My kids are 4&3. We’ve just moved into a small apartment while we wait on my husband to receive a commission in the US Air Force and then make another move. We do work at the dinner table and store supplies and books in a bedroom. A few posters they’ve colored and other artwork is all we have up for now.

Lisa H
My kids are 10, 8, 6. We do most school work in the living room or at the kitchen table, so our ‘decor’ is lacking. 😉

I homeschool my boys who are 8 and 11. Right now, we are settling into a house we just bought. Not sure what we’ll be doing to decorate. We don’t have an official homeschool room, but I’ll probably be putting up a map somewhere and a bulletin board to show off their hardwork.
Wani
My kids are 8, 6 and 3. The younger two are in special needs classes and I homeschool the oldest. We homeschool at the kitchen table so there isn’t a whole lot of school type decorating going on. Though we do have a big chalkboard now! 😉

Then there are all of our posters, we have a hundreds chart, tricky homophones, vowels, parts of speech, and books of the bible. Down low we have the alphabet and numbers 0-10 for our three year old to see. We have a 7 year old son, and a 5 year old daughter. Our dining room is decorated with banners the children have made, and our mantle above our non-functional fire place houses our books. We use a Melissa and Doug easel for our whiteboard. It’s not fabulous, but it works for us. 🙂
Kristy
Our daughter is 4 and our “homeschool area” is essentially our entire house, though it’s focused in the dining room and living room. I have simple black outline on white paper US and world maps, as well as a colorful US labeled map hanging in the living room. The dining room is where she displays her artwork that she creates herself and the projects we do together.
Paula G
My kids are 6 and 4. I’ve decorated with maps, a number chart, calendar, pocket chart, music posters to help read music… But our favorite area is the “Best Work” corner, where my kids can hang up their work or art projects when they are proud of what they’ve done.

My kids are 4, 12 & 14 years old and we have sort of a relaxed beachy theme in our school room. We have a large tree decal with birds flying away on one wall and on the other we have a large canvas of a beautiful little island and a smaller canvas of all three of the kids at the beach. We decorate with seashells and seaglass and anything else that gives it that relaxing beachy feel. We have a little white loveseat right in the middle of the room where the kids like to cozy up and read a book from one of the three big bookshelves onourbal I like that it doesn’t look like a schoolroom, it just looks like a nice place to whip out a good book and chill

I have three kiddos: 7, 5, and 1 years old. Our school room is basically our living room and dining room so I don’t have much decorated school-wise. I try to put most things away instead of leaving them out, ie maps and such. I’d love a dedicated school room! Maybe the next house!
Meg
We have a 1,2 and 5 year old. Our homeschool/dining room is decorated with maps and a handwriting chart.

My son is three, so we are just getting started. We’ve yet to establish a specific space for schooling, but have made an effort to decorate with items he finds interesting. It can be as simple as animal photographs from our local zoo’s newsletter, ABC/123 posters received as gifts, flea market finds, art by myself or friends, etc. It looks… unique. 🙂

almost four and a baby, we don’t decorate per say…. unless you count paper airplanes and art projects…. and boxes that are deemed a wide variety of things 🙂

My daughter is 3.5 and we decorate with number cards (working on 11-15 right now) and other items designed for teachers’ bulletin boards. We also have a magnetic calendar and responsibilities chart.
Penny
My girls are 8, 8 and 7. Since my homeschool room is the dining room I tend to not decorate with much. We have a huge map of the world that is on the wall and also a time line painted that I have taped pictures of the people and events we are learning about. Other than that I use a lot of my kids artwork to decorate the kitchen!
Linn
My 4 kids are between 8-15 and our school room is a relaxing nature theme. We have a large aquarium in the room with turtles and a waterfall. There are stuffed animal birds around the room and we look out 2 windows over the front garden and bird feeder. I have a few posters that get changed out regularly and lots of bookshelves and baskets. A few years ago we didn’t have a room and just used crates and the kitchen table, and while it worked, I’m so grateful to be able to have a whole room to use!
Tiffany
This is my first year homeschooling a 3rd grader and a preschooler. Our dining room is our classroom. We have our American Flag proudly hanging on our wall. We are learning United States history this year, so we have a map and a timeline decorating our room. We also have our alphabet letter cards on display. We are praying for a new home with more space for more learning!
Allison
My children are 21 months and 1 month, so no official school room yet. We currently decorate our areas with art projects we make at home and independent drawings and ‘writings’ that my daughter makes. In my kindergarten class in past years, we mostly decorated with child-produced posters, anchor charts, and other works to help students maintain ownership of their learning.

My children are 7,5,4,and 1. We like to learn everywhere, but when we need a little
more structure we move to the “school room” (which is supposed to be the dining room). Currently we are using some old decorations from when I used to teach public school- 8 yrs. ago. Teaching my own kiddos at home is so much more fun! But we could definitely uese some new decorations! Thanks for doing the giveaway!

After years of homeschooling we just moved into a house where we have a schoolroom (!) I’ve always been told how overrated having a schoolroom is, but so far I’m lovin it! We just finished unpacking so we haven’t decorated yet.

My daughter is 7, going on 8 and we decorate her learning area simply with emphasis on “how to think like a scientist” cutouts and bubble ideas decorating the walls.

This is our first year of homeschooling. We live in a tight space inner-city. There is 5 of us (2 adults, 3 kids) in a small condo. However, we are beyond blessed. Right now, we have no decorations. Our homeschool is our living room/dining room.

The walls are decorated with construction paper having the alphabet, numbers, and shapes, a cork board with the week’s theme, and a picture of Jesus. Eventually I would like to hang the maps I’ve been collecting.

Since my daughter knows her ABC’s and can count to 20, our goals for this year are to count to 100, learn colors and shapes, recognize her name and identifying letters on a page, and visit a farm and a zoo.

I decorate with a variety of things, right now its art paintings the kids made, abc’s and numbers up to 20. They like to seee what they have made displayed so we rotate what they make a lot

Those books look so great! My husband and I were just talking about getting our older two boys some sort of drawing books for Christmas. We have four boys. They are 2, 4, 6, and 8. In our cozy classroom you’ll find everything from Dollar Tree finds to hand-me-downs. We find great free printables and occasionally buy things from school supply places. Oh, we do have storage units and desks from ikea.

My children are 11, 10, 8, 6, 3, and one coming soon. I really don’t decorate with any store bought items. We just use the ART projects the kids do through out the year. Like last month we read Charlotte’s Web as our book of the month and we made spider webs out of sticks and yarn then Wilbur pigs out of paper plates and those are what my décor has involved however I do put up the posters of Nancy Larson science this year we have mammals and other science things. I suppose I could do more but after I buy school books and programs there is not aton of money left over. Thanks so much for this wonderful giveaway!

My daughter is 8, and my son is 5 ( and I have an 18 month old, too). We live off one income, so the majority of what decorates our room is PDF printables in Dollar Tree frames, haha. I get alot of educational posters that are grade appropriate from Dollar Tree as well. I also have hand painted educational stuff on canvas from Michaels craft store. We are a Christian homeschool so there are alot of scriptures that edify my kids posted, that deal primarily with grace, which is the basis for our homeschool. All in all, it’s slightly a little bit of everything;-)

My kids are 7, 4, 2, and 8 months. Behind a curtain on our dining room wall we have a world map, a hundred’s chart, a chicka-chicka-boom-boom tree made out of brown wrapping/shipping paper and green construction paper with the letters ‘e’, ‘f’, ‘s’, ‘l’, ‘t’, and ‘h’ making their way up the tree, and about 6 sheets with our weekly Bible verse and coloured pictures to go with them. Each of my big kids also has a calendar up with their activities listed and a whiteboard wall-adhesive that they can list out what to do each day. The great thing is, when the day is done or company is coming over, we can pull the curtain closed and school disappears behind a lovely yellow and white gingham curtain. : )
