Welcome to this weekend’s giveaway–hosted by Great Homeschool Conventions!
Great Homeschool Conventions will hold its 2014 regional conventions in South Carolina (March), Ohio (April), and California (June). Each convention features a huge (and I mean huge!) Homeschool Curriculum exhibit hall.
This year’s featured speakers include Dr. Benjamin Carson, Heidi St. John, Dr. Thomas Woods, Dr. Kathy Koch, Gianna Jessen, Dr. Jay Wile, Cathy Duffy, Jim Weiss, Steve Demme, and many more.
When I attended and spoke at last year’s convention in Ohio, I was truly impressed with the professionalism and organization that had gone into the event. The number of sessions to choose from meant something for everyone no matter your needs.
Attendees get to choose from hundreds of encouraging, equipping, information-packed workshops…selecting those that are most applicable to YOUR homeschooling efforts. There is also an optional children’s program and a special track for teens–real faith for the real world.
You can sign up here to receive GHC’s email newsletter with updates and announcements and to be notified of early bird discounts.
Two Simple Homeschool readers will receive a family registration to the conference location of your choice!
Choose from:
* Greenville, South Carolina (March 20-22, 2014)
* Cincinnati, Ohio (April 24-26, 2014)
* Ontario, California (June 12-14, 2014)
* Texas (in planning for 2015)

Slow and steady :: On learning at your own pace
I also “liked” Simple Homeschool and Great Homeschool Conventions on facebook!
Our daughter is 8. We’d love to go to the convention since we’ve never attended one before. I’d like to look at the different curriculum offerings so that we can make an educated decision for next year. By April, we’ll probably also need the encouragement to keep going. 🙂

My kids are 2yo and 5mo, and we would like to attend because we are overwhelmed with the idea of homeschool, and we would like to learn as much as we can before it is time to make the decision.

I have two sweet girls ages 2 and 4. We have begun our homeschooling journey and want to educate ourselves on different methods and gain insight and support from the homeschool community at large.
My kids are 7,5,4, and 2. I would love to go because encouraging speakers keep me motivated to continue on in homeschooling.
My kids are going to be 6, 3 and under a year. I’ve never been to a homeschool conference and would love to hear the speakers, plus having a reason (and a paid reason, at that) to travel would be fabulous!

My kids are ages 6, 5, 5 and 3. I would like to attend this homeschool convention…because I have never attended one before. I am a fulltime missionary in the Philippines. I have spent over 4 years here without returning to the USA. I’ll be returning to the USA in December for 1 year. I started my homeschooling experience completely on my own without any help and without any conventions to glean information from. It is a dream of mine to attend a homeschool convention while I am in the USA to learn as much as I can before I return to the Philippines.
My kids are 6, 4 and 1. This is my first year of homeschooling, using the Charlotte Mason method. Would love to get encouragement and ideas from this convention, especially as I navigate through my recent separation and become a single mom.
I “liked” both FB pages!
I’ve like your Facebook page…and I’d like to attend the conference because this is my first year homeschooling my 8 year old daughter (3rd grader).
My boys are 9, 7, 5, and 1. It’s been a fun year. I would like to attend the convention in SC because we are in our 4th year homeschooling and I still can’t get things together. I feel like a new homeschooler always.
Thank you for having this great opportunity,
Michelle
My twins are 8yo. I’d really like to attend one of these bigger conferences b/c the ones near us are don’t pull such fabulous speakers in the numbers these do! (Plus, I can go visit one of my best friends too!)
My kids are 5 and 7. I would love to go to the convention mainly because I’ve never been to one. I would love the opportunity to see all the curriculum options that are out there.
My girls are 4 and 2. I went to the Ohio conference with a friend when my oldest was 2 and it was awesome but I’d like to go again now that we are actually starting to do school.
my children are 10, 7, and 2 – three year olds all special needs and adopted. I am homeschooling them all and would love to attend to learn more and see what all is out there.
My kids are 6 year old boy and 4 year old boy/girl twins. I went to my first conference this past summer and was so encouraged. I would love to go to another one and continue learning about being a homeschool mom.
Two kids 7 & 10 and would love to see the speakers especially Dr Carson 😉
My kids are 6, 2 and 4 months. This is our first year homeschooling and getting any type of information and encouragement sounds wonderful.
