Here’s a step by step guide to walk you through the process of purchasing and downloading audiobooks!

Note: This is how it works for those in the US, but details and deals may vary for international readers

Step 1. Download the free Audible app to the device of your choice.

You’ll log into it using the same login you use for Amazon. (You don’t need an Audible subscription to have and use the Audible app or to take advantage of any of these deals!)

Step 2. Click one of the links on the audio directory deals page that interests you.

It will either take you to a Kindle page on Amazon.com or an audiobook page on Amazon.com

For Kindle Audiobook Deals:

If my link takes you to a Kindle page, that is the RIGHT page you need to be at (don’t switch)!

Click the box “Add Audible book to your purchase” and THEN click “Buy now with 1-Click” (even if the ebook is free). (Also note that you don’t have to have a physical Kindle to be able to do this or take advantage of these audiobook deals. You can use the Kindle app to read them or just disregard the Kindle version if you’re only interested in the audiobook.)

If you’re using a desktop/laptop, you can also listen to a sample from the Kindle page to make sure it’s the narrator you want!

Troubleshooting FAQ: If you’ve already downloaded one of the Kindle books & just want to add the audiobook, head to this link (affiliate).

For Regular Audiobook Deals:

If one of my links from the audio directory takes you to an audiobook deal/page on Amazon (& not a Kindle page), here’s what you do:

If you’re using a desktop/laptop, you can listen to a sample from this page to make sure it’s the narrator you want! The button to listen to a sample appears underneath the cover of the book.

Look for the area that says “Buy with 1-Click” (NOT the area that says “FREE with Audible trial”). Click the buy button and complete your purchase.

Step 3. Log in to your Audible app and refresh it.

The books you’ve purchased will be waiting for you in your library section like magic. Download as needed and you can listen on the go or whenever!
