My girls are 8 and 11 and our favorite nature activity is to explore the wooded ravine in our backyard. We have observed deer and wild turkeys, discovered eggs and nests fallen from trees, and we have seen hawks flying above and heard owls hooting at night.
My kids are 8, 6, 4, and 2. They are currently loving sledding with all the snow that has dumped recently. 🙂
My children are 6, 9, 12, and 15. One of our favorite nature-based activities is to explore the local nature trails. We live along the Missouri River near a section of the river which is designated as a national park. I’ve liked both Oak Meadow and Simple Homeschool. Thank you!
Hello! My girls are 5 and 8 and I think our favorite nature activity is to explore the park near our house. It has a creek!

I have one daughter, 10. She loves finding animals and bugs, gardening and all outdoor activities. She has been caring for 4 toads she found in our yard for a year. She also cares for a bearded Dragon. This is our first year homeschooling and it has been a real blessing.
Good morning 🙂
my kid’s are 10 & 11. We love nature hikes, there’s a wonderful woodsy garden trail near our home we walk often. It really shows the kids the tiny changes the environment makes on a regular basis.
My kids are 3, 5, &11. We’re lucky to live in Northern Michigan with Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore nearby. 4 seasons of beauty, nature, and fun for the whole family. We can do all of our favorite activities: swim, hike, and xc ski, birdwatch, and track animal prints. Plus the wildflowers are spectacular: huge wooded patches of trillium and jack-in-the-pulpit. Breathtaking!

My 3 Children are Almost 12, 9, and 7. They are such a delight to us. Our favourite nature activities ?? Hmmm, there are so many. We have recently moved to the other side of the world from New Zealand to Canada. In New Zealand our favourite thing to do was to look in the creeks on our farm, for eels, and small fish, and even birds nesting in the banks of grass, now we are in Canada we are experiencing a whole new environment that is covered in snow. We love watching the squirrels rushing about and waiting everyday for the arrival of spring so we can see what is truly out there. We can’t wait identify plants and small creatures featured in our Canadian guides. We keep a nature table to collect and enjoy the things we find out and about, that are interesting around our yard and neighbourhood.
My children are 5, 3, and 1. I’ve been researching curriculum and am drawn to Oak meadow. Our favorite nature things to do are explore the wild, pick berries, garden and just be outdoors!

I have a five year old son and we’re enjoying the start of our home education journey! We LOVE exploring new trails even in the winter and are grateful for all the wonderful Mass Audubon properties we have nearby. At the moment we’re under 80″+ of snow and we’ve been making pinecone bird feeders for our winter feathered friends. A favorite pastime is trying to identify the ones that having been visiting our home.
