They are designed to give parents the tools to teach higher-level scientific concepts to all styles of learners. Whether you have a kinesthetic learner or a visual one, your child can master everything from molecules and DNA to ecosystems and the carbon cycle.”
“As moms ourselves, we specifically designed the courses so they can be done easily at home or on a trip with minimal supplies—most materials can be cut directly from the course print out. We believe science can be done anywhere!
Each mini-course focuses on a different scientific concept, whether it be how airplanes fly or how dolphins echolocate.
Every mini-course is designed to appeal to all kinds of learners and a wide range of ages (grades K-5), and includes a beautifully illustrated story, a board or card game, a movement-based activity, a craft or modeling activity, and an experiment or outdoor exploration activity.

I have a 7 and 9 year old (and 3 and 1) who just asked for a unit on chemistry, so the molecules unit would be a hit!
My kids will be 8,6,4 and baby next year. They would really love the butterfly and magnet study. We were looking about doing some of these studies next year so it would be great timing!

My kids are 7, 5, 3 (and under). The 7 year old would be into Ocean Friends, and the 5 year old would be all about Airplane Science. We bought and used Vertebrates in the past and really enjoyed all the activities.
My kids are 7, 5, and 2 and they would LOVE butterfly’s evening adventure. We have been reading a great book about butterflies and we are all very interested in them right now.

We are blessed with an 11 year old, a 9 year old and a 1 year old. The eldest would enjoy the butterfly course, and my 9 year old would choose airplane science. The baby would find any and all delicious.

I’m a mom of 6, so this sounds great for my littles…the younger generation. They are all boys ages 11, 9 and 6. They would love Mighty Magnets and Plate Tectonics.
My kids are 7, 6, 4, and 2. I immediately thought of my oldest with the shark unit, because he’s obsessed with them. But all of my kids like animals, so there are several there that they’d like.
My 4 are 9, 7, 4, and 9 months. The oldest would love plate tectonics, my 7 year old would love sharks, and my 4 (almost 5) year old would live butterflies!

My Daughters are 7 and 10. We are just about to start our home school journey. Our first theme we are looking at is nature as we develop to garden in our new house. A Butterflies evening adventure would be perfect. Following this we plan to look at the volcanoes and the moving tectonic plates as we live 10km from an extinct volcano which just fascinates both girls. The Plate Tectonics: The Changing Continents course would fit perfectly with this.

Dream list for ages! I’ve wanted the moon book – why have we even tried Montessori cards and Oreos – yep I ate the first bag every time – and my kids still don’t know the phases! Honestly – me either. The reviews for BNC’s are great. One mom said her kids actually created concrete understanding about the phases. Oh… DNA… magnets… vertebrate… and the desert … no not dessert … biome. Thanks and thanks for the gift of your book book lol.

Gosh that’s a hard choice. I have 9, 8, 6, 3, and 2 year old boys (and about to adopt a 10 and another 8 year old–boy and girl). I think it would be a tie between “A Butterfly’s Evening Adventure” (we catch caterpillars every year and watch them turn into Monarchs) and “Discovering DNA” (my husband is finishing up his Bachelor’s degree in hopes of attending Physician Assistant school, and the boys are FASCINATED by his Anatomy classes.) They all sound so interesting!
So many great choices and this is one subject that I struggle to teach my little ones and make it exciting. Next year they’ll be in kindergarten and 2nd. Would probably be most interested in Plate Tectonics since we are doing world history/geography next year.

My kids are 14, 11 and 6. We were preparing for a trip to Alaska, and we learned there is an earthquake about once a day there. This sparked an investigation on plate tectonics…this would be of interest to them right now.

Oh my goodness! So many choices! In the fall I will have 2 first graders and a seventh grader still at home. I’ve had my eye on these units! We hope to work through all of them, but my boys would be especially excited about Plate Tectonics, Airplanes, and The Moon.
I have been curious about these courses for years. I think my daughter would like the vertebrate course because we are in the middle of a vertebrate unit right now.
My 3.75 year old wants to be an astronaut and would love the Moon unit. My 7 year old is learning about vertebrates right now and would enjoy that unit to make connections to what we are already doing.
My kids are 8, 6, and 2. They would love all of these, but Airplane Science would definitely be a big hit.

Our kids are 7, 5, 4 & 2. We’ve been homeschooling overseas and so look for any opportunities to learn where almost everything is included right in the kit (as many materials are hard to find here). I think our kids would love all of the courses. If they had to choose one it would be Take Off with Airplane Science as our kids have all flown more times than I can count, they would love to see how it works!

We read a book about them about a month ago at a friend’s place and he has been interested in them ever since.
