we use a few children’s atlases. Would LOVE these maps! Thank you.
I have an only, and she is 12. We study geography using a curriculum, but we don’t have any maps. I find some off the internet to use, but something like this would be so much better. Thank you for the chance to win!
My kids are 9, 11, and 13. We have a large world map on the wall in our kitchen/dining room. We discuss during meal times and look for all the places mentioned in books, news, documentaries, etc.
My kids are almost 5, 3, and newborn. We currently use 2 large maps taped on the wall, they love looking at and learning about different places!

I have a 4.5 and 6 year old. The 6 year old just finished Kindergarten this past May in a Montessori school. This is our first year homeschooling, and we don’t have much in the way of geography materials yet. These would be amazing and would help us continue the Montessori feel at home.:)
We have just begun homeschooling our 10 yr. old daughter, so as of now we are referencing our National Geographic atlas. We also have a 6,4 & 3 month old. Geography is one of our favorite topics. As a family We are always discussing places around the world and where they are located.
These sound amazing! My kids are 7, 5, 1, and not yet born. 🙂 We currently learn geography in connection with Story of the World, but I’d love to use these as well!
I have a lovely daughter who is 9 and an incredible son who is 6…. we currently have some large wall maps up and post photographs from all over the world on the different countries… it helps to visualize where all these different and amazing cultures come from.
Kids are 4, 8, 10 and 12 – 2nd year homeschooling! We are officially introducing geography this year and I didn’t have a solid plan yet – this would be perfect.
My oldest is 5 and we currently study Geography through living books, Classical Conversations, and black line maps in Story of the World. This looks beautiful! We’re a military family so we like looking at maps to see where we live/have lived/ and where Dad is at.
Last year we did trail guide but dropped it after a couple of months. I like the idea of maps and travel videos so that’s what we will try this year. I am going to use seterra online for map drills but would love a set of these maps too.

My daughter is 6 and in first grade. Right now we’re learning about American history so we put together a puzzle of the United States and answer map questions about the state we’re looking at.

My kids are 14 and 17, and my grandkids that I’m helping to homeschool are 10 and 7. We learn geography through the stories we read, the history we study, or finding the location of a current event on our kitchen world map.
My children are 8, 6 and 3. We currently use an online seterra program as well as living books to learn geography.
my son is 8. we study geography informally — he’ll ask where a city, state, or country is located if he hears it mentioned in a story we’re reading, program/movie/video we’re watching, or if we’re having a conversation about it. i think he’ll definitely appreciate the pin it map.
My girls are 7, 4 and 3. We don’t have a formal ‘geography’ lesson yet….currently our studies consists of looking at maps/globes and dicussing what we see. We also travel and when we do we take that time to learn about our location.
Our boys are 4 and 6 and we homeschool and study geography with classical conversations! A lot of black line map tracing also!
Our kids are 6, 10, 13, and 15. We use a couple of large maps and watch videos on the 50 states.

My littles are 7 and 4. Currently, we study geography with a Little Einstein globe, USA placemats, and a world map taped to the wall (we do Little Passports). The maps and pins would be a wonderful manipulative to add to their learning; thanks for the chance to win!
My girls are 4 and 5. They are mostly interested in local towns and US states right now but we have an inflatable globe that they love and we are beginning the Charlotte Mason Africa study next week.
My daughter is 4.5. Currently, we study geography by looking at places we’ve been on the world map, looking up countries we’ve read about on the map, and by assembling puzzles of the United States. We talk about what is interesting in states and countries we look at on the maps.
7, 6 & 3. We pull out our inflatable globe when referencing places and print maps off the Internet to color.

This is awesome! When we go to the local breakfast eatery my kid (age 7) loves to check out the U.S. Map with all the pins! He always gets a charge out of the idea that people drive from all over the country to eat there! We study geography through the maps of Story of the World. Traveling with the Atlas. And the surprisingly accurate map of the world shower curtain!
My kids are 11 and 15. Fortunately we live in DC and we use curriculum, the Embassies and I allow my oldest to begin to travel the world.
My children are 6 and 9. We use geography songs, map tracing, and a lot of reading.
My kids are 9, 6, 5, 4, 2 and 6 months. We study geography by talking about our travels and places we read about. Our kids like to look at a map of a place. We also make sure to notice rivers and lakes and major cities as we travel across Canada.

THIS IS INCREDIBLE,,WHAT AN AWESOME RESOURCE!!! MY DAUGHTER IS 13 IS AN ASPIE AND THIS WOULD BE SUCH A GREAT WAY TO LEARN ABOUT GEOGRAPHY! (ESPECIALLY FOR THE TEACHER,LOL) I HAVENT REALLY FOUND A GOOD WAY TO INCORPORATE ANY GEOGRAPHY FOR HER ,,HELP ME THIS WOULD BE AWESOME:)

I have one child, a 4 year old little girl, and thus far we’ve studied geography in a very interest based manner. When we travel to another state or to Puerto Rico to visit my in-laws we’ll look at our giant map and talk about where we’re going. Or when my husband travels for work we’ll compare where we are to where he is on our map. And we’ve also read the book Montessori Map Work and talked about different land formations, mostly because Puerto Rico is an island. She LOVES this topic and seems interested in traveling which is awesome because I love to travel myself!
My seven year old and I study geography with out wall maps and atlas, as it pertains to things we read about or through post card swaps.
Love maps!!!! My kids are 3.5 and 6. We are using classical conversations so we are memorizing geography week by week.
My kids are 9, 7, and 1. Last year was our first year homeschooling and our geography was limited to Little Passports and when social studies took us to a new place, we looked it up. It was honestly not a lot. This would be an amazing way to teach geography!! And help this overloaded mama!!

my kids are 6, 6, 5, 3, & 1.5. We study geography in the context of science & history, & these maps would be a wonderful tool as the kids grow!
We have 5 children aged 19 – 8. We study geography primarily together with history. We study the geography relevant to the era we are studying. We use a lot of atlases (ancient and modern). Also, living in Europe, we have the opportunity to learn a lot through travel.
I have an 11 yo who loves maps so studying geography just sort of happens around here. We have large world and state maps on the walls and then we have weekly sheets to label places we’ve read about in history, etc. But he often just sits and studies maps on his own for fun!
My boy is 5 and my girl is 19 months. Last year we did Classical Conversations and that combined with our US rug my boy managed to learn all the states and capitals. We also have a world map as a covering on our dining table so we can talk about what we see whenever we sit down to eat.
We currently study geography with a globe and atlases and are planning to start Notgrass America the Beautiful which includes maps. This would be an incredible addition.
My kids are 11 and 14. We most often study geography as a spin off of whatever topics we are discussing in history or reading about in literature.

Currently, we are following the Sonlight curriculum with our son Neil(9)and daughter Zoe(7). AS we read through the books, be it literature, history, geography or even mission stories, we either look through the globe or the map book that we have to locate places. Neil likes to look through the globe even while he is not studying. As a result he can locate quite a lot of places , some of which even I cannot 🙂 Zoe is learning to look through the globe and the map slowly and doing well as she now knows her oceans, continents, some countries and also some rivers as well. And overall…we are learning with them:)
We would like to study Geography and this curriculum looks fantastic! My children range in age from 15 to 3 and we have six.
My children are ages 13, 12, and 9. Currently we are studying geography as part of our history curriculum, Biblioplan.
My kids are 14, and 9 yr old twins. The twins are learning geography via Trail Guide to Learning, which is what we are using. My oldest is learning as part of her history curriculum (TRISMS).

We are currently schooling our last child, a 14 year old special needs daughter. We study geography along with history and literature using a wall map, globe and atlas. This set looks like it would be great for my “hands on” daughter.

I have 10 children – ages 14 to infant. We study geography with printed maps, the globe, geography books, and in the context of history. But, we would LOVE to have maps like this to really test their knowledge! Please, please!!
My boys are seven and nine. We incorporate geography into mainly history lessons. I also use stack the states and countries. My seven year old sleeps with a map to look at while he falls asleep, so if there is a location we aren’t aware of, he fills us in Lol. I’d love to do more on mountains, oceans, and volcanoes! though.
My kids are 5 1/2 and 3. For the little one, we study simple maps, i.e. rooms in the house and for my older child, we’re just building foundation for when we start 1st grade, we will be learning it in connection with the Bible and history.
Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, we have not invested in a globe. We’re currently working with printouts by country and continent. This would be a great teaching aid for us, and a great way for the kids to feel the journey out to the world as they get older and expand their knowledge to the different countries and cultures of the world.

6 & 3. We’re studying geography with Paddle To The Sea & a world map & discussions of direction & distance.
We’re taking a classical blob map approach to Geography, as well as pointing out places on our wall map & globe as we read stories and study topics. I love maps & geography & would love to have such a great resource!
Kids are 5 and 9. We have big wall maps on our schoolroom wall, and when we come across a place reference we look up where that place is. We also look at maps of where we travel, and where our family and friends live.

Our boys are 13, 11, 10, 8, and 6. We studied geography in depth last year (it was our first year using my fathers world). This map set would be awesome to help us build on and remember what we learned!
We just started homeschooling this June. We live in Johannesburg South Africa. Our kids are 6 years, 4 years & , 22 months & a 10 month old.
We haven’t bought anything for Geography yet. We plan to use Tapestry of Grace next year and join a co-op close to where we stay.
my kids are 16,15 and 6. Currently we tie Geography in with History and use flat maps.
I have a 4th and 8th grader. We study geography via living books and map work. This map set looks great, especially for my 4th grader as she is very hands on.
My children are ages 5 and 3. We do study geography as part of our World Cultures program!! The children adore maps and geography. These maps would be wonderful to use at home and at our co-op where we study a different country and continent every month!
My daughter is 4 and we have been using a U.S. map puzzle for a while with her. We also just started looking at a giant reference atlas I brought home from work. These maps look beautiful!
My children are 14, 8 and 8. During the past year we’ve begun working on each U.S. state individually using maps from the atlas as well as online information. We also have gone geocaching as a family using gps. Discussions around geography also come up during our current board game obsession, Risk. Thanks for the chance! My boys are 7 and 5. Our main resources for geography are Sonlight and Five in a Row but we also weave geography into every day life as often as possible. We have a huge world map on the wall which leads to many wonderful conversations as we explore great books and magazines, take trips and meet and get to know people.

My daughter is 6. We have some pop-up atlases, and we also use Google Maps in satellite view and street view to explore any area or town that comes up in conversation or in our other subjects. It was brilliant when we were studying volcanoes!

My four year old daughter loooves maps. We just have a basic one and two puzzles to look at. I’m sure my 16 month old son will be interested too.

I have three girls, ages 2, 4, and 6, and the older two love poring over the globe and figuring out where different countries are. Our road atlas also provides lots of fun. We have a floor puzzle of the U.S., too!

My kids are still young – 3 & almost 5. But they love maps – we do geography based on what they’re interested in. So, while my son was interested in Great White Sharks, we talked about Australia, when it was Rhinos, we talked about Africa. These would be amazing to help him explore even more! (right now we just use maps on the computer)

Hello! My girl are 10 & 12 years old. We currently study geography with a whole lot of dreaming, talking, and a globe- we are currently planning a round the world trip, taking one year off from life, leaving in early 2017! 🙂
My children are 11, 10 and 8. We study geography in many ways. My children will be taking a Continents and Countries class with our local co-op this fall. This class will be parent led and the pin it maps will make a great addition to our learning.
At home we read about the Saints of the Day and learn about the location which they are from, we use the Evan Moore Daily Geography book and when studying History we research and learn more about the countries we are reading about.

My boys are ages 17 and 14. We currently use Expedition Earth and Road Trip (from Confessions of a Homeschooler). We also use library books, and Professor Noggins Geography of the United States and The fifty states. We would LOVE any additional resources!

Oh this is such perfect timing! My children are 4, 7, 9 and we’ve been studying the states that we’ve visited throughout this year. We are now done traveling so I’m focusing on using maps and such. We love studying the world – looking at maps and globes, reading about the people of other countries, learning about world history through through books and documentaries, planning real and fantasy trips. My children are 7 and 4. So far we have spent lots of time checking out the map to see where family/friends live, where Daddy travels to, and also with our SOTW curriculum. They love looking at maps for places like zoos, museums, aquariums, etc.
I have four children, ages 5, 7, 9 and 11. We are just beginning a new literature based geography curriculum by Beautiful Feet Books. My oldest has traced maps and done independent research on that particular area of the world; we will add that back into our learning in the spring, with the 3 older kids.

My kids are ages 7 (almost 8) and 5. Unfortunately I’ve only used workbooks from Barnes and Noble for Geography! My kids are super curious though and any time they see a globe they look to see where we live or our friends or even where mommy and daddy have traveled. This resource would be huge for our classroom!
My kids are 9, 6, 5, 2, and 3 weeks. We mark places we learn about or that turn up in our reading on a big map and we love Geography Songs.
My Kids are 7 and 9. We learn geography in a Montessori way. We have a map in the living room so we can always see it. My kids are very interested in this topic they usually relate other topics to the map. It can be animals, history, etc. a set like that would feed even more their interests in what we are studying.
My kids are 8 and 11. We currently are using the Hammond World Atlas in addition to a SCM geography curriculum paired with STOW. We also include living books covering some of the places we learn about throughout the year. Last but not lease we always have the internet!

8, 7, 5, 3. We use the Highlights Top Secret Adventures along w/ a DK Geography book and we’ll occasionally play “1000 places to see before you die”.

Y children are 8 and 9 years old. We study geography with the workbook Daily Geography. We take road trips several times throughout the year and the children have lesrned to read state maps . We also learn geography based on our history lessons.

Wow, this map is awesome! I don’t have a dedicated Geopgraphy currciula for my pupils, but utilize maps and globes on the daily in conjunction with other studies like history. My kiddos also love to play Stack the States. Would love to win this!

Three kids ages 2-6 and we love studying the wall map but we haven’t done much geography formally. These maps look great!
My daughter is 5, and we’ll be combining history and geography together as we study ancient history.
My kids are 2 and 4. We are really enjoying our montessori homeschool journey. We have a Montessori homeschool co op that meets at our house once a week. We sing the continent song, use a montessori globe and world map. We would love the pin it maps for future use!
My son is 4 1/2 years old and we have incorporated geography studies at home since he was 2 1/2 years old or so. We follow the Montessori philosophy and began with the land and water forms and sandpaper globe. We have a wonderful continent song to go along with the colored globe and map of the world. We also have a large floor puzzle
of the world with continents,oceans and animals. We would be so excited to add some pin maps to our studies!

My eldest daughter is 3 and a half, and is already challenging me with geographic questions! Yesterday we heard about Syrian refugees in the radio, and she kept asking me more and more questions. I wished we had a map or globe to look at! I know geography will be an important part of our life long learning, and I love that these Pin It materials would be able to challenge and teach us at different developmental levels. What a great homeschool resource!

My son’s are 11 and 17. My 17 year old did a geography book that he learned a lot from last year. My 11 year old had a workbook that taught him about legends and reading maps and how to map out cities, now we are looking for method for him to learn about all the other countries and rivers, etc.
We study geography through our CC curriculum as well as fun games like Stack the States.
Our kids are 7, 9, & 11. We have studied geography with maps, along with history curriculums, and by going on road trips.
My kids are 11,8 and 2. We have studied geography mostly by traveling and looking at maps. My kids would LOVE TO see really big maps of where they have been!

Hello, my children are 5, 3, and 1. We teach geography with a ginormous world map puzzle, through my husbands travels around the globe, and google maps. Our eldest is very inquisitive! When she asks us a question about where something is made or comes from, we pull up google maps or research and read about the place together. We love to learn together as a family. ????

I have two sons ages 9 and 3 and two daughters ages 8 and 6. Currently i don’t teach a geography curriculum but have a map of the world on the walll and atlases and various books on geography. Whenever a relevant topic comes up i have my children locate different cities, countries and so on on this map. Looking for something more structured, for my older children and this looks fantastic.

14 and 16 and haphazardly. Actually we do Geography in conjunction with History and flat maps. You might think my kids are to old to enjoy this, but the are very tactile learners and I think this would really help them bring things together.
My boys are 12, 10 and 8. We haven’t followed a formal geography program. Instead we usually use an atlas to find places that we read about in other subjects like history or science.
My kids are 10 and 5, we are starting with geography this year and I plan o using a large map, a globe, and several books. Usually we write everything down what we learn but for geography I will use more hands on practices as well like making models, cooking foods, etc.

My daughter will be 5 in October and we’re starting kindergarten in the fall 🙂 My husband is a pilot in the AF and has been to over 70 countries. When he’s gone, we find where he is on the map and look it up in our atlas for kids. When he gets home, he tells her where he’s been, shows her on the map (along with flight path of course) and what it was like there. She would love this!

6 and 3. we use felt maps of the United states and the world.
My kids are 9,8,6,4, and 2. We have done a geography booklet about reading maps and the basic geography of Canada. Geography still mainly consists of pulling out the world map to find locations in our read alouds.
My daughter is 11, and we pretty basically just use a globe right now.
My kids are 14, 12, and 10. Our US Geography is pretty solid because we took a year to travel the US and Canada and worked a lot of geography into our travels. We use apps like Stack the States, learned states and capitals from Macho Nacho on youtube, and incorporate geography into our history. To boost our World Geography skills this year, my oldest is using BJU Cultural Geography and my two youngest are using some of Sonlight’s Eastern Hemisphere core.
My kids are 6, 4, 3, 2, 10mths. We currently have a globe, fabric map of US and world, lots of books/workbooks for studying Geography. We really just started a bit last year with my then Kindergartner. This would be awesome for us since we are trying to do Montessori-inspired learning. Thanks!
We used CC, Stack the States, and Seterra online last year. This year we’ll be doing more physical map work along with our history studies, I think (still TBD).

This year I will only be homeschooling one, we now have graduated 3. But we are so excited this year. Our daughter is in 4th grade and loves learning about geography. We have been learning what I call simple geography (close to home stuff), but this year we get to explore our state history which includes a lot of geography. I have used a small map with push pins. But this gift would be GREAT!

This looks like an amazing resource. My kiddos are 9, 7, & 5. Our geography study has been rather spotty, some Little Passports, some of Ann Voskamp’s book, some puzzles and looking at maps. I had decided though that this year I want them to all concentrate on making a map at the Montessori homeschool day thing we do and this would be an awesome addition to that learning.

My oldest is 5. We have a world map that we talk about, pointing to where each relative lives and tracing routes of trips we have taken in north america, and finding countries that we hear about in books or movies.

What a fun way to learn and solidify Geography! Our kiddos are 7 & 9. We are using the Maps, Charts, & Graphs series for basic map skills. Grandparents are providing the monthly Highlights Top Secret Adventures mystery series to learn about a new country each month. We add library books about that country to the projects. We also do a state a week with the Rand McNally Children’s Illustrated Atlas of the United States and pair that with a book from the library about a famous person, event, or location from that state as well as record our learning in the Sticker USA Activity Book. Finally we learn a new geographical term for a land or water body each week with Geography From A to Z and look up real photos online of that feature. We also do map work as it comes up naturally in History. We would so love to win these maps and labels! It would be such a fabulous visual tracker of all of our learning, especially for my special needs kiddo! Thank you for the entry opportunity!!
My 4 year old is just learning about geography….he loves working on map puzzles.
My kids are 7, 5, 3, and 2. We are teaching map skills and beginning US geography to our 7 and 5 year olds. We focus on the states we travel through now but do all kinds of map skills for hiking.
My boys are 10 and 7 and we use Daily Geography Practice and we have a few maps on the wall with the locations of friends and family marked.

My kids are 3 and 5 – and we primarily use puzzles, a globe and maps to study geography! This pinning system looks awesome!!!
My children are 4, 6 and almost 9. We talk about people we know and mark on the map where they are from. We have also read about children from around the world in the Compassion magazine and then looked at the map to see where they are from.
My sons are 15, 6, and 2. They love maps, love watching Carmen Sandiago, and love charting places where missionaries live. We don’t have a geography curriculum, but both boys would love one. I’ve been looking for things all week and this would be perfect for them.
We study geography by drawing the maps every day. The children each have their own sketch book to record their progress. My kids are 12, 10, 8, 4, and 4
Hands down best lessons have been traveling has around the US. Boys are 9 and 11 and have been to 46 states. We also use Knowledge Quest Maps, Flat Stanley to family around Europe, and always search out places that peak our curiosity when reading!!
My kids are 9, 6, and 5. My 5 year old started to learn states and capitals and memorized them all at age of 3. Because of him my older kids have picked up on it. And now they all love to learn about new places and maps. We take a 4 week trip across the U.S. Or Canada every year and that is the best way they pick up and learn about where things are geographically. This would be my 5 year olds dream program. He loves maps.

I have a 12 year old and a 3 year old. Right now I just let my daughter explore on Google Earth and I find free worksheets on the interent.
My kiddos are 5,4,3,1 and we love studying geography through reading our FIAR books. We also love in Thailand and learn about geography by traveling to different parts of the world!
I forgot to mention what we use for geography. That is one subject I have always struggled with in 15 years of homeschooling. We have never found something we love. We use maps, games and the globe. 🙂
I have only one left in homeschool. He is 16 and started in North Star’s Geography curriculum. So far…he loves it! 🙂

I have a 13 year old and almost 3 year old. We have tried a couple of different books with our oldest, but it only holds some excitement. Try to show where I have been, or her dad, but a little lax as far as I am concerned. Would like to ramp it up!
My kids are 7, 4, and 1. We are currently mostly just using Highlights Top Secret with the 7yo. She loves them. We all love maps, though.
5 and 7. We love exploring maps and play lots of games that are map related (Rails, pandemic, puzzles, etc).
My guys are 8 and 10. We play games with the globe and travel magazines, track our packages, and play Stack the States and Stack the Countries.
My kids are 9,8,6,5, and 2. We used Galloping the Globe for geography along with books from the library and lots of road trips.
My kids are 10,8,6,and2 1/2. We usually look up states and countries on the map as we come in contact with them through people we meet. I would LOVE this, especially to challenge myself- I mean the kids, definitely the kids. Maybe I could play after bedtime? 🙂
I have a 13 year old and a 7.5 year old. We don’t have a formal geography program; we have an atlas, map puzzles and a globe that we pull out regularly. We look up the places we are reading about, or have watched documentaries/movies about, try to find those places in the atlas, and occasionally make maps of places (although we prefer inventing our own maps for stories).
My kids are 6 and a half and 13 months. I don’t do geography with my youngest, of course, but with my oldest, we are doing Classical Conversations this year, so we simply study whatever coincides with the memory work for the week. It’s been a great way to have structure, yet within that structure is plenty of freedom to dig deeper and learn more. These maps would be such a great addition to our geography studies.
My child is 10 yrs old. She has been doing the Little Passports States subscription which she will finish this year. We do more research on the states she gets each month. She has also been doing the Evan moor workbook called Daily Geography Practice which teaches her how to read maps and terms. We also use our globe and atlas books to look at and learn together. Then we have some games that teach the states, capitals, etc, that we play.
I have an 8 year old boy followed by four girls ages 7, 5, 3 and 17 months. We currently study geography with Geography Songs and our Story of the World map pages.
My son is 7 years old. He loves geography, we have maps everywhere in our home. His Dad was a long haul truck driver and we learned so much about the United States! We would love to venture out to other countries and this will be perfect!

Hello! I have 3 children (10,9,8) and we study geography by travelling! They use maps that are laminated to map out our trip and then calculate mileage flown and or driven and then locate different states and capitals or countries and capitals that we go through and visit. They have done this for USA vacations, Mexico and Europe Vacations and we hope to keep it going!

I have 4 children: 7,5,2,0. We use Montessori globe and three part cards for learning about continents. We just started to really explore Africa and are using a laminated map we can draw on along with a fabric world map we can label with cards.

My 5 year old loves animals, so his geography learning is tied to where animals and dinosaurs live. We also have friends and family throughout the U.S. so we get to hear about and even travel to some fun places for some great learning!

My kids are 6 and 3 and we study maps as we travel and love Stack the States and Stack the Countries on the iPad.
My boys are 8 & 4, they love maps, we study geography with world/state map puzzles. Traveling on road trips with an Atlas and cultural studies of places with food, festivals, dress and since they are boys, weapons etc. I collect old National Geographic maps, just because they are beautiful, it would be amazing to have a set that is as interactive and learning friendly!

I have three girls. Ages 9, 5 and 2. I also watch my nephew who is 3. We learn geography through the highlights program called which way USA. It’s been a good program but I don’t feel like they are retaining enough information about each state, continent or country we study.

My children are 16, 14, 9 and 5. They love geography! We currently have a sticky wall map and a poster style map. I’ve been looking for a map tablecloth and other ways to have maps throughout our home because the ones we have are under high demand. We need to increase our map resources!
My 6 year old is all excited about our trips to Europe to visit family there and explore landmarks and “crazy” cultural traditions. So geography and history is a part of our daily life and schoolwork 🙂

I homeschool my boy (8 years old tomorrow!). We believe that geography, culture, and language are things that are best learned through experience. In 2012, we sold our business and traveled to 15 countries. We plan to do this again in about a year. Until then, we would LOVE this set. Thanks for holding the contest!

my kids are 15, 13, 4 and 3. My MIL gave us a globe and we watch travel shows. As my children are Kinesthetic/Tactile learners the Montessori approach appeals to me. However the materials are cost prohibitive living on Disability. I do what I can with what I have, where I am. This set would be lovely, and I would be SO grateful.
My homeschooling kiddos are 11, 9, and 3. We like to play with the globe and explore the world via the web. We play games and puzzles too.
My children are ages 14 and 11. We were using a wall map for geography (as well as worksheets and such), but with its enormous size, I don’t think they are truly getting and understanding the subject. So this year, I have done research on each country to give them a better understanding of borders, economics, mathematics, history, geography, topography, and many other subjects.
My child is 7. Most of our geography has been through a workbook (which gets boring)
My kids that are still at home with me are 11, 8 and 2. We currently just talk about other countries. A nice map like this would be awesome. We are a Christian unschooling/Waldorf family.

My 8 year old daughter and I study geography by looking up where the stories we are reading about are taking place.
My children are 12, 10, 8, 5, and 8 months. We don’t have a set Geography curriculum that we use but study it within our Apologia Science (currently on zoology 3:Land Animals) and our Histroy of the a world curriculums. My children love drawing flags of all the different countries and studying different maps. We would ALL love this set!

My boys are 6 and 8. We are using the “Trip Around the World” series as well as a really practical workbook “Map Skills” from Instructional Fair (carson -Dellosa) which when I found it was rapidly disappearing from stores as it is out of print. We also have
a globe that can do night sky over the continents.

My son is 3.5, and about to begin preschool, so we’re just getting ready. We talk about different states we’ve been to & find them on a map, and talk about how the geography/weather/ecosystems are different.
My kiddo’s re 7 and 9 and we study geography last year from our Awana Gold and Silver sections. This year we are using Beautiful Feet for Social Studies (California and US History) and plan to follow with a California and US Map. We also LOVE to play Name that Country board game as a family and we use Stack the Countries App while on the go.

My kids are 5 and 7. For geography we’ve been using puzzle maps but my 7 year old has totally lost interest! We started playing race across the United States this year and she loved that- learned so much so quickly. Pin maps are on my wish list and have been for a while now! We are ready!
Our daughters are 32, 29, and 27. I homeschooled them and now help school their children. We read great books and study maps to learn more about places in the world. When in grade school they use the Daily Geography books, and love them! We also have Geography puzzles we do on a some-what regular basis. We also encourage atlas use when wondering where somewhere is (like missionaries we know!)

My daughter is 6 and we are beginning geography this year starting with US Geography. We are using Road Trip USA, A Journey Across the United States from Confessions of a Homeschooler.

My family is starting, for the first time (!), homeschooling next week. I have an 11 year old and an 8 year old. We don’t even have all our books, etc yet, so I don’t have a current way, but this would be a WONDERFUL surprise! I love hands-on, and I can remember my parents helping me study US geography in elementary school. We used a lot of home-made flash cards then, and I still remember a lot from those practices!

My son is thirteen and this past year was our first year of homeschooling.
Every day we read about a different holiday in a different country. Then my son finds that country on his globe. Once he has located that country he looks it up on the computer to learn about the geography, customs, and people. We finish by reviewing the locations and facts of the countries previously studied.
My kids are 4, 6 and 8. We did our own study of the Canadian provinces. Next week we’re travelling across 3 states…that will be part of our U.S. Study for next year. 🙂
We have four kids, ages 3 – 16. We haven’t focused nearly enough on geography, only having memorized the continents, oceans, U.S. states, and stopping now and then to refer to or find a location on our broken plastic globe. I recently learned about Pin-It Maps while researching Montessori preschool methods, but even this more reasonably priced package is beyond our budget. What an excellent way for our kids to learn about the world – we’d love to win the set!

My kids are 4 and 11 months. We do geography by studying maps (like at the zoo) and just looking at them. We talk about where we live and where other people live that we know. We also have a puzzle of the US.
Kiddos: 8, 6, 4.5, 3, 6months. So far we have only “studied” geography by traveling between North and South America various times, talking about the places mom and dad have lived in/traveled to, and looking at maps for fun, talking about distances from here to there, ect. as those topics come up in every day life.

My son Lucca is age 8. We started homeschooling this year, and are excited to continue his Montessori education at home. His father is a pilot, so on every trip he goes on, we try to find it on the map. My son loves cultures and history. We are moving to Saudi Arabia, and we are looking forward to studying hands on, another part of the world 😉

My kids are 16 and 12. We have always had a map of the world shower curtain right in front of the toilet. heehee! Surprisingly when you have seen it every day for that many years, some of it sinks in. We also used the small books called “Daily Geography.” My daughter loves the kindle apps “Stack the States” and “Stack the Countries.”

We would love to win this one! My children (9, 7, 5) love geography (we use an old globe) and are especially fascinated with flags from different countries. We play a lot of games and look up every location that we read about in the news or and stories.

my child is four and for the last year, we’ve had a continent a month for focus, and then we read stories with that continent for a setting, listen to some music, eat food from another country, etc. oh yes, we also have fun placemats for every continent with fun pictures and facts. we also love looking at our globe.

My children are 5 and 8 and this is our second year homeschooling. Last year we used large wall maps and several United States board games and state apps for learning US states and capitals. This year we are looking at world geography and will be learning the continents and which countries are found on which continents – this would be an awesome addition to that study!
My boys are 13, 11, 9, and 4. We spent a year studying geography and cultures and tied many other subjects into whichever continent we were on using My Father’s World Exploring Countries and Culture. Now, we keep a globe, world map and US map up and often find places that come up in conversation or from books we are reading or missionaries we hear about or meet. As missionaries ourselves, we love maps and learning about the many cultures around the world that God loves.

We homeschool our 2 kids, ages 8 1/2 and 7. We do a few things for geography. We use Oak Meadows’ nature based curriculum for social studies, this year we will also be using Confessions of a Homeschooler’s Global Expedition World Geography. My kids also attend a local program for Homelearners called Fresh Air learning, where 2 days per week they are outside all day learning about local geography in Vancouver and other nature related learning.
My boys are 10 and 12. Currently, we are learning geography through literature. We are reading through Around the World in 80 Days, for History and during “family reading” time, we are spending this school year reading through the 39 Clues series. This set would be a perfect fit with what I wanted to do as far as tracking the places we visit during the literature. We also spend time doing special writing assignments and other activities to celebrate the places we “visit”.

What an awesome resource! My kids are 16, 13, 11, 8, 6, 3, and 1. We study geography through reading many many books, finding places on maps as we read, talking about places around the world. We’ve been back in Canada for eight years now, but before that we lived overseas for several years, and have traveled to many countries. So we also study geography through our memories and experiences and stories and pictures. My eight year old is especially wild about geography!
My daughter is about to turn 5 and my son is 6 1/2. We will be doing unit studies of different counties this year, at the rate of about one country every week or two. We’ll learn about landmarks, listen to music, follow recipes, identify the flag, and read stories about children from the area. We love geography!
I have a first grader and since we do not live near family and travel a lot, our geography is looking at maps seeing where people live and where we are going.

Unfortunately we don’t learn do a whole of map exploring where we study maps, and I know we should because it’s a big part of classical approach for home school. We have a globe but a globe by itself is very limited. This mom here isn’t a map person but my son loves maps, so something like this for him to do would be a great addition. My 13 year old and I begin geography this year by leaning heavily on National Geographic. We have a box full of old magazines and map inserts. We are approaching our studies as if we were travelers crossing the globe–checking out guides from the library.

I have three children still at home: 17yo, 14yo, and 10 yo. The 10 has special needs and functions around the 1st grade level. She adores maps, though. We have a world map that she pores over and some GeoPuzzles. The Pin It! Maps would make her heart sing!
My daughter just turned 3 years old. She is being exposed to geography by having access to a globe and maps, and we talk about cities/states relatives live. Also when we do road trips (eg, we drive from CA to WA each summer to visit family) she has a backseat map I print of our travel route so she has an idea of where we are.
Hello! What a fantastic giveaway. My kids are 12 and 14, and we study geography in the context of history. My 12-year old is particularly interested, so this year we’ve begun extra geography study simply because he loves it! We use books, wall map, globe, historical atlases, and puzzles.
We have four at home- 7, 6, 4 and 2, and a new one coming in November. Currently for geography we are hoping to pray for a different country each week, and read about it where we can. I love this idea, though, it’s so hands on for my two boys. And they loooove maps!

I am preparing to homeschool my grandchild in a few years. When I homeschooled my son, we didn’t use a geography curriculum. We had maps all over the walls and I taught my son how to read a map (before GPS) with a Thomas Map Guide. I made up my own worksheets to teach State Capitols, bodies of water, and types of land (island, peninsula, continent). These maps looks awesome!! I love geography and maps.

My children are 4 and 6 and we just started this year (1st grade) with Oak Meadow but we also throw in some reading suggestions from ambleside online. So we have been reading Paddle-to-the-Sea which is a great geography lesson!

We use a variety of materials to study geography including puzzles, road atlases, Internet games and one of our favorites- a big old plastic topographical map found at a thrift shop years ago (sadly, it’s falling apart now). We would love this addition to our homeschool!
My name is Alex Smith. My kids are 12, 6, 4, 1.5, and 2 months old. This is our 3rd year homeschooling. We study geography by choosing a country each month, getting books from the library about all aspects of the country, the people, the art, the music, cookbooks, etc and integrating all of that into our lives as much as we can for that month.
My children are ages 8 and 5. We study geography by connecting news events to where it is located on the map. We study Story of the World and we use the maps in that program as well.

Currently we do a lot of story, history w/geography. We had a huge map up in our kitchen for years but it recently got destroyed (I have all boys – go figure) and we need something! I would love to win this.

We love to travel and show our kids 11 & 8 the world.
My boys are 11 and 13 and we currently study Geography with our Sonlight curriculum. We also play geography games, look at the globe, and talk about current events. It helps that my husband grew up in Africa, they have an aunt from Brazil, family that lives in Germany and Sweden.
My kids are 11 and 14. We use the maps from Mystery of History to get a bit of Geography in, but we could certainly use more!
My kids are 5 and 3. Still young, but we are a bilingual family and host many friends or friends of friends from overseas. This has raised a lot of questions about country location, flags, languages, travel, etc. We are starting some simple unit studies in the fall that will cover some of the countries they’ve been asking about. I used to travel a lot and can no longer, so geography is my way to pretend I still am and to share my experiences with my kids until they can go off and discover the world on their own. 🙂
We have two kids, ages 1 and 3. Our 3 year old loves to point out the countries we’ve taught her on the map on our kitchen wall. She even knows a few flags too. The one year old likes to “copy” his sister by hitting the map. We also talk about the different places we live in, such as: our city is next to another town and they’re both in our province, which is in our country.

My kids are 8, 5, and 3. We study geography based on the time period in history that we are learning about. We have a large wall map that we use, and I’ve printed some off for hands-on work. I would like to incorporate learning the countries names and flags this year also.

Currently for Geography we have a world physical geography book. We don’t have much for Geography and would be so lucky to win this. My kids are 13, 12, and 5.
The children I take care of are 3 and 5 years old. These would be a great addition to geography since we just have a globe so far and learning about where dinosaurs lived!

My kids are 7,6, and 2. We study geography through literature (I.e. Charting Jules Vernes’ path while reading 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea) and by learning about other countries through work with local refugees.

Last year we read Around the world in 80 days and studied the countries mentioned in the book.
My son is 4. Right now we have a placemat of the USA that we go over together. We also have a world map hanging up that we look at together.

My kids are 4, 5, and 7. We study geography with out homeschool co-op. I have my kids memories locations on maps and trace them.
My kids are 7, 4, and 2. Geography for us started with sandpaper globes, Montessori world puzzle and the book me on the map. We’ve made cosmic address nesting boxes, looked our atlas and used resources from the national and state parks. This year we’re really ready to push forward more and materials have been trickier.
My homeschooled kids are 1, 4, and 5. I also have a 10,year old stepson attending public school. Currently we use a globe beach ball for our geography discussions so we would greatly benefit from this.

What an amazing resource! I have DD17, DS 6 and DD3 homeschooling this year and we use a lot of maps in our house :-). We subscribe to National Geographic magazine, we also use Little Passports for the little kids. We keep scrapbooks of the places they are interested in and whenever we travel DD 3 and DS 6 like to have their own maps to navigate. After 12 months of saving we are planning 2 weeks in Europe this year to explore glaciers. DS wants to visit all 7 continents as a kid. He is so passionate about maps and we have puzzles, big Velcro floor mats and maps on the walls. These amazing maps and flags would delight their imagination!

My son is 6. Currently we have a world map and a us map on my bedroom wall. Last year as we read each book in the magic tree house series we’d find where they went on the map and pin it. We also added other places as we read other good books or looked up where friends lived. It was a great way to make this visual for him. Just this week, as we get ready for the new school year, we were going to empty our maps of pins to start again. Thanks.

Our kids are 5 and 8, and we use many different Geography learning resources, but I would highly recommend the National Geographic Kids Atlas, combined with a Hug-a-Globe!

My kids are 8, 6 and 4. We use 2 huge wall maps of the U.S. and the world and refer to them when we are reading about specific places.
My kids are 5 and 2. We are just starting the continents this fall. We are using map puzzles, an inflatable globe and a children’s atlas to study geography in a very broad way right now. It is a part of our “universe and creation” unit study going outside in from the galaxy, planets, earth and moon, then geography, habitats, animals and plants.

7, 5, and 2.. We are doing world geography with ‘Sing Around the World’ by Kathy Troxel and mini country books we purchased off teacherspayteachers.
I am interested in these for my classroom. My students are very language impaired and could use these for individual practice. I would love to win these for them!
We have two kids ages 9 & 4. We are currently using a mishmash of used thrift store buys as well as diy map materials. These would be awesome to use for our kids in our homeschool.

My children are 7, 10 and 12. We use Little Passports, map puzzles and online resources. We also always have a world map, a US map and a globe out for easy reference. My kids love making up trivia questions for each other too!
We have a 9 year old, a 2 year old, and a newborn. We’ve done the map work included in the Story of the World books, which is great for a historical perspective on things. We also have a map of the US and a world map on the wall and we frequently consult it to find out where various locations are. We also have a couple of map puzzles that we use. The labeling activities with these maps would be great for learning so much more.

Wow! What an amazing give away! I have a 7, 6 & 3 year old. We currently do Geography through osmosis when talking about other topics and finding out about things that the children are interested in. My son LOVES the Horrible History books so we are often finding places on the map to see where certain battles and horrible things went on. 😀

My boys are 9, 7, 5 and 2. We haven’t done much with geography yet, but this would be a fascinating way to start! I love Montessori things.
I have 4 kids- ages 2, 4, 6, and 7. We have big maps up around the house, which we use to talk about locations of countries, capitals, cultures, etc. We also use other tools (soft globe, placemats, apps, puzzles) to do quizzing and such. We eat meals that are traditionally cooked in other countries, play with dolls/toys that originated other places, etc. We’re only just now doing some “formal” learning of the names of countries and flags with my 7 year old… this set looks really fantastic!!!

I have an 8 year old who loves geography and spends hours poring over the few paper maps we have at home. We really need a better way to study geography than this. 7,9 and we use maps, Google Earth, a globe, some puzzles and online games. We are using Galloping the Globe with our Story of The World History.
My son is 5 years old. He has a world map on the wall in his room and a map of North America beside it. He also has a world map puzzle, which helped him learn the names and locations of the continents. We also talk about family and friends that live in other cities and countries and locate it on the map. He learns better with hands on activities so Pin It! Maps would be an awesome way for him to learn more geography!
I homeschool my 9, 7, and 4 year olds. We use a lot of Highlights Magazine stuff for geography.
My kids are 8 and 3. Right now we are following Carmen San Diego around the world. We watch one episode a week, map where she goes, and we are graphing how many times she visits each continent. It’s so much fun!
My two oldest children are homeschool graduates and are in college. We used workbooks in the younger years and a textbook in high school for geography. My youngest is age 9. We currently tie geography into our history and literature studies. This looks wonderful!!

My kids are 4, 5 ,7 and 9. We have lots of maps, globes, songs, and books that we use to learn about geography! These maps look like an invaluable resource!!! Three of my four children attended/attend Montessori preschool and we LOVE everything Montessori! There is such beauty to the materials and the method!!!
Kids are 8, 11, 13. We use sonlight for history and tie our geography into what we are studying in history. We are currently using trail guide to world geography along with the ultimate geography and timeline guide and a student atlas.
My kids are 16 and 6.
We always look at the map, which hangs in our living room, when we talk about things in the world, when read books to see where the author is from and where the story takes place, when we watch different sport events, like Olympics, when tracking our ebay orders from other countries. Also we collect packaging and envelopes with stamps from those packages for our geography boxes which my youngest loves the most. She also likes to “play” Montessori maps.

Hello! I have a brand new Montessori school in Rio Rancho, NM. My Elementary classroom has students ages 5-13 and we do a lot with geography! Currently we have been coloring blank maps and borrowing puzzle maps from the Primary classroom. We love atlases and books and occasionally enjoy electronic options. My kids are 17, 15 and 9. My 17 yr old is graduating this year…for the other two we explore maps and globes and they like to pick a country and then research it online. My 17 yr old participated in an “International Day” every year where a group of homeschooled kids each picked a country to research and then made a display telling all about it…even making the food that is common there. They had a blast learning all about the world and tasting many new foods!

We are currently home educating our three youngest kids (ages 5, 9, and 14), as our older two are now in college. We’ve used various methods of studying geography, even a home-made pin system similar to the one in the giveaway. Ours is very basic, utilizing my sewing pins and a world map glued to corkboard then attached to the wall of our homeschool room. We pin those countries we pray for as we read about them in God’s World News magazine for kids. PinIt! maps would be a great tool for our intercessory geography activities. Our kids are 21,16,14 and 12. We have used many geography homeschool curriculums and had little luck with consistent learning. Trail Guide to World Geography worked well for a while. This would be fantastic, with the incorporation of the 3D flags!
My children are 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2. I haven’t followed any geography curriculum. We bought a shower curtain that is a full world map and we love it! We also have a geography game called name that country. I would love to incorporate these maps into our homeschool. They look so fun and hands on and it seems like something that all of my children can use!

Our children are young, 4 years, 19 months and a newborn, so our geography consists of irregularly naming countries on a world map.
We live in the UK. My son is 6 and my daughter is nearly four. We currently use an illuminated globe to find out where places are (where relatives live, where animals’ habitats are, natural wonders etc.) and they also enjoy poring over road maps and ordnance survey maps when we visit new places. I ask them to imagine being birds in flight looking down on the landscape below as we travel, and we pay attention to signs which help us to tell where the cardinal points of the compass are. We are looking forward to tracking grandpa’s progress as he begins a two year sailing trip around the world and I am looking out for some large scale maps to help us!

Hello, our children are nearly 4 and 7 and they both share my fascination with geagraphy. We live at the bottom of the globe in New Zealand. We have a large wall map and flags around the edge and play games to track down countries and animals that live there. Blindfolds on and find the continents. I can almost hear the shrieks of delight to winning this amazing educational fun package. Fingers crossed for our two in little Nz.

My kids are 9 & 12. We have a globe and several maps hung around our home (including a large one by the kitchen table). We also have several geography-themed iPad apps. Although we haven’t been studying geography formally, we have frequent conversations about geography. I myself love maps, and my interest/enthusiasm seems to be rubbing off on my kids :). The “Pin it” products look like something our family would definitely enjoy.

We are doing lots of geography this year since my kids LOVE maps. We’ve got a fun maps and geography workbook to learn how to read maps. We have a great encyclopedia we just got. We’ll be studying the different countries with Around the World in 180 Days and World Expedition. We’ve learned all the states in the US and are going to be memorizing the countries, their flags and capitols as well. I want to do some map tracing as well. We’ve used index cards with the state/country shape outlined, with the name on it and then place the cards around over and over to be able to recognize where they are in relation to oceans, rivers, and other states/countries. We did this especially with the 13 colonies and my kids know exactly where they are on the map and in relation to one another.

My children are 6 and 2.5. We are studying geography this year with a mix of Montessori methods and Charlotte Mason style literature. We are also cooking our way around the world this year!
I just recently started homeschooling my kids (ages 9,5 and 3). I’ve been looking for interactive ways to teach them about geography and this looks like it would be so fun!
The children I have left at home are 14, 15, and 18; all boys. They struggle with geography, although we use books, maps, and a globe. These Pin It! Maps, being a more hands on approach, would make a huge difference in how they learn the material.

Children are 14, 13, 5, & 3. We’ve been using “boring” workbooks and an atlas but something like this would be amazing…especially since this year we’ll be including the younger two in our studies. Hands on learning is a must as we begin to homeschool our 5 year old who is on the spectrum. He just learns better that way.

My children are ages 6, 3 and 5 months. We received a “Little Passports” subscription last year which has been a lot of fun! In addition we check out books from the library about different countries and try new recipes to go with the country we learn about.
With 7 homeschool graduate, I am still homeschooling 4 – 15, 14, 10 and 7. Presently, we study geography using a variety of texts, workbooks, games and the good old globe!
My kids are 4, 9, and 11. We haven’t incorporated much geography into our studies but this would be a fun way to start. 🙂
I have an only son, age 6. We study geography along with culture based on mission stories that come with our church Bible lessons. So we know where offerings go and where the stories come from. I have a 6 year old and 9 year old. We just started studying geography and put some large maps in our hallway. Not the most efficient as we can’t see them from where we work…but it is a start!

By boys are 8 & 6. We need help with our geography studies!!! Currently we use student Atlas’s.
My daughter is 6. We currently use puzzle maps of Canada and the continents, Canadian province colouring pages with provincial bird, flower and flag, a globe and our atlas and encyclopaedias.
My kids are 11 and 9. Currently, we do country unit studies.
My children are 13 and 11 years old. We are new to homeschooling this year and are still planning/selecting our curriculum. At this point for Geography, I plan to use as many free resources as I can find and planned to purchase maps as I can afford it. We are purchasing Reading and Math curriculum and a laptop for each child so we need to keep the other costs low. This map set would be a great addition to our resources.
My kids are 9, 12, 14, 16, and 18. Geography has always fascinated my oldest and youngest boys in particular, and they have spent hours tracing large maps on the floor with extra-large tracing paper I try to keep on hand. We use “The Ultimate Geography and Timeline Guide” as curriculum, and my kids compete in a geography bee with our homeschool co-op, which is extra fun.
I have three kids ages 9, 10, and 14. We currently do not have a geography curriculum so this would be great!
My son will be 14 tomorrow. Our humble little classroom is practically wallpapered with maps. Geography is the ONLY subject he likes and will do on his own without prompting. I have had to hide geography workbooks from him so he doesn’t “devour” them too quickly. I try to tie EVERY subject that I can to geography so that he will pay attention. He would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this!!!!!
I have an 8 and 10 year old. We make flags on index cards picking one country at a time. We color the flag on one side and read about it and then write something on the back of it about the country. We make tiny flags to tape onto the map on a smaller piece of index card. They really enjoy this. I read about the country while they color the flag.
I have two boys, 7 & 11 this year.
We used Galloping the Globe for a awhile and got a good sense of the the different continents and countries . Right now our geography is learnt through reading Mystery of History Vol 1 and now 2. We are Singaporeans, and have only travelled to Australia and Malayisa as a family. But it is always done with a first look at the map, and getting an idea of where we going and what we are doing where we travel. Thanks for this ????????
I homeschool my 11,8 and 3 year old and we look at the globe / atlas and use work books for geography but haven’t done very much of it lately but they would absolutely LOVE this. Hope we win ☺

I have Celia who is 8, Mikey who is 7, Xavier is 4, and Lucia is 2. We study geography by playing the M & M game on our Classically Carholic Nemory maps. We also asked friends to send postcards from their homes or vacations this summer, mapped where they came from, and ate a food from the place!

My daughter is 11 and we started using Which Way in the USA from Highlights and Little Passports. . we have wall size world and USA maps that we refer too. . .this looks like fun!

We don’t do as much geography, though these would be a fun way to get started!

Kiddos are 11 and 12. We had used classical conversations in the past. We also have a geography coop that does unit studies on countries. We’re considering what our next step should be. This would be great for us.
This looks amazing! I homeschool my three children ages 14, 11, 8. We currently use lots of different kinds of atlases but have been looking for some good wall maps to use with pins. This would be perfect!
I have 5 kids-18, 14, 11,8,5. We study using songs, books, maps, online research, dry erase maps, a shower curtain map, and blow-up globes….whatever we can get our hands on to learn geography.
My kids are 13, 11, 9, and 6. Currently we use a globe and reference it when we come across new countries in our reading or documentaries. This year, especially, we are going to hit the 50 states!
3 kids ages 11, 8, and 15mos. My 8 year old is fascinated with our world map and globe and loves showing/teaching our 15mo old the continents and countries. We have been studying geography using the Literature approach to geography guide to the Holling C Holling Books .

My kids are 8, 6, 3, and 1. We have a world map and US map on the wall and refer to them whenever a place gets mentioned during our studies. We are learning to sing the continents song. My oldest gets the Top Secret Agent Adventures from Highlights once a month that teaches her about a country. And the oldest two do map work exercises from the Story of the World Activity book whenever we do a new chapter.
Oh my goodness! As a Montessori alumni, I love these so much!
My kids are 11, 9, 8, 6 and almost-2, and we currently study geography fairly organically—by looking at maps to see where the places in our books and conversations are located, putting together puzzles, etc. But I’d love to add this set to our system!

I have a 6 year old who is a hands on learner. That being said he has epilepsy and so our schooling is very slow but hands on. We have not started exploring geography yet as a subject and this would be an amazing tool to help him learn! He loves watching videos on different cultures and asks lots of questions about where places are but we dont have anything hands on to help him learn as yet.

My girls are 33 and 24 (but I would love to win this prize for my grandchildren. My girls went to a wonderful Montessori school and learned geography with maps and flags and other Montesssori materials.
2 boys aged 6 and 4. we currently use outdated atlases at home.
Ages 6 and 3. We are currently studying geography through biome unit studies. Learning about Alaska, Canada, etc through Tundra research 🙂 Globes and wall maps.
My kids are 7 and 4 and we currently studying geography by doing one-country-at-a-time cultural study. We have just done Chile as that is in our family heritage.

My kids are 12, 10, and 6. We use a globe and some laminated maps that came with our curriculum. We usually mark different cities or countries as we read about them. We also play geography games on the computer. What an amazing resource to study geography!

My daughter is 8 and my son is 15. My son is mildly autistic and is obsessed with geography, especially national flags. Obviously both of my kids would benefit from this but my son would absolutely LOVE it! Right now we use wall maps, library travel books, and Google Earth.
I homeschool our six year old and use globes and the wall map.

How old are your kids, and how do you currently study geography in your homeschool? –
My kids are 16, 15, 11.5, 9, 7, and nearly 5. Yes, we do currently study geography! The 9 and 7yo studied a full world geography course last year, and they’ll do some focused United States geography this year. The 11.5 and 15yo will study world geography this year. “The baby” will start with Legends and Leagues next school year for first grade.
My kids are 8 and 10. We keep track of many things we encounter on reproducible maps. We will track Santa’s progress through NORAD, the mushers in the Iditarod, the locations of the books we read, events covered by CNN Student news; you name it, we’ve probably tracked it or annotated it for at least a little bit. Any chance to break out a map or globe is a good reason to deviate from other plans I made 🙂

My kids are 8, 6, and 1. We have mostly focused on local geography through exploration, mapping, geocaching, and orienteering. We have global maps and an atlas but this set seems wonderfully interactive in a way that regular globes and maps aren’t.

My children are 6, 4 & 2. We currently have a world map under the glass top of our kitchen table. Every time we read a story, or study some event in history in our lessons, we get out a dry erase marker, outline the country, a possible travel route and find a few facts about the area. We also have family and friends that are missionaries, as well as being involved in several other world missions organizations. It give us LOTS of opportunity to learn! In this day and age, geography shouldn’t need to be taught separately from history lessons, or a general keeping up to date on current events. Just sit down and answer your curious littles’ questions! You’d be amazed what they learn!

Hi, my children are 17,15 & 4. We learn geography by using map puzzles & studying traditional food around the globe. We also do map reading at various parks & while driving via google maps.
My son is seven and we have been traveling a lot this summer and working through road maps. From Alaska to California.
I have 3, 14, 11, and 7 that are currently homeschooling. I was personally homeschooled as well. We study geography by talking about people who have already visited there! 🙂 Also we study geography with some mapwork, it drags along though. 🙂
We use print out maps of areas our kids are interested in. We also use our world map, globe, and Google earth to explore.

12 & 13. Just starting to homeschool next year and have not decided on what we are going to use although I have used material from Knowledge Quest.
My two sons are 4 and 7. We have a workbook, a globe and a world map. Our geography studies have not yet been very extensive, but much more is planned or the coming year.
My children are 4 and 6, currently we ‘live’ geography, we have been living in South Africa and finding out all we can about the country and people for 6 years, we are now in a transition of moving home to Scotland, which is actually a foreign country to the kids, so they are learning more and more each day about the Scottish countryside and people.
I have a 10yo boy, 8yo girl, 6yo boy, 3yo boy and 1yo girl. We don’t have a geography curriculum, but we have a wall with a world map and US map hanging on it and ask the kids “find it” questions. I’d love to have this resource!
We use map books and use history of the world. We also use 5 in a row and research all the places we read about in the book selection:-) my kids are 4,7, and 9.
Hi there, my children are 7 and 4 years old. We don’t “do geography” we have topics chosen by the children and incorporate geography anyway we can that is creative. Currently we are reading Around the World in 80 days (a children’s version of the original) and following the journey by making passports, stamps and tickets to mark the journey as we read as well as looking up all the destinations on our globe and atlas and drawing out the route on a map. For local geography – we explore and visit all the interesting sites we can manage.
I have a 12 and 10 year old. We drill geography using paper maps. My son will practice drawing and labeling maps this year.
