This giveaway has ended; thanks for your interest!
I have a love-love relationship with my Kindle. I wasn’t sure about non-paper reading a couple of years ago when I ordered it initially, but since then I’ve become a total convert.
Not that I’ve turned my back on paper books altogether, mind you. But I love that I can take my Kindle when I go work at the library or a coffee shop and have more than 100 books right in my bag, all as light as a single paperback!
Kindles have become one of my favorite gifts as well–I gave one to my daughter Trishna for Christmas a while ago and I recently gave one to Steve just because.
And this week, I want to give away a Kindle Fire HD7 to one of you!
What’s the occasion
As I mentioned in Monday’s post, this week is the 4th annual iHomeschool network ebook bundle sale.
It’s a collection of over $750 worth of homeschooling resources available through Sunday, August 9th for only $25!
Over 70 ebooks are included in the bundle, and these colorful resources will be uber-easy to download and read on a lovely new Kindle, allowing you to take your homeschooling inspiration on-the-go wherever you go: while watching the children at the park, for a Mom’s sanity evening out, or to the library while the kids browse the shelves.
Note: The Omnibus itself is NOT included in this giveaway, so keep that in mind if you’re hoping to purchase it before the sale ends on Sunday!
How to win
Note: This giveaway has ended; thanks for your interest!
Step 1. This giveaway is open to subscribers of this blog, Simple Homeschool, who live in the U.S. So sorry, international readers!
If you aren’t a subscriber, not a problem! Sign up here (it’s FREE!), then make sure you confirm your subscription via email to make it active.
Step 2. After you’ve become a subscriber, head here to read about this year’s Homeschool Omnibus.
Look for the title of at least one resource you think might make your parenting/homeschool life easier in the months ahead.
Step 3. Then leave a comment on this post, answering this question: “How old are your children, and which resource from this year’s Omnibus do you think might be a help to you right now?”
Note: This giveaway has ended; thanks for your interest!
(If you’re reading this via email or reader, you must click here to leave your comment on this post at Simple Homeschool. Comments or emails left elsewhere don’t count as entries.)
By following the instructions above, anyone can receive one entry to win!
Here are two more ways to increase your chances of winning:
1. Readers who purchase the Homeschool Omnibus through my links receive TWO extra entries!
After purchasing the bundle, just forward your receipt to bonus(at)infusedcomms(dot)com
Leave an initial comment on this post following the instructions above, then an additional comment that says “I bought the omnibus!” (That means you’ll get a total of 3 entries!)
2. For one extra entry, share this giveaway with your friends on Facebook. Then leave another comment telling me you did so.
If you do all of the above you can receive a maximum of FOUR entries. I’m going to have so much fun emailing someone on Monday to let them know they’ve won!
This giveaway has ended and the winner is Danielle, who wrote: “My children are 14, 10 and 8. Good grief, it’s hard to choose just one resource but if you pinned my arm behind my back and made me choose – it would have to be Beautifully Broken: Finding Joy in the Pain. Oh, I can’t wait to read A Gentle Answer! I have a 5, 3, 2, 1 year old with #5 on the way. I chose the word gentleness to focus on this year as we begin our homeschooling journey. It’s so easy to get flustered with little ones. The demands are on-going, but when I approach them with gentleness the atmosphere of our home is so peaceful. So I’m working on making it my top response in our home.

I have two sons who are 9 and 8. I just listened to, “Unschooling for Highschool.”
Thank you!
Stephanie
Aloha!
My two boys are ages six and four. Our family would be grateful to receive any of the omnibus resources to add to our library of educational tools. Thank you for your consideration. Have a beautiful day!
DeeAnn
My kids are 10 and 13 and my daughter has been wanting to learn sign language, so the ASL course will be super helpful!
DeeAnn
I bought the omnibus!
Becky
I actually didn’t see anything that would be helpful at this time! I own the things that looked interesting and I have a lot of planners already and only one first grader so no need for the older stuff yet. It seemed there was a lot of it. Maybe next year!
Jen Sharum
My kids are 6 and 2. The Comics for Kids would be perfect right now for my 6 yr old!
I also shared this on Facebook. : )
Jessica B.
My kids are 9, 7, 4, and 10 months. I love the looks of the of the 100+ Notebooking Page Templates.

My children are 10, 8, 6, 5, 3, & 1 and I’d like to go through most all of the homeschooling high school/teens offerings as we are quickly headed that way. Thanks for the opportunity to win a Kindle Fire! 🙂
Lindsey G.
My children are 8 months, 2 yrs, 4 yrs, and almost 7 yrs. There are so many options, it was hard to pick just one that looks the most interesting! I think Your Retreat: A Guide to Giving Yourself a Personal Planning Day and A Gentle Answer take the cake. Thanks for a chance to win!
Jocelyn
My children are 9, 6, 2 and 1. There are so many great resources there! The preschool alphabet, the plan to be flexible, and the ASL course jump out at me!
Jocelyn’s latest post: Celebrating my Grandma!
Jessica Inglis
My children are 11, 4, and 10 months old. I think the most useful resources, at this time, for me, are the Preschool Alphabet Packet and the A to Z Toddler and Preschool Curriculum because even though it should be easy to teach a preschooler I don’t seem to have the time to pull together the resources needed, with a very active baby. My 11 yr old could also use a Kindle for homeschool purposes, as well as her love of reading! ☺
Elissa
I plan on using the 101 independent activities for kids. My kids at home are 9 mons, 4, 6, 9 years.

My kids are 15 and 13. The 13 year old has Fragile X Syndrome which causes him to have intellectual disabilities and autism. The 15 year old has ADHD. I am interested in the resources about homeschooling through high school, teaching life skills to kids with disabilities and managing intense kids.
Deanna
My children are 10, 8 & 4. The titles that would most benefit us right now are Overcoming the Mommy Anger and Plan to Be Flexible. I probably don’t need to explain why those titles would help me. Pretty self explanatory there. Ha!
Esther
My kids are 8, 6 and 9 months. While there are so many wonderful titles, the one that really caught my eye was How to Guide the Gift in Your Child. It just seems like what I need right now with the older 2 kids–especially the 6 year old boy as he is still finding his way.
Julia M.
My kids are 3 and 1. I’m most interested in the A to Z toddler and preschool curriculum and Easy Peasy Chores!
Victoria Herring
My kids are almost 5 and 1. I can’t pick what my favorite is. I love planners, but at the same time I want to teach my kids ASL so the ASL Done Right would be awesome for us.

Geography Curriculum, Easy Peasy Chores, and Your Retreat: A Guide to Giving Yourself a Personal Planning Day. 🙂
Anne Marie G
So many terrific titles to choose from! I homeschool my 11 year old daughter, and she’s expressed interest in learning American Sign Language, so I know she’ll be excited that I’ll be downloading a resource for that in the bundle. But for me? I’m looking forward to hearing the MP3 “Homeschool Transitions from Elementary to Middle to High School.” Thanks for the contest entry!

Our girls are 7 and 2 … There are so many good titles, but Plan Your Best Homeschool Year sticks out as well as the other Planners, etc. I find planning fun and a bit stressful at the same time! The preschool books and printables look great too, looking ahead for my two year old 😉

My kids are 10, 8, 5 and 2. The resource that I am seeing in the Omnibus (among many) that I think would be great is the Weekly Planner with meal planning because everyone is always hungry at our house!
kazimiera
I have a 13 year old boy, and 8 year old girl and a unexpected 3 month old. this is just our second year of homeschooling so the homeschool omnibus will be a tremendous resource for us. my first pick will be Plan to Be Flexible: Designing a Homeschool Rhythm and curriculum.
Katie
My children are 10,7 and 3. “Creating a Schedule That Works” would be a great resource for making the most of our homeschool day!! Great selections on Omnibus!
Megan
I think in this season of life the ‘Hope for the Heart of the Homeschool Mom: Encouragement for the Days When Sanity is Limited’ would be the most helpful. I have three children, six, four and a one year old. Sanity seems a stretch most days. 😉
Liz
Hi! I have a son who will be 2 in August and an almost 4 month old daughter. We are in the process of deciding if homeschooling is right for us, so the omnibus will be a huge beneficial resource for us. My husband is supportive of it, but hesitant because the plan was for me to start work outside the home when the kids start kindergarten. This would put a financial strain on us and make it more difficult to save money to buy land. I’ve been praying and hope God will guide us. So, naturally I’m excited to read Discover the Joy of Letting God lead your home, A to Z Toddler and Preschool Cirriculum, Homeschool 101, Homeschooling 101, and Homeschool Planner. So many good ones! It’s hard to pick just one.
Jessica
My kids are 6, 4 and 2 and I would most like to read about how personality types affect learning behavior and how to teach. Thanks!

My boys are 7, 2 1/2 and 8 months. I’m homeschooling my oldest and he will be starting 2nd grade next month. My toddler is mostly nonverbal so I think the most useful thing for me would be * American Sign Language Done Right Volume One! I would love to learn this to help him communicate better. We’ve so far only attempted very basic signs. I would also like * From Frazzled to Focused: 7 Planning Tools for Busy Moms.
Katie L
There is a ton to choose from! I’m starting preschool with my daughter, so I know A to Z Toddler and Preschool Curriculum, Basic Shapes for Beginners, Encompass Preschool Curriculum, and others like that will help there. For my son I think American Sign Language Done Right Volume One, Bringing Computer Science to Your Classroom, and Sharks Chalk Pastel Art for All Ages are just a tiny bit of the ones that I could use for him. Seriously, that is a HUGE list!
Corinne D
My homeschooler is 5 and has mastered most of our kindergarten material from our casual playing and games so now we’re ready for structure. I think starting with“Creating a Schedule That Works” is my best bet along with how to teach different personality types.

What a huge blessing this would be for our family. My kids are 15 and 12 and we’ve been struggling with burnout and do not own a tablet or kindle. I think it could reignite the joy in our homeschooling. I especially liked the offering in the omnibus package called, “Hope for the Heart of the Homeschool Mom: Encouragement for the Days When Sanity is Limited” -although it was hard to choose one because there’s so many involving getting through high school and preparing for college. These things have me pretty terrified and frozen with fear. Crossing my fingers!

We have two boys, ages six and eight. This will be our first year of taking the plunge! We’re excited! I think there are multiple titles I’d enjoy, but at the moment, my preferences move toward 5 Steps to Make Your Kids Confident, Competent Writers, and any of the titles on Geography and Mom balance. Thanks for organizing all of these resources in one place!

From Frazzled to Focused, Planning Language Arts and the high school resources would be most helpful. I am also intrigued by the financial planning and stewardship items.

I just bought the Omnibus set and I’m most excited about Advanced Placement or Dual Enrollment, College Admissions for the Homeschooler, College Alternatives for Homeschool Graduates, College Prep – Is Writing on Track – are you sensing a theme? 🙂 I’m also excited about the Blog Planner as I’m in the beginning stages of starting a blog.

I have two children, ages 4 and 6. I’d be interested in the Unschooling Happiness Project and the Unworkbooks first. Next on my list would be the Getting Started in Chalk Pastel Art and the Sharks Chalk Pastel Art for All Ages, as well as the Discover Europe! Geography Curriculum (not sure what ages/grades that one is geared to). Thanks!

Hey there, My children are 1, 3, 5, and 15 and I just couldn’t pick one resource. So many caught my eye, different ones for each child. Even ones for myself. Chandra Regan
We’re in a rather unique situation. My daughter is actually 20 years old and just graduated from high school. However, she has many delays, as she was raised in an orphanage in Thailand and just became part of our family six and a half years ago as a teenager. We started homeschooling in high school, because there were so many gaps to fill in and she literally hated public school and BEGGED me to home school her. She actually got accepted to a community college this year, (where she is planning to start in about two week)s, after having to retake their entrance exam, due to the difficult writing portion. Not too bad for only having known English for six and a half years! But, I would love the resource from the Omnibus called “College Prep: Is Writing on Track?” among several others. However, I’ve never had any kind of e-reader device. So, if I win this one, I’ll be overjoyed!

The very first book I will read of this incredible library is “Trust without Borders.” This will be my first year homeschooling with Olivia (8), James (6), George (3) and David (18mos). Both the call to homeschool my children and my own resistance to do it (despite my belief that it’s the best), have been woven through this past year. The leap into homeschool is one “border” that is scary for me to cross. The struggle to trust is always new and changing, but God has never failed to provide the net. I see this Omnibus offer as another signpost to leap 🙂
