Read at least one book that takes place in Latin America. Chapter 11 of Give Your Child the World has plenty of ideas for you to choose from!
Along with your books, here are some video clips to watch and learn from:

In each post I’ve been providing links to a few recipes so you can take your global explorations into the kitchen. With these choices you can get a little spicy, and then fry up some “bakes” for dessert (or brunch!).

There are so many awesome things to learn about in South America! We absolutely love reading about the Nazca lines, the Aztecs, the Mayans, and the Amazon rainforest. It’s such an amazing continent.

Hi Jamie! Having a blast over here with Latin America week already! We just watched the videos, and one of our goals for this week is to learn the months of the year song so we can sing it for Daddy! We’d already decided on Spanish as a language to study together as a family, so when I saw in Chapter 11 you wrote about an app that teaches foreign languages for free (!) I got really excited. Would you mind sharing what that app is? I’d be so grateful!

Yes, it’s Duolingo, Amy. The publisher just didn’t want me to mention details in case it doesn’t exist at some point in the future! LOL
Amy
Gotcha, that makes sense! 🙂 Thank you so much!

OK – I LOVE View Pure – and love that you are using it on these blog posts!!!!
but I do have a question – how do you get the video to show up in the post the way it does for a regular youtube video? Mine is just showing up as links. I’d love to share this and avoid all the junk on my site too! Thanks 🙂
