102. Obviously, each homeschool family can and should decide for itself which resources to use for spiritual training, but I feel obliged to provide a warning about these materials. IF YOU ARE AN EVANGELICAL FAMILY (i.e., you hold the Word of God to be authoritative and true from start to finish), you will NOT want to expose your kids to these materials. The author flat-out states he does not believe in a literal Adam and devotes significant time (in writing and speaking) to trying to convince adults that Genesis is allegorical, not literal. Do not be deceived by a wolf in sheep’s clothing; Susan Wise Bauer claims faith in Christ, but she has allowed a deceiver to publish under her company’s religious books imprint. BE CAREFUL!

152. Jamie, I just entered the contest and then looked more into this curriculum. I’m not wanting to start a debate here, but I didn’t know anything about the author of this curriculum, Peter Enns. This curriculum looks GREAT on the surface, but the author’s beliefs don’t line up with mine at all, and maybe not yours either. I suggest you research Peter Enns and especially BioLogos, of which he is the “senior fellow” right now – they teach “theistic evolution”. We need to be very, very careful of what we teach our kids. Many will be deceived in the end times – don’t let your guard down, and pray that God gives each of us discernment in what we are teaching our children. Again, I’m not wanting to start a debate, but just wanting to shed some light 🙂

174. Thank you for the amazing resources that you’ve posted on this site. I’ve garnered much over the last few weeks, and although I’ve been homeschooling for a few years, I feel more prepared than I ever have for this new year.
