Welcome to today’s giveaway–sponsored by Artterro eco-art kits:
Description from Forrest Espinoza, founder & CEO of Artterro:
“Here at Artterro we make Eco Art Kits, and there’s nothing else quite like them! In 2008, I was shopping for a craft kit for my young sons, and noticed lots of uninspiring projects, cheap materials and wasteful packaging.
I decided to make a high-quality, eco-friendly, engaging art kit so that parents would have a convenient way to bring art into the home and have a great time as a family.
With the help of my business partner, Jennifer Conn, and the rest of our team in Madison, the Artterro line now includes 11 titles that make it easy to explore needle felting, decoupage, art journaling and more.
Each kit is assembled by hand in Wisconsin, and contains beautiful, inspiring materials.”
“This October we will be re-launching Artterro.com with even more creative gift options, like artist tools, extra materials and gift sets.
We like to provide resources along with a great shopping site, so be sure to sign up for our newsletter for DIY project ideas and art inspirations, plus special holiday promotions.
I hope you enjoy our kits as much as my family does!”
Today one lucky Simple Homeschool reader will win the following package from Artterro:
- 1 Creativity Kit
- 1 Art Dolls Kit
- 1 Canvas Book Kit
- 1 Collage Jewelry Kit (total value $102)

My son is 5 and I need help! We cut cardboard and that’s about it. This would be great for art challenged people like me.
Amanda
I’ve got a 5 year old daughter, a 2 year old daughter, and a 7 month old son. We’ve always got a basket filled with crayons/colored pencils/markers on our schoolroom table, and lots of little notebooks for coloring or drawing. Recently my 2 year old has started cutting colored paper and gluing it to another sheet of paper – hooray for collages!
Joy
I have a 7 year old and a 1.5 year old so we run the gamut from finger painting to mural making
Julie
My kids are 9, 8, 5, and 1. I just let them be creative in their own ways. A lot of time they are making things out of trash. 🙂 This would be awesome for those of us who are creatively challenged.
Natalie
17, 12, 10 are the ages of my children. We have incorporated art since the early ages from simple crafts to museum trips to art history and appreciation courses.
Our favorite way is usually by finding the art in nature because who can top THE Creator.

My daughter is 5 and loves art! But it’s a struggle for me. Right now I let her draw and paint, but anything beyond that I have a hard time coming up with creative opportunities for her or knowing how to engage her. Mostly I throw stuff on the table and let her explore!

I have 4 kiddos (making this offer that much more special-they’d each get something unique) ages 13, 11 1/2, 10, 7 1/2. This would be SO brilliant to experience these creative elements!! Thanks for the opportunity 🙂

Art supply’s don’t last to long in my house and they can get spenndy but it keeps them happy and using their imaginations so I try to keep things on hand.

We have been making puppet animals out of paper bags. One for every letter of the alphabet. We run our homeschool on a tight budget but there are tons of things you can do on a tight budget 🙂 This prize package would be a blessing to us. I know my daughter would love it very much! Thank you for the chance 🙂

My daughter is 7 and we try to connect our lessons of the day with a craft. For example, when we studied ancient Egypt, we made pyramids, and she loves Cleopatra (as Cleo loved cats, too), so we made a mask of Cleopatra and some coloring pages, too.
We do seasonal crafts, too. Pumpkin of paper mache and felt bats and ghosts.
This would be a great help for us!

Hi Jamie,
Our boy-girl twins are 3 and 1/2 and they both love art. They usually start their day with painting – they are pretty serious about it and I often run out of paper. They also do a lot of drawing, cutting and gluing. We collect empty toilet paper rolls, color them and turn them into different animals. We also make bracelets and started doing some sewing. I know the children are a “bit” younger than the recommended age :), but we would still love to try these wonderful creative kits out. Have a wonderful day, Anita from Hungary
Cindy Gillis
My daughter is 14 and has always loved arts and crafts. She takes 2 art classes each week and 1 craft class. She also loves sewing and is enrolled in classes there throughout the month. In addition, we visit our local craft and stamp shops (especially Hobby Lobby!) and a ceramic painting studio. She loves to scrapbook, make cards and create her own jewelry designs. Thank you for the opportunity to win!

My girls are 7 & 9. During our fall home school co-op we always hire an art teacher to help out the mom’s that do not enjoy art. My girls love that. We also get ideas off pinterest and use various books off our shelves for inspiration. I would love to buy some kits that have everything we need and are self-explanatory so I could set my girls free with them.
Hilarie
My girls are 9 and 7 and love art projects, but I haven’t organized much beyond drawing so far. These kits look great!
Brooke
My kids are 6.5, 5 and 2.5. We love art of all kinds and have always done art since the kids were little. I encourage creativity and curiosity in all things and have plenty of art materials available for use whenever the kids have an urge to create. Then I supply specific tools and instructions to learn new art techniques on a regular basis. I believe art is important for so many reasons, but especially to give us a positive outlet for feelings and dreams to become more tangible.
Stacy
My kids are 6 and 2. We try to bring in art whenever we can, but it often happens when they are with other groups more than at home.

Cala
My kiddos are 11 and 12. We are very informal with our art right now, letting their creative brains flow as they wish. My son is a very right brained learner so we use craft projects to integrate core subjects as often as we can. Even if he’s just “creating” while I’m teaching.
Dianne Loucks
I am learning along side two children – one is five and the other if seven. What I have been doing is first to introduce art areas and then each child has made and decorated their own jars. One for each area – Drama, Music & Movement, Visual and, Dance. Then each child has brainstormed actual activities that they would like to do for each are – or as many as they think up (we can always add or eliminate). Then each week they choose what we will concentrate on the following week. I prepare by assembling a range of materials to be used. Then I stand back and watch the creative process ( helping if needed and reinforcing the process not the product).
Trena
My daughter is 8 years old and loves art. I am not great at putting together projects. These kits look awesome for a mom like me.

My daughter is 6 and is easy to engage in art. She loves all sorts of crafts – from bead jewelry to markers and crayons. We’re fortunate that our family and friends all know she loves crafts and readily fill our art closet at birthdays and Christmas, but like mentioned in the article – the kits are often cheap and wastefully packaged. We use what we have an my daughter loves it all the same but I’ve been wanting to give Artterro a try and this would be a great oplortunity. Thanks for the opportunity!

I have children who are 5 1/2, 4, 1 1/2, and a baby on the way. I have loved letting my kids really explore their own creativity with open ended painting, and an emphasis on blank page coloring over coloring books. We’ve had so much fun by mixing it up and painting rocks or sticks. They don’t want to ever stop when we do that! So glad I discovered this way of approaching art for me and my kids! Would be wonderful to get stocked up on supplies to ignite their imaginations!

My kids are 9, 6, and 2. Art at our house usually consists of lots of paper, scissors, and crayons transformed into masterpieces. We don’t have fancy tools, but my kids love to draw and create.
Karin Ascot
My son is almost 7, my daughter just turned 4. We go to museums and have lots of books (for kids and adults) with art: photos of works by famous artists as well as illustrations for stories. We often talk about the pictures. I’ve always had them make pictures to enclose with thank-you cards when someone has given them a gift. Their work is colorful and very free-form. Son participated in an art camp this past summer and loved it: one day for painting, one for sculpting, one drawing, etc. The kids have paper, paints, crayons, clay, and they use them regularly. And my son makes sculptures and playthings out of all kinds of random objects. They are so creative; it is really important to me that they never lose that. I love these art kits, which would give them ideas and materials to make new beautiful – and useful! – things.

My kids are 12, 7, and 3 (two boys and a girl). The oldest enjoys drawing, but that’s about it. They take a six-week art class at a local art museum each year, and he doesn’t enjoy the “messier” projects, but does like drawing and sometimes painting. My middle guy lives for the craft box coming out and can create for hours. He loves anything artsy! The baby is three, but with developmental delays…she’s still getting the hang of putting crayon/pencil to paper (and everything goes in her mouth!) so she doesn’t really do any art yet, besides the occasional scribble. (She likes adding “art” to library books…sigh… 😉 )
Molly
My boys are 6 and 5. They are addicted to perler beads. I try to leave other little things out to grab their attention as well.
Sarah Blasing
My children are 11, 8, and 5. We do lots of different art projects. Using nature, play doh, painting, canvas…… Whatever we feel inspired to that day. Seasons are always fun to follow with different ideas too. We also like Pinterest ideas and different art classes that are offered around the area from self portraits to tie dye shirts!
Laura
My kids are 10 & 13, and my 10 year old is the most artistic of the two. This year I’m implementing sketch books for our history lessons to bring more art into our schooling. We frequently visit local art museums & exhibits, & my youngest always has a project going – currently, she’s painting rocks she collected at the park & working on an ink drawing using multi-colored pens she recently received for her birthday. These kits would bring a new dimension to our activities!
Jaime B
We use Artistic Pursuits and they take advantage of free time to draw and get out their craft boxes to make creative things. We are also involved in homeschool programs at the library where they get to create things.
Jaime B
Oh, and my kids are 8, 5, and 1 1/2
Bethany Mason
My daughter is 6 and my son is 3. They LOVE doing art! My daughter is especially always finding ways to express her creativity. We journal with pictures, paint, make sculptures with nature walk items, decorate our walls with whatever theme we’re studying, write songs with story boards, create “fairy homes” with items from the yard, make habitats for creatures we find… we are constantly in creativity mode. My daugther would LOVE the Arterro items!
Kate
My kids are 5,5, 4, 2, & 10 mos. we engage them with art by keeping materials available for them to explore. Right now they’re all very into watercolor!
Anna
I provide my kids with art supplies and books and let them create their own things.
Illya Gonzalez
My daughters are 12 years old and they love to draw, color, create.
I have tons of supplies for them which just boosts their desire to be artists.
Jill
My children are 6, 7, and 7. We study different artists, their art, and do arts and crafts projects at least twice a week. We also enjoy touring museums.
Jody M
My kids are 3 and 5. They love doing art projects. We mostly color with crayon, color pencils, marker and the we paint. Sometimes its a formal porject with this is our goal and othersit what ever they want to create.
Alicia Joslin
My kids are 10 and 1 and I babysit a 3 yr old every day. I collect lots of random supplies like colored paper, crayons, buttons, beads, and string so that they have a variety of materials to make stuff out of. I also have drawing books and held some drawing classes for kids in the neighborhood over the summer by following the instructions in the books.
Eunice B.
My 9 year old boy doesn’t love art and crafts at all, but comes up with some artistic (crazy) ideas when I “make” him do it. That is fun to see. My 8 year old girl loves to draw and do any kind of craft. She makes whatever she imagines. She figured out how to make little paper boxes for her crafts she gives away as gifts. She is amazing! Sometimes you just have to give them free reign on supplies.
Amalia
My (twin) boys are 9. They have always loved drawing and painting and lately we have been getting excited about making collages.
We also have a great time making creatures and scenes with sculpey and other types of clay.
Kate B.
My kids are 7 and 11. I try to provide lots of good supplies at the ready, then step back and let them explore.
Meredith Clark
I have a 5 year old who has always loved drawing. We encourage her draw with pencils, pens, markers. I have been showing her how to paint with fingers, sponges and even random objects. Right now our focus is to show her that art is everwhere – statues, paintings, photographs and jewelry surround us and we point them out to her. Lately she wants to capture art and nature using her camera and occasionally mine.
Benita
My daughter is 13. As a fairly inexperienced homeschooler, I need all the help and advise I can get in teaching art. Right now I’m still in the “planning stages” of how to engage in art.
Kelly
My 5 kids range from 5 to 14. My 3 youngest dig into the craft cabinet every time I turn around. The older 2, both boys, prefer more digital graphic style art lessons. The eldest has branched out into photography. Museums and artist discussions are enjoyed by all.
Becky C
My boys are 10 and 7. Yes, we try to make room for art in our homeschooling but I keep finding I let it fall to the wayside. I should know better as I am a designer by trade. This would be a great push to keep us on the art track!
Ana
My homeschool-aged children are 5 boys 7-16. We brainstorm art projects through our history reading, use handy materials, and draw constantly! We talk about what makes a piece interesting….”Did you notice how the artist drew those eyebrows? They make the character look angry (or sad, or frightened). Notice what makes us know this is a picture of a windy day.” We learn a lot by observing…. Thank you for the chance….
Delfina Holmes
My daughter is 8. She is great at creative art. She is always drawing something, sewing something, or painting something on her own with little encouragement from me. It’s wonderful to see her so interested in art.
Jennifer
My kids are 12, 9, and 4. I have encouraged art/creativity by keeping a large supply of art materials easily accessible and available anytime they want to use their imaginations and create. We also have a more “formal” art time/instruction twice a week.
Aubrey R
My kiddo is 7 and she actively seeks out arts and crafts…she loves to make things and draw.
Ashlee
My kids are 5.5 and 3. We use art constantly, I love art. We try and do at least one art project a day.

My homeschooled girls are 3&7. We always have the basics available on a shelf. To encourage, I simply set out art supplies on our dining table or kitchen island and my oldest daughter will almost always create something, or ask me to join along. My little one, not so much.
Amy K
My kids are 2 and 4, so right now it’s pretty much just painting and drawing and maybe a little scissor time 🙂
amanda kuykendall
My kids are ages 12, 9, 8, 2. They always have access to crayons, colored pencils, paper and are always creating something. I also just made an “inspiration box” to be used during quiet time- it has various craft supplies so they can create whatever they want.
Sarah M
Love Arterro! My kiddos are 5 & 7 and are all over these types of crafts. 🙂

My kids ages are 8, 7, 5 and 2. They finger knit, draw, paint and enjoy it all quite a lot. Also, i don’t feel the need to have separate projects for different genders. They all love any type of art and being creative.
Thanks a lot for this giveaway!
Cassandra
What a fun giveaway! We’re still in the process of adopting our first child (11 years old) but have already bought a number of fun art kits and supplies. My husband studied painting in college and hopes to pass along his love of art to our children.
Jennifer Schulz
My girls are ages 7 and 4 1/2 and I engage them in art by putting out the materials and providing suggestions but not dictating that they do things a certain way.
Amanda
They’re six and under. I try to make the supplies accessible. Beyond that, just sitting and creating with them always makes them want to try more.
Anna L.
I have a 12 yo girl and a 10 yo boy. The girl enjoys crafting cards for friends. The son enjoys building and construction type of crafts. We often will do history related art projects.
Pam / Hey, Miss Adventures!
My daughter is 1.5 years old. We do lots of coloring and doodling for most of the time – she loves it when we draw shapes and write letters and numbers. Hopefully we can find the time to let her do some finger painting and watercolors. We’ve been wanting to do that for months now!

Alana is 3, almost 4. She has her own creativity corner where she can engage in whatever suits her fancy. There is also an easel. She has chosen not to curb the impulse to draw on the floor lately so we’ve removed those temporarily. She has lots of fun with glue, scissors and miscellaneous outdoor treasures lately.
Hope Desormeaux
My daughters are 7 & 5. They both love to draw, trace, paint, color, & create all sorts of things with play dough. We watch Bob Ross videos & they try to copy him! 🙂 They love any ‘How to Draw’ books.
LaVonne

My kids are 5, 3 1/2, 2 and3 months. We paint, work with construction paper, play with play dough, draw and make things with any pipe cleaners or other supplies we have.
Lynda
My son is 5 and since the weather in our area is beautiful right now, we’re doing as many “outside crafts” as possible–sidewalk chalk, painting on the driveway with water, collecting leaves for rubbings, and going to the beach for sand sculpturing when we can!
Corinne
4, 2, and a wee one, we paint, permission to make beautiful messes in whatever medium they choose:)
Joy
I won’t lie! Incorporating art into curriculum is challenging for me. As much as I wish I was, I’m just not that crafty! haha! So instead, I try to find art contests for my children to enter, allow them plenty of time and give them materials for free time to do art as they choose.
Rebecca
My kids are 7, 5, and 2. I supply them with paint, crayons, markers or paint and let them be creative.
Clarissa
My children are 1 & 3. I engage them with drawing, painting, collecting things and play dough, as well as stickers and collage. These kits would be beautiful and amazing to have in our collection.
Alexis Christenson
My children are five, six and eight. We find artistic inspiration in audio books and real life. I like to leave art materials out for them to create what they want when inspiration strikes as well as lessons with new mediums.
Holly Brown
My kids are 2 & 4. Art is not my strong suit but I know how important it is so I try. We usually paint, color and draw. I’ve done some crafting stuff like making paper masks, crowns, etc. Since art isn’t my strongest point, I usually need help in gathering ideas and materials so something that’s already packaged and ready to go for me is AWESOME!

I have an 8 year-old boy and a 10 year-old girl. My daughter loves to draw, color and paint, just anything that has to do with art. My son is a little more reluctant although he has requested an art afternoon every now and then. We usually look at famous artist and their art, read about them and then try to use their techniques.
Charissa
I have three boys, ages two, four, and six years old. I tried to engage them with Art through covering our walls for table and letting them paint, color, explore. We have also tried copying some pictures we’ve seen by a famous artist, and use different art lab books that we have borrowed from the library for more ideas. Thanks!
Bree Mooney
Our kids are 5 and 7, and both of them are very creative. Our daughter takes art classes through a homeschool co-op. Both kids love to take advantage of the arts and crafts supplies that we keep in our school room.

My girls are 5 (twins) and in order to give them freedom to create I cleaned out the hutch drawers in the dining room and put all of their paper and crayons, markers and watercolors in their along with stickers and staplers, etc. Now they can get their supplies out at will and make whatever they like. They have free reign to use whatever mom has put in the cabinet for them. It works really well for us even if it creates a bit of a mess almost every day!

my house is constantly covered in crayons, markers, papers, scissors etc… i’m learning to try and focus on the mess being a result of fun, creativity and learning that is taking place instead of being annoyed that, “yet again this room totally got trashed!” 🙂
Marie
My kids are 11 and 10 and they are both very creative and imaginative. My daughter loves art and crafts of all kinds, so it’s easy to get her engaged. My son is more of a builder so I can pull him in with sculpting and 3-D types of crafts.

Cheri

Charyse H.
My daughter is 6…as I am not very artistic I am more willing to let her take the lead on art projects. This summer when the flies were bad, she made a fly catcher by fashioning paper into a large fly…not very effective at catching flies but quite creative.
Cate Wagoner
My granddaughter has been making art since she was 18 months old. She is now 11 and is being homeschooled for the first time…..art lessons for her is my contribution to this [so far] wonderful challenge. She lives on a farm and tomorrow we are painting vegetables; I’m learning ,too!! Love the premise behind your work-kudos to your efforts. Cate

Heather
My kids are 13, 11, and 7, and I am terrible at engaging them with art. I typically end up with packages from craft stores which most often disappoint. Hoping something like this would yield happier results.
Penny
My girls are 9, 9 and 8. I limit their screen time and they come up with super creative projects or play themes on their own. Lately is was paper towel soccer uniforms for their stuffed animals.
Ruth
My girls are 9, 8 and almost 6. We do all sorts of art. The girls love to paint, do purler beads and making pony bead animals. They colour and draw. We use materials from our yard to create pictures. This stuff is right up their alley
Geneva
My kids are 10 and 13. I help them engage in art by doing so myself. They see me doodle, knit, and create things. They see me fail at doing it well sometimes, and they see me keep doing it anyway. We go to art museums. We play with a stash of art materials I keep in the middle of the living room/school space. We talk about art. When the opportunity presents itself we take art classes, sometimes together. We also explore music and dance. I’ve tried to teach them that you don’t have to be “good at” art to do art. I’ve known way too many people who give up making art once they are adults and have “a real job”, and who tell themselves that only professional artists can produce art. I want to convince my kids that they can play with art lifelong, whether or not they choose to call themselves artists. The ability to create art is part of what makes us human.
Jean
4y/o boy who is just beginning to enjoy drawing, but is always creating something. I like to provide the raw materials and let him create from there.
Samara
My kids are 9, 7 and 5. The girls are into magic loom big time, and they’ve started some sewing! All the kids enjoy perler beads, card making, painting and colouring. I also have some great books from Usborne about artists and different styles of art.

You will find many doodles throughout her Math and other worksheets… she even makes the letters people, or gives them hats, etc. It drives me crazy, but at the same time I love it, and encourage her to be creative. Karin
My kids are 6,5,3,1 and they absolutely love art. They spend the majority of their day pasting, drawing, cutting, creating, taping, and gluing. They make whatever has inspired them in their surroundings- a book, outside, a character, Sunday school. A few days ago my daughter wanted to make a special gift present for her daddy’s birthday. She said since his favorite thing is math, I am going to make him a math book. It has simple addition problems in it and pictures made out of math signs. She put a lot of time and thought into it. And her dad loved it. The thing with art in our house is that it is initiated completely by the kids.
Erin G.
My kids are 5, 3 and 1. My favorite art thing we do is an art corner where they’re free to create anytime. They can all access different types of paper, crayons and colored pencils. The older two have a higher shelf for things like glue, scissors, sequins and paints.
Tamara
My littles are 7, 4, and 1 and while they are super-creative in their play, we are not very good at creating art. Except birthday cards, and they are awesome!
Marcie
My children are 8, 7, 4, 2, and 0. I love to engage them with art by just doing art with them! We have a whole wall in our dining room displaying the guided projects that we have done together through the years . . . stippling, watercolors, sketches of chickens from memory, charcoal sketches of another family member. During “sit down school” the littlest one at the table is always drawing!
Lana
My kids are 7,5 and 3. I have art supplies in a storage cabinet where they can reach them. Our homeschool curriculum, Heart of Dakota does a great job giving ideas for art projects that go with what we’re studying.
Theresa
Mine are 5 and 3 (and 4 mos, but she just stares at celling fans!), and we like to go to our local art museum – each kids picks a room, we look at and discuss a few works of art, I pick a room and we do the same, and then we have a picnic lunch in the courtyard. This way they think it’s a treat, and don’t get bored or start acting up.

My little ones are 30 months and 10 months. We love to explore homemade finger paint,, crayons, and make crafts to go with our Bible stories. We love looking at pictures in books: my son loves Eric Carle books!

My kids are 8, 6, and 3 years old. We love to talk about the illustrations in the books we read. We also have studied some famous artists. I have a bookshelf in our dining room that has several art and craft books. I have baskets of supplies out for them to use whenever they feel creative, which seems to be all of the time! They are always drawing , making clay models or puppets and creating new things with which to play. Thank you for the giveaway!
Laura
My children are 5 and 3. We do lots of crafts using recycled materials. The children also love to paint, make crayon cookies and draw with colored pencils.
Jodi
My kids are 10, 8, 6, and 2. We read stories together and look at the pictures discussing what type of medium the illustrator used. Then we give it a whirl at home!

My kids are 4 and 7. They have free access to a box full of crafty stuff that they use however they choose. We do a little bit of studying the works of the great artists, and they have sketch books, pastels, paint that we use.

My kidlets are 9 7 5 3 and 8months. My eldest in particular loves art, we do painting and drawing and stamps, card making, but not much else. These kits look amazing! Great to see someone seeing a need and filling it with such lovely activities =)

My hair is a bit drier than it was when I was younger (im 45+). I also live in a very dry climate in western Colorado which also contributes to the dryness of my hair. I use the Shielo Restore Oil because its perfect for making my hair soft and moist again. I have short hair so I only use a small amount on my fingers and spread it through all of my hair. I can shower twice a day when necessary and if I use the Shielo Oil, my hair does not dry out. I like the result!
Sara
My boys are 6 and 1. My oldest loves to draw and I try and give him the resources for free creativity.

My boys are 7 an 2,5. Art is a difficult topic in our family. I am really into Art but my husband is not, which slightly rubbed off on the boys. While I try to engage them in drawing with pencils, crayons, water color, sidewalk chalk, crafting with different materials and show them how much their drawings and other art projects are appreciated by displaying them in various parts of our house, my husband tends to ignore their accomplishments. And do not get me started on visiting a museum or a gallery, which my husband does not like but instead of not taking part he tends to disturb the experience. So between a parent rather font of various arts and artists and one who is not so fond of arts, my boys try to find their own path and I hope to show them that trying new things is not as scary or difficult as my husband tends to believe.

My kids are 9 and 16. We try to get Art in whenever we have the supplies!
Jessica
I have a 5 and 7 year old and we love to check out videos especially Art For Kids Hub and others on Youtube. Plus, my girls just naturally create without any guidance. Give them the supplies and they think of great things all on their own.
Clara
8,6 ,3. They paint, study an artist every month and color
Lea
My kiddos are 8,7, & 5… They LOVE to be crafty, but mamma struggles with it. ~Tjis would be a great help! 🙂

We check out craft books from the library, but my girls, ages eight and nine, would love these kits!
N.S.
4 & 2 and we read with them. Do crafts together.

My children are 10, 9, and 7. We have an ‘open door policy’ with the art supplies cabinet so our kids can always create whenever they feel like it. We also try to expose them to all the different ways one can create art – using things found in nature, etc. These kits look fantastic!

14,13,10, and 7. They all like to draw- sometimes an organized activity, but often just on their own. For my younger ones I love the Laurence Anholt books that introduce famous artists and projects to go along with them.
Rachael
Mine are 7 & 8 and they have bins of art supplies which vary according to what we have. They also have full access to the recycling bin and piles of old magazines. I have also printed some how-to-draw sheets from “art projects for kids,” which is a great art blog by an elementary art teacher.

my children are older 16,14 and 11. Art has always been a strong subject in our Homeschool classroom, it has helped the children express many emotions. We have used any art curriculum we get our hands on and then add to it. I even created 12 lessons of art on my own and they loved art that year. This giveaway may help expand on what we already know and or teach us something we haven’t heard or seen in art yet. Thanks and looking forward to who wins. 🙂

I have an 8 year old, a 3 three year old, and a 1 year old. We have lots of crayons and paper to encourage their artistic side. Plus we do artist studies.
Leanne
These kits look like a hoot. My daughter is 8 years old and we have special dates for her and I where we create an art project. Last time we painted a wall hanging that she decided would show 2 seasons in one painting. With Grade 3 homework, we are struggling in our day to find more time for just creating but I hope to have a better schedule for us soon.

Following on Twitter! Thanks for the opportunity here.

My kiddos are 5 and 2. We enjoy doing art together in many different ways – painting is a favorite! They also love to go on nature walks and gather all sorts of things from outside and make their own collages with contact paper. Art is FUN!!
Becca P.
Following both on twitter as well!

My children are 21, 17, and 9. My daughter (17) is naturally creative and easy to engage in art activities. My youngest son is very resistant to all forms of art and more challenging! I am always looking for new ways to engage him and peek his interest.
Sara S.
My girls are 5 and 2. I don’t really have to engage them with art. They just naturally are drawn to it. Almost every moment is spent asking if they can draw, color, paint, etc!
Sara S.
I follow you both on Twitter!

My kids are 6, 5, 3 (triplets), 2 & 6 months. We do lots of coloring and drawing. I’d love to do some more involved projects with the older ones.
Sarah
My kids are 7, 5, 3 and 2. We engage in art by playing with homemade play dough, drawing and coloring with markers, beeswax crayons, pens and pencils on sheets of white paper, finger painting, going hog wild with chalk on our chalkboard wall and receiving a little guidance from crafting kits!
Ashley P.
My girls are 7 and 9 and to be honest they don’t like adult-driven art projects. They have a big box of random things they find like buttons, ribbon, toilet paper rolls, tissue paper, etc… and they like to get into it and make their own projects!
Ashley P.
Followed both!
Cristina
My kids are 4 1/2 and almost 6. We have a cabinet of art supplies, most of which are accessible to them at any time. Sometimes I will take out an assortment of items as an invitation to them to create whatever comes to mind.
Katrina
I have 6 kids, ages 15 down to (almost) 3.
Honestly, we don’t do a lot of art right now. We do study some of the artists from different time periods, but we don’t DO much art here. I know they would love it, especially my creative crafty ones.
Nicole Simpson
My children are 3 and 5. We homeschool and do at least one art project a week. I also make sure that have unlimited access to art supplies…pretty sure my 3 year old has scissors in her had 50% of her awake hours!
Rebecca
My kids are 2 And 6. The older one has access to most supplies and uses some with his creations. My younger asks to draw all the time (on our chalk wall or paper). We also try to do one more involved activity a week!
Alexis
My little girl is 5 and she will do ‘art’ all day long and she always has many types of supplies spread out around her to choose from but it does sometimes take some convincing for her to do ‘a craft’ which I think is valuable practice following directions.
Amanda Snow
My son is not quite 3, so our art days are filled with painting masterpieces on blank canvas, scribbling with crayons on card stock, and doing handprint pictures, but my nieces and nephews would LOVE these craft kits! They’d make great holiday gifts!
Brittany R
My kids are 4 and 2. We play with play doh, crayons, glue, scissors, papercrafts and water color paints on a daily basis. This kit would help expand my kids’ artistic adventures!!
Laura
My kids at home are 1, 5,6,7,&8. Their favorite play is crafting. I’m working on providing then with more quality materials, and saying yes to keeping “trash” that they turn into treasures.
Barb Pond
My children are 13 and 5. My 13 yr old loves art and so does the 5 year old. This would help them to keep using their creative side in all things.
Denise
My girls are 10 and 8. They attend classes at a local art museum, and I provide a wide variety of art supplies and books for them to use whenever they want.
Jessica Jones
My daughters love to do projects and also have free art time. I mostly do seasonal themed projects and projects based on out homeschool curricula (my fathers world and classical conversations). My 4 year old would do flips over these special art kits.
sarahlvenn
My kids are 5 and 3.5. Lately we’ve been making our own story books. My kids can spend hours doing that!
Tanya W
My kids are 14,9 and 6. My 9 and 6 year olds love art projects! I try to make sure we have good art supplies in the house and also engage them with seasonal art projects. Hands down their favourite work at the moment is book and comic creating.

Our son is 6. We collect art in our home, we discuss art we see throughout the city or in museums, we try to incorporate art into school lessons as often as possible, and art supplies are always available for an impromptu creativity session. 🙂

At 3 and 4 we engage in finger painting and drawing smiley faces

My kids are 8, 6, and 4 and I try to do art one day a week. I used to plan out our projects but I got busier and it got forgotten. The kids have been asking to have Art Tuesday reinstated so I’m trying to do that.
Christine
My daughter is 9. She has lots of materials available to her at all times and is very creative. She took and art class last year and we’re hoping to take another one this year.
Arlene Mullen
My first year of homeschooling my 5 year old and my 4 and 3 years old. We love art projects. All types of art and I let them lead on what they want to do.
Maha
My kids are 6, 3, and 5 months. I engage them with art mostly by just leaving the art supplies in their reach and giving them free time to do art as they like. I’m sure they would love more art!
Shawna Ketter
We have a 10 month old, 2, 3 and 5 year old! We love art and creating around our home. I have found that if I just keep supplies out all the time and let them create when and what they want it engages them. I have been introducing some master artists to our oldest and she has been having fun learning about them and creating works of art based off of their artwork.
Nikki
My boys are 3 and 6 years old. I leave most of their art supplies – that which aren’t too messy – organized and accessible to them which at our house includes: playdoh, washable crayons & markers, bits of yarn, color pencils, stamps & ink pads, stickers, scissors, drawing pads, coloring books, rulers, easels, recycled office and construction paper. My oldest is very creative and loves to draw so I try to make sure part of our lessons each day have something where he is getting to use art supplies so there’s the association of something he enjoys right there with his reading, math, science, and other subjects. I’m also working on acquiring some children’s non-fiction books about artists from different periods, places, etc. to widen their exposure to art and also planning field trips to local art exhibits this homeschool year. We also have artwork in our home not just by our boys, but also by close family members who are artistically inclined. Art is definitely a family affair at our house!
Jessica Archuleta
My children are ages, 17, 11, 9, 8, 6, 4, 3, 20 months. They each love art and draw all the time and paint when I allow it! We have art books that we study and the girls are trying to learn to sew. The kits look great – thanks for the chance to win!

My children are 3 and 5. We love doing art projects, but do not follow one single program. I use ideas from blogs, Pinterest, and certain websites that I like. I try to tie our art and craft to topics we are reading or studying about, which happens most of the time, but not always. The main rules are: to be fun, and to be mostly doable for the kids (not mommy do the project and they watch, because it is too involved).

My son is turning five and I get lots of ideas from the internet. The latest project he did with his uncle is a DIY Hot Wheels race track made from old computer boxes. Of course, my son did the painting. As long as it resonates with his interests, that’s the kind of art we’ll do.
