Special Tracks

The lovely Sarah Mackenzie will also be speaking at all the GHC conferences this year!

  • Cynthia Tobias, a regular contributor and radio broadcaster for Focus on the Family, will be speaking in our Parenting Track along with Norm Wakefield, Drive Thru History’s Dave Stotts,  Thomas White, Pastor Randy Frazee, and more.
  • Warner Wallace, atheist-turned-Christian author and homicide detective, will speak to our teens during the Real Faith for the Real World teen track.
  • Sarah Mackenzie,  Christopher Perrin, Adam Andrews, John De Gree, Dr. Carol Reynolds, S.D. Smith, and more, are back and better than ever, presenting invaluable sessions for the Classical Education Track.
  • New this year is our Charlotte Mason Track with guest presenters Brandy Vencel,  Jen Spencer, and Sheila Carroll.
  • Janice Campbell will be sharing her wisdom and years of experience as a seasoned homeschooler in the Homeschool 101 track structured to guide beginning homeschooling families and those just considering homeschooling.
  • Our College Track, sponsored by Cedarville University, will address theme Life Beyond High School: How to pay for and go through the process of choosing the right college.
  • Parents with Special Needs and Gifted Children will be encouraged in home-educating children who struggle to overcome learning disabilities and how to continually engage a child who may be learning at a higher level. Colleen Kessler,  Peg Dawson and Kathy Kuhl will be leading this track.

Exhibit Hall

A huge exhibit hall will be available for you to explore all the best curriculum and homeschooling resources available under one roof. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes!

Many of the curriculum authors will be present to answer your questions and help you decide which curriculum best fits your child’s learning style. There is no better way to make that all-important curriculum decision than to have “hands-on” access to every possible resource, right before your eyes.

    My dudes are 4 and 6… so next year we will more than likely have them at kindergarten and first grade level. I’m feeling like our current curriculum might be a little bit much for us, and I would LOVE to go check out more on the Charlotte Mason style. I’m super hands on and visual, so going to see these speakers and their books will help a ton!

    I have an only daughter and she is 13. I’m torn because I would love to go and hear all the speakers on the Classical education track, but I would also like to hear the Charlotte Mason speakers too, especially Brandy Vencel. I’ve never been to this convention, so thank you for the chance to win the tickets to go!

    I went to the GHC last year for the first time and I LOVED it! I would LOVE to go back! My kids are 6, 4, and 2, and I would attend a blend of the classical and charlotte mason tracks in Fort Worth, TX!

    I would love to attend the Texas Convention with my newborn. My oldest is 10 and even though he goes to private school now I haven’t abandoned homeschooling. I enjoy learning more from the experience of people who have done it before me and I am currently working on educating myself in subjects I want to explore.

    My boys are 4, 2 and a newborn. I would love to attend because right now I feel a little overwhelmed at all the options of curriculum and this would definitely help me get started off on the right foot! I would love to attend the midwest convention!

    I would attend Cincinnati, my children are 15, 13, 10, & 7. I took my girls last year to CIncinnati – and they loved it!! Would be a blessing to be able to attend this year!

    I don’t know if the contest is open to Canadians– but i would love to go down to SC and visit my brother while attending the homeschool convention. My kids are 9 and 7. It would be so much fun to get to go down that way!
