Educating the Wholehearted Child was like water to a weary soul when it arrived on my doorstep many years ago, and I have gone back to its centered, steady wisdom again and again since that time.
Up next on our read-aloud list – this suspenseful World War II novel that takes place during the German occupation of France, in which 20 school children attempt to hide 10 Jewish children from the Nazis. A good pick for ages 10 and up.
