I have a newborn, 11 and 12 year old. We are using OM Grade 5 for the first time this year. My children have been engaged, interested and excited about learning. I love how flexible and organic the curriculum is. Due to my pregnancy this year, my children had to become fairly independent learners (with some guidance from me). Oh, this is so wonderful! My children are 5, 4, 3, 1, and 3 months old. I love the gentle academic approach in the younger grades and the well-rounded subjects all laid out, using creativity and art to learn.
My kids are 14 and 12. Oak Meadow interests me because my 12 year old could benefit from the critical thinking and problem solving utilized with the program.
I will have a kindergartener this coming fall! I have already been checking out this curriculum! I love that it is nature based!

My 2 boys are 9 and 13. A good friend of mine used oak meadow school for her 3 children 20+ years ago now. She highly recommended it. She passed away 4 years ago from leukemia and every time I see oak meadow I think of her. It seems very organic and I like that!

Lately it seems like it’s just a push to finish the tasks and I want it to be fun and inspiring. My kids are 5 and 2 and I love how oak meadow curricula are versatile in that I can have my child do crafts and also teach about a healthy lifestyle. So my child gets her share of fun things to do while we are together growing as humans and how to manage “life.”

My little ones are 4.5 and nearly 5. Their daddy has a natural resource management degree and they both LOVE everything about the great outdoors here in the Pacific Northwest. We would LOVE to have a curriculum based in the outdoors. What a perfect fit for our family! My son is 5. My son was diagnosed with cancer and he loves being outside and nature. Unfortunately, he has been limited to the time he can be outside, due to his illness. Your curriculum seems encompassing and complete.
I am homeschooling two boys, one preschool and one 1st grade. OM has consistently topped my list of “want to try” curriculums for two years. I think it would be especially beneficial for my pre-k guy who is already very nature focused.

My homeschoolers are 12, 9, and 7. This program looks so creative and light hearted.
My girls are both 4. This program is exciting and encouraging to me. It follows an academic program but most importantly, it supports the whole child, provides flexibility in learning, encouragement of nature and the arts and a supportive, caring environment for the parent/teacher, as well as the child.
I appreciate the options provided and thorough, but not overwhelming content. The gentle (or robust) curriculum can be tailored to children’s particular interests/needs!

I recently read an article that said children are generally outdoors roughly thirty minutes a day whereas prison inmates are given two hours a day of outdoor/recreational time. I strongly believe a multi-sensory, nature-based curriculum would be a more inspiring and motivational approach for my very active children.

My daughter is almost 7 and my son is 5. My son is currently in a Montessori program for one more year after this school year. This is the first year homeschooling for my daughter. She previously attended the Montessori school through Kindergarten and we still haven’t really clicked with any of the homeschooling curriculum we’ve tried so far. I came across Oak Meadow and am ready to try this gentle, yet engaging approach. My daughter loves to read and loves nature, arts and crafts. It seems like a wonderful fit!

My four children are 10 to 22, and we have always homeschooled. The three oldest are in college and I would love to use Oak Meadow for the youngest. She loves to be outside and loves hands on activities.
My 3 year old loves to explore nature. When we go for walks, she takes the time to look and explore the nature around her. I believe Oak Meadow would be very beneficial in bringing out her interest in nature even further.

As full time guardians to three grandchildren (12, 10 and 9), having already seen our three children through from birth to college school free, I am worried that I am getting jaded with our home planned lessons. Here in the UK there is little choice of home curriculum to purchase and a lot of what I have looked at worldwide is very bible based and a little strict.
Oak Meadow seems pleasantly secular, easy going and child friendly, the ideal fit for us.
Noah is seven and Milly is almost five. We have been home schooling using a different Waldorf curriculum, and I am looking for something similar for next year but with a bit more content. I have been researching OM and would LOVE to win this! Either way, we are going to be OM converts next year 😉 Thanks for the chance!

I have three little boys who would fully enjoy and thrive with Oak Meadow.
My kids are 11, 7, and 1. I love the nature-based learning that this curriculum provides. Another thing that stands out to me is the encouragement of self-reflection, which seems to be done throughout all grade levels; I love that this is something they obviously value.
My babes are 3 and 1 and this is the first homeschooling curriculum I’ve found that I felt would fit seamlessly into our family. I feel like we’re already doing it, just without the structure the curriculum would provide.

My kiddos are 7 & 10 and I want them to experience the world not just hear about it. Being out in nature and having hands-on experience is more fun and will build great memories as well as knowledge.
I have a 12 year old and a 9 year old. We used Oak Meadow when my daughter was in 5th grade and we loved it! I got a great score on a used set that year but didn’t use it this past year and missed the gentle approach. I love that the curriculum is all intertwined and easily split up into weekly lessons!

I have a six year old who is a strong minded, always thinking & problem solving adult in a child’s body! Ha! This way of educating is respectful to the child’s ability to learn in their own individual way, building confidence & trust in ones own capabilities. This is exactly what we need for him. I also can appreciate the guidance & help offered to the Home Teachers. We have been doing private school for last 2 years & have decided to finally Home School. So excited for us to start!

They are currently in 4th and 3rd grade, and although my 5 year old will be kindergarten age this fall, he already is reading at a 2nd grade level, so he kind of skipped that. My kids are 8 and almost 6. One of the things I love about Oak Meadow is how integrated all the subjects are to each other, and how there’s a lot of attention paid to the subjects that don’t fall into the “three R” categories. Thank you for this opportunity!

I forgot to put my kid’s ages! lol I have 9 aged 21-1, but homeschooling a 17, 12, 9, 7, and a 5 year old this year.

My girls are 4 and 1 so we will be starting more formal homeschooling in the next couple years. Like many have already said, Oak Meadow seems like an extension of our home life, really keeping the HOME in HOMEschool.
My boys are 5 and 7. We loved the first grade curriculum especially the gnome math stories.
My kids are 8 and 2. We love a lot about Oakland Meadows. My daughter loves opening circle and lighting the candle. I love that she enjoys learning with this program.

Hi, my kids are aged 12, 8 and 5 years. The Oak Meadow curriculum has intrigued me for some time now but finances have prevented me from biting the bullet, so to speak. I like the hands on, experiential approach to learning that Oak Meadow offers as well as the arts (music, painting, drawing and so on) being intertwined in the learning. With two very outdoor inclined children (younger two) the hands on projects and nature based learning are appealing. It is also nice to know that help is at hand with Oak Meadow teachers available to contact. Thanks.

I heard of your program thru a friend and it really appeals to me! My daughter is almost 5 and is always outside, true nature child. The fact that it is nature based is perfect for us 🙂

My kids are 11 & 8… We’ve been seriously considering homeschooling our children and Oak Meadows hands-on, nature driven approach is extremely appealing to us!
My kids are 9 and 7 1/2. What I love about Oak Meadow is that it’s Waldorf-inspired but not Waldorf, nature-based, and allows our family so much freedom.
I like that it’s waldorf inspired. My kids are 6, 3, and 1.
My boys are 3 and 8 years old, and the older one is going to be home-schooling from this year onwards, having attended a Waldorf school up to now. I appreciate the Oak Meadow curriculum for having many Waldorf elements while also meeting the needs of the individual child.

My children and 3 and 6. We used OM first grade all year and love it.
My children are 9, 7, 5, and 4. Fighting between the kids is one of the biggest problems in our day! When we are outside, it rarely happens! I would love a curriculum that helps me get out more and fosters a love for nature and each other.
