Motherhood lessons learned from Lorelai Gilmore
I have heard such great things about these maps. My children are 6,4,2. I love learning out on nature. My children are small but I am always amazed at how excited they are when they see a bird we haven’5 identified or they find more acorns. It keeps the wonder in all of us.
My kids are 9, 7 and 2. I have never heard of these maps before, but they look wonderful! We love learning about Europe together. We have been going country by country and learning about the people and cultures of that country. It has been so much fun!
I would love to purchase these maps for my family because I know we would get so much use out of them- but I can’t afford them right now. Raising kids aged: 16, 14, 12, 10, 9, 8, 6, 5, 3, 2 and 6 months. We are using Give Your Child the World in our geography/culture studies, and these maps would be the perfect addition as we study each continent!

WOW! I have one son, that is 6 years old. I am still trying to figure out how I am going to do Geography with him. I have been showing him maps of where we are and where we are going when we travel. Also just around the metro when we do errands. Pin it!Maps looks super fun.
My kiddos are 13 and 10 and since they are both adopted from Korea, we love learning about the country, the language and the people. Geography and social studies is a big priority in our international, homeschooling family. I’ve poured over the Pin It Maps website recently and I so longed to get some for our school. Good morning! We are blessed with 4 children: 15, 12, 11, and 9 years old. We are learning geography as well as Bible, etc, together. We have an old globe that we use, as well as printed out maps. WE are using maps more to help us. It looks like a wonderful way to learn about maps.
We have a 6, 5, and 1 yr old. The older kids love learning about Europe (Italy mostly) and our own country also, as we embark on road trips and hiking trips.

Our children are 6,4,3 and 19 months old. We love learning about the world around us. We have one pin it map already, but would be blessed to have more in our homeschool. We love learning about the small cities in Africa right now as we have missionaries we know there. Also, we love this map during our prayer time to pray over different country’s people. It is a great visual for our children!

My kids are 4,6,8, and 10. We really love to learn about Africa since I grew up there as a missionary kid.
My kids are 10 and 12. We are pretty indiscriminate about about what places we like to learn about. They seem to love learning about whatever area is relevant to the book we are reading at the time. A map is always close at hand (and usually on our dining room table under a vinyl tablecloth) so we can look up places and trace travels.
My kids are 5, 9 & 11. We are working on Asia right now.
Mine is eleven and we love studying world history. Right now, we are learning the geography of South America.
Love this! My kids are 15, 11, and 8. The 11 year old has special needs and is a very tactile/visual learner, so this would be perfect for him especially! We love to learn about the old American west, Australia, the Holy Lands, and one child in particular is absolutely obsessed with Finland. 🙂

My kids are 10 & 7 with a baby due soon. We love learning about people groups and places that are remote because their way of life tends to be so different than ours.
Ours are 15, 13, 10, 8, 3. We usually learn about the places where dad is leading study abroad trips. Spain, Peru and Costa Rica so far. But anywhere that comes up in our reading is fair game!
Mine are 12 & 11. Our favorite is to learn about places where we travel or visit. Love seeing places we’ve read about or reading about places we’ve been.
My sons are almost 16, 10, and 10 and my kids love learning about the oceans and the African Plains, but pretty much any place with a large animal population.
My children are 9 and 11. We enjoy history and geography and have loved learning about different places and cultures – some of our favorites are Japan, China, South America and Europe.
Our children are 5 and 7 and we love geography here! Our boys are from Asia (China), so we love learning more about this continent, but this year we are delving into Europe. Bless you for all that you do to bring these rich resources and ideas to our inboxes.
One of the most important things to me in our homeschool journey is that the world would seem small. I desire that the whole Earth would feel like home. Geography creates nearness and familiarity with those who can seem so far and so different to us. My prayer is that my kids would be globe circlers (if that’s a word at a!!), that the people of earth would be all equally valued and the places equally, loved, known and respected. So our favorite places? The whole thing! My daughter is 12 and my son is nearly 4.
My son is 7. We really enjoy learning about Egypt, Ireland and Scotland. We also enjoy our local area of New England. It is fine to find where everyone we know lives on the map. We always love learning more about Europe as their dad is 1/2 German and lived in Germany for over 30 years and we have been to Germany and Spain. Currently we are trying to keep all the countries of Africa memorized (not so easy for Mom at her age!). Love the idea of these maps are we all big geography buffs but need/want to learn more!

Our children are five, three, and one and a half. China is my son’s (the five year old) absolute favorite place to learn about right now. He is super into animals and all of his favorites live in China, which is the perfect open door to talking about anything else China related. I’m the homeschool mom of two, a 7th grader and a 6th grader. We’ve been discussing the U.K. recently and it’s such a rich history. We are now a month in on a subject that I thought would take us no more than a week. That’s whats so great about homeschooling and geography!
Hi! My kids are 7, 5, and 1. We move often and travel a lot, so they especially love finding on maps and hearing about the places they were born and places they traveled when they were little.
Jamie, thank you for this generous giveaway. The maps from Pin it! Look fantastic. My son Who is 7 loves geography and we try to get our hands on as many maps as possible. We love our globe and our large atlas, but a set of these maps would be terrific in our homeschool. We are currently studying Europe and enjoying the geography and history components as well. We’ve also been studying American history this fall and focusing on the founding fathers, the states and capitals along with patriotic songs since it’s an election year.
Our children are 25,17,8, and 6. We all continue learning new things about our world daily. There is something special in every place. We want to know about the beautiful and different world we live in.

We did your read around the world challenge this summer, and it was so fun, but the places that have been coming up again and again are the ones where have a connection there: Lesotho in Southern Africa, because we have a sponsor child who lives there and Brazil and Japan because we had people stay with us from those countries.
We’ve been listening as a family to the Mrs. Pollifax series (a tradition in our family) and have “been” to Albania, Turkey, Switzerland, Bulgaria, China, and Thailand over the last few months. Currently 11 (“almost 12”), 9, 7, and 5.

My kids are 25, 22, 17, 9 & 5. These maps are totally new to me. Wish I would have known about them sooner! We started read around the world in co-op this year and the youngers have been having an awesome time learning about other countries and cultures. Right now at home we’re focusing on the USA, with the election year the history has really been brought to life seeing then vs now, and what was intended to be. These maps would go so well with our studies 🙂

Homeschooling girls 12 & 10 🙂 It’s sometimes hard to find things that interest both kids and we’re able to do together. History and geography are both things we all love. There really isn’t a specific place that’s our favorite but if we picked just one, it’d be the good ole US of A!

Hello! My children are 9, 8, 6, 4, 3, and 16 months and we love Geography! We are using Give Your Child The World for our studies, but I am missing a good map study tool. These Pin it Map would be awesome!
I have one daughter who is 7 and another daughter 20, who is in college 4 states away from us. So one of our favorite places to learn about together is the state where our sister/daughter goes to college! We also just love learning about anywhere she, or any loved one, is travelling to. We LOVE geography!
Oh, I’ve had my eye on these! My homeschooling kiddos are 5, 9, and 11 and we are currently studying U.S. Geography and American History, but I’m looking forward to studying world geography next year as a family. My kids are 6 & 8 and we love learning about the U.S. but really they enjoy whatever we’re studying at the time (right now it’s china, Japan, Korea).
My son is 5 and we study a different country each month. This month we are learning about Turkey; last month we studied Cote d’Ivoire.

I have been eyeing these maps for a while! My girls are 6.5 and 4 and we love learning wherever we are – the beach, the mountains, museums, farms. Right now my eldest is very interested in space and my youngest wants to read about Cowboys.
My girl is five going to be six, we love to learn at varies locations such as state parks, zoo or science museums.

These maps look amazing! My kids are ages 6, 4, 2, and 4 months. We have been learning about the indigenous people of America. We spent some time exploring in Arizona and visiting several National Parks learning about them. We have been dabbling in European culture also. My favorite though is learning about nature: animals, habitats, etc.

We are currently reading The Singing Tree, this book hits in the heart as we have been to Hungary many times for missions and two of our kids will be there again in the spring. We love learning about Asia and Central Asia as this is the birth countries of some of our kids as well. Exploring the world is just something we all love!

My children are 9 & 4. My daughter LOVES geography. She loves learning about where events in the bible happened as well as where the animals she reads about in her National Geographic magazines live. Her brother is a sponge and loves learning with his big sister! His favorite thing to learn is where the sun and moon are when we can’t see them. These hands on maps sound like they would be a fantastic learning tool for us!

My children are 17, currently attending college, and 8. We are learning about the Ratification of the Constitution today along with locating the original 13 Colonies, learning their abbreviations, when they became states, the Betsy Ross Flag and a little about her history. I can’t believe how excited our son is to learn history. We were just talking about the 50 states and he was so shocked that I knew them with their abbreviations. I guess since I am an older mom, he didn’t think I would know all ‘that stuff’, as he calls it. He was never this engaged in regular school. 😀 So happy that he is loving our new way of learning.
My son is 11, and our favorite places to learn about together are in our own country, the United States, so that we learn more about the great country we live in and want to explore more of! May God bless the USA on today’s Election Day!

My littles are 11, 8, and 4 (though they are not as little anymore)! 🙁 lol. We LOVE learning about our History and then going and visiting those places. Last year, we studied all about ancient Rome and then took a “field trip” and for a week, saw everything we had studied. Then, in past years, we’ve studied about the American Revolution and then went to visit Washington’s Park where he crossed the Delaware that fateful Christmas Eve night. We then studied the Liberty Bell and visited Philadelphia to see it and Independence Hall! SO inspiring. (more info on that part of the trip here: https://mygardensprouts.com/2013/08/05/road-trippin-homeschool-style/) Then we LOVE visiting our National Parks – in particular President Grant’s MO home and Washington’s Fort Necessity this summer. Next on our list is to study Gettysburg and see that next summer and hopefully Jamestown in the next year or two. We always accompany our study with a trip – but the studying has to come first. It makes it all the more enriching!
My kids are 5, 3, and one more on the way! They LOVE me showing them places on maps, especially as they relate to our state of Texas. But anytime they see a picture of an exotic location, they always want to know where in the world it is located.
My boys are 8 and 5. My son has been getting especially into SOTW, so he really enjoys diving in and learning about whatever country/countries are involved in the part we are studying, and I think he would love to connect more with maps and placing it all into geographic context more.

Hi! I have never entered anything to win before so if this is not how to do it correctly I apologize for my errors. My boys are 6 and 3. We have had our eye on these maps ever since Farmhouse Schoolhouse posted a review. My oldest loves to look at maps and learn about the different places my military brother goes to and he also LOVES to learn about the different flags in all the countries and states in the US. Currently we have a family emergency and had to drive to Texas from Florida. Although not great circumstances, BUT my oldest was so excited to travel the states we had been learning about and identify the states different flags. We would love these maps! What a cool amazing tool! We’ve tried using PostIt flags, but it’s simply not the same. This would be a perfect addition to our use of Give Your Child the World and Truth Quest History. My kids are 12 and 16. We love learning about places we’ve never visited, which is pretty much the entire world! Other cultures and environments fascinate us. Learning history and geography is always a fresh adventure each day.

Three boys at our house ages 8,6 and 4. They absolutely eat up U.S. History. Indians, Pioneers, and the Revolutionary War are their favorites. Outside of the U.S. they love to learn about all the different tribes many missionaries are serving in Central and South America. They love stories about missionary pilots and their adventures around the world.

What a wonderful getaway! My children’s ages are 8, 6, 4, 1. My 8 and 6 yr old love geography and specifically learning about Europe right now. We have been inspired to start learning Italian as well.
Our daughters are 12 and 13. Right now, we are studying about the History of North America. The USA/U.S. history/Early America and North American maps would be an wonderful complement to our studies this year, but Pin-It! Maps would also be terrific next year when we will be studying World History; it would be so helpful (and fun for them) to identify each of the places we study.

Now we use Jamie’s book to find new books about our favorite places. We love learning about Africa especially, and I just taught an Africa unit for our co-op.

My kids are 15,13,11 and 8. There hasn’t been a place we haven’t enjoyed learning about. Geography has been their favorite subject to learn together, each child gravitating to different aspects of that part of the world, be it history, animals or culture. Such a blessing to learn together!
Our kids range in age from 15-3 yrs old. Our favorite places to learn about together are the different countries within the 10/40 window in Sonlight’s Eastern Hemisphere Explorer. The countries are so unique (and different from ours here in America). There are lots of hands- on projects and exploratory learning going on to bring these countries to life.

I loved watching kids working with pin maps when I was a Montessori Elementary teacher. Now I’m a homeschooling mom of two boys, ages 5 and 8, and a 1 year old girl. It would be great to have pin maps at home!

My kids are 10 and 7. Geez, where are our favourite places to learn about? We went for Sushi yesterday after a tour of the WWII aviation museum and talked about Japan. My daughter is obsessed with Greece after reading Percy Jackson. My son is right now in his one day program studying the art and music of East Africa. I lived in Papua NEw Guinea in my 20s and we oftern venture there through my stories. We are Canadian military living in the US so we always like to look into the new and interesting places to visit here. Really, the World is our oyster! There is so very very much to explore.

My kids are 6 & 4 and we are just starting out. I love maps and history and so far we have enjoyed exploring the world through FIAR. I’d say we enjoy Europe & the US the most.
My boys are 7 and 10 and they love learning about all different places around the world. Right now they say their favorite places to learn about are France, Italy, England and Scotland.
I have never wanted to win anything more than I do this set of maps! Hi, new homeschooling momma to a 7 and 6 year old. This is our first year after a couple tumultuous years in public school. We are finally hitting a stride of sorts and I’m hoping to start incorporating more geography. We’ve had a successful mini unit on the Day of the Dead and Mexico, they loved it so much I’m hoping to incorporate more traditions from around the world as we learn geography. .sidenote: simple homeschool has been a God send my first year!

My kiddos are 13, 11, 9, and 3. The 3yo is currently OBSESSED with our USA floor puzzle. These maps would be a fun addition to all of our studies! We love learning about the countries from which our ancestors came, and right now, about other planets! 🙂

They like hearing mostly about exotic places like the Amazon river or the pyramids of Egypt. Anything that either has a lot of animals or a lot of exciting history attached to it is interesting to them.

My children are 3 weeks and 6 years old. My 6 year old and I study Geography weekly with Classical Conversations. My children are 7, 5, and 1. The older two LOVE to learn about countries, especially Asian countries. We just had a huge homeschool international night, and they choose Japan. They made homemade yukatas, made miso soup for everyone, and taught everyone their favorite Japanese words. Right now, we are studying N and S Korea, since my son found out that Taikwando is Korean.
We have ages 9, 7, 3, 1, and 3 months in our house! Right now my children are loving India!
My kids are 9, 6, and 4. My oldest has always been into maps/flags/information about other countries. My middle I haven’t fit in as much study on that for my younger two, so these seems like a really great way to get them all engaged with it!

We use a history and geography program that allows them all to study together. I would love to use an independent study resource so they can continue studying without me.

My kids are 9, 6, and 4. Are favorite places to study are the ones we’re going to next! For example, last year we took a deep dive into studying Panama and everything about the Panama Canal. Boy was it fantastic to stand on the canal and see everything we had just studied right before our eyes!! A year later my now 4 year old still talks about it. Next up? Cambodia!!

I am from Europe and we live in USA and we know people all around the world and that is what my kids love to do – look up all the different countries people that they meet are from or are currently living. We also spend quite a bit of time studying Europe since I am from there. And the new set of American History would be cool as my older ones are studying that.

The boys’ Godfather fuels their love of maps so they, all three, are always looking at various types of maps – anything from global to aviation.
Hi! We have three kids, ages 5, 23 months, and 7 months, and we love maps. My son was born in Northern Ireland, and we lived in Germany when my oldest was a toddler, so we like to look at the distance between us (now in Oregon) to Europe, but we also love India and China because my 5-year old loves tigers, and “The Jungle Book.”

I have heard so many wonderful things about Pin it! and have been researching more into it lately. I would LOVE to have the program to incorporate in our homeschooling! We have children ages 15, 9, 6, and 3 and we absolutely love to learn about the world! So far this year, we have been studying about Africa and some of the countries within and have truly enjoyed doing so. I think our favorite though, is going to be studying Asia as that is where a lot of our family is from. 🙂 Thank you for this opportunity!

Our favorite areas to look at are the US and Europe. I was lucky enough to be stationed in Europe when I was in the Army and I love to tell her about it and show her where I traveled and what I saw.

Greetings, I am a homeschool mom of 3 (13, 11, 10) who has never met a map she doesn’t love! Anytime I can work in a map to a lesson or story, I try. These maps are new to me but this product is definitely going on my ultimate wish list. It looks outstanding!

My kids are 3, 5, 7, 9, & 10. They love to learn about different countries we hear about on the news, during sporting events (World Cup, Olympics, etc), and from nature shows.
I have 4 wonderful kids, ages 1, 9, 12, and 16! We are currently learning about Europe & its features! I am getting inspired to delve into some cultural differences, though, to make it all seem like a very real place!!!!
We have a 7, 5, 3, and 2 (next week). We like learning about places we have been or plan to go, and places where different friends and relatives live. But most of those places are within the U.S., and I’d love to expand to a more worldwide view. These look fun!
I have an almost 7 year old daughter and she loves learning about the USA. She is starting to expand her interest outside of the USA and is starting to become interested in China and Europe.
I have 6 & 9 year old boys. We like learning about places everywhere, really. Currently, the favorite is Southern Africa. We love geography games, like 10 days. This is such a great idea!
My kids are 8 and 12. We love learning about where countries are in relation to what were studying in history. Currently WW1.

My kids are 10, 8, and 5. My 10 year old LOVES maps and has really taken an interest in them this year. We love pointing out where different missionaries are from as well as other countries in our studies. This would be perfect for us!

My boys are 6 and 9 and we have loved learning about Ancient Egypt this year! Even though we have moved onto Mesopotamia we keep finding more things about Ancient Egypt that we want to read and explore and watch!

These are so cool! My kids are 9,7 and 4. We loved studying ancient geography last year (Africa and parts of Asia) and this year are having fun with Europe.
Our kids are 10, 8, 6, & 4. Because we are a multi-ethnic family and have lived on 3 different continents we love maps. We look at anything from globes to road maps. I have looked at PinIt Maps before and they look fantastic!
My kids are 5, 3, and 1. My 5 year old LOVES our huge map in our dining room–we love finding and spelling places together. He would love these maps!
My kids are 7 and 4. Our favorite place to learn about right now is Antartica. We watched a great documentary about the people who choose to live there year round as researchers and those who support the researchers, like fire fighters. Who would have thought there were firefighters in Antarctica!
My kids are 11 and 9. Currently my kids love learning about locations in the U.S.A. since we are studying American history this year.
My son is 10! Our favorite places to learn about are related to places we’ve been or hope to someday!

My kids are 6, 4, and 5 months. My 6 yr old loves studying the flags of other countries and my 4 yr old currently likes to do our USA states map puzzle. These maps look amazing…I know both of my kids would absolutely love them (and so would I!). ????

My kids are 7,5, and 2. We are reading through “Children Just Like Me” and finding the kids’ countries on the maps. They tend to like the stories they can relate to somehow and seem most intrigued by climates unlike their own. Hot and not flat are very interesting!

My kiddos are 12 & 15. We love exploring and learning just about anywhere! Japan has a special place in our hearts though because that is where my hubby is from.
Our kids are 6 years, 4 years, 2 years, and 4 months. They really enjoy learning about different places in America, but also the Middle East, since daddy is deployed over there for a year. They are fascinated by the spinning of the earth and time zones – why it’s a different time of day when dad calls.
I have three boys 8, 7, and 5. This year we are enjoying learning about Europe and Russia as we work trough Classical Conversations Cycle 2 memory work.

My kids are 9 and 8. Right now we’re working our way through Canada with ‘Canada, My Country’ and related map books. They are loving it!
I have kids aged 16, 13 and 10 (and a 20yo graduate). They are all interested in the UK, and any places they can find a personal connection. If they know someone living there, or a family member is visiting a place, they are curious.

These are so cool! My kids are 6. 5, and 3 and we have really loved learning about Egypt and Ancient History this year.
My kids are 8 and 2. We’ve been doing ancient history and have studied Europe, China, and India. I’m looking forward to branching out from there. Right now we just have an outdated globe that predates the breakup of the Soviet Union!
My-five-year old and three-year-old both said they enjoyed learning about the United States. One of my favorite lessons we did together was on the Mississippi river. We made a boat and pretended to float down the river while watching a video that showed images along the river. We just moved on to Europe and are excited to do an overview of all the continents this year.
This is wonderful as resources can be so expensive. My 7yo homeschooler loves to trace maps out of books. Her favorite lesson has been Roman territory and their architecture. She paints their historical aqueducts. She is also very interested in Europe, Africa and the Mediterranean Sea as she is following the volcanic activity in Italy. I feel these mapping resources would increase her interests and encourage a life long love of geography and hopefully spark my 12 yos interest too!

My 5 and 7 year old boys love to get out the globe and see the places we are learning about in relation to where we are. We’d love to have some maps to expand our learning experience. Some of our favorites have been China since we had some exchange students stay with us, Egypt, Africa (the home to many of the animals they love), England, and our own USA. These maps look like an amazing addition to any homeschool.

My kids are ages 6, 4, 3, and 17 months. They like to learn about anywhere. They are so young with their minds so open to anything. It is incredible to see their thirst for knowledge and I love to be able to share with them more than just our little world.
