My recommendations this week:
I’ve been waiting for YEARS until I could share this movie with the kids, and this was finally the week. We’re going to make a new autumn tradition and watch the series each October. Like I told them, it’s one of those rarities that IS actually almost as good as the book!
One of Jonathan’s (age 10) goals this semester is to get more familiar with multiplication. He also loves games so I ordered this card game and we enjoyed playing it for the first time today. Worth checking out if you also have kids learning their times tables!
Featured sponsors this week:

Looking for a kid-friendly microscope? Home Science Tools carries this introductory one (for ages 5-13) to entice your budding scientists without sacrificing quality. It features real glass optics & a metal frame, & each one is inspected for quality control before being shipped.
Registration is now open for Great Homeschool Conventions upcoming conferences–including the next one in Texas February 2015! I’m inspired by Benjamin Carson who will be there as a speaker, along with so many others. Other locations include SC, OH, & CA.
