I think I love so many in British History from Tyndale to Wilberforce, to Princess Diana. I really admire all of them, for their courage to do the right things and to change the world around them. I love that Princess Diana was the people’s Princess and I felt like she really helped make the Royals so much more approachable and the openness. I loved watching her as I grew up. Her children are fantastic and I can’t wait to see the Royal Wedding!

My favorite (besides Queen Elizabeth II) would be King George VI, his rein was imposed on him and he handled it was grace and servitude to the empire like no King before him. His rein was during one of the most difficult times in modern history. And he and his bride raised two lovely daughters, one being the Queen whom also handles her duties to her people with grace.

My favorite person in British history would probably be Queen Victoria, especially after watching the mini-series on Masterpiece Theater. More than likely, I will not be watching the royal wedding.

Of course we will be watching the wedding! Quite an exciting spring for royals with a baby and a wedding! I appreciate many people in England’s history. The current queen is an amazing person with genuine faith.

Favorite PERSON in British history?? That would have to be an author, maybe C.S. Lewis, for example, but it would be hard to narrow it down! Favorite royal, probably Catherine of Aragon (okay, so she was Spanish, but…), but I’ve also been reading a lot about Lady Jane Grey recently. I’m honestly pretty impressed with the current Queen Elizabeth, as well.
If my 12-year-old daughter reminds me in time, yes, we’ll be watching the royal wedding. She’s the one I would love to have these paper dolls for. I remember getting up at 2:00 a.m. with my mother to watch Diana and Charles get married.
