When everyone is falling apart …
I have a five year old budding scientist. He has just discovered the Magic School Bus series. He would love this! And I teach the kindergarten science class at our co-op. The hands on elements of this would really help make the concepts real for the kids

Hi, I have a 7 year old daughter who absolutely loves hands on science but we’ve recently had a long break from homeschooling as my husband suddenly passed away last summer. This would be the perfect thing to help us jump back into things.

Good morning! I was so thrilled to come across this email today! My children are almost 8, 6, and 15 months. Science is HUGE in our household, and The Magic SchoolBus is our favorite means of learning about it. Yesterday was their last day of public school and we are so ready to begin this incredible homeschool journey!

I have a 13 year old daughter and twin 10 year old boys. The kids have always been HUGE Magic School Bus fans. We own all the movies and have many of the books as well. Science is everyone’s favorite subject. We would be thrilled to win this. My husband lost his job 10 months ago and we are in the process of moving as we can’t afford our mortgage payments much longer. We’re moving to a new state to stay in my parent’s vacation home. This would be something that would brighten up their rather dreary lives right now. We can’t afford all the fun kits and extras anymore, like we once could. Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway!

My 6 year old twins are huge Magic School Bus fans and interested in anything scientific. They want to learn why things happen as well as how. They’ve devoured every Magic School Bus book they can find and read them over and over until almost memorized! (They can both quote you the Water Cycle). Their birthday is in May and this would be the best birthday surprise ever.

My girls are 6 & 8. Their dad is a scientist and they want to be just like him. My oldest has watched every magic school bus episode and has most memorized. This would be a dream come true for her to put her love for science into action.

I would like to win this set because I have a 3 year old daughter named, Lillee, and a 1 year old son, Mak. After placing my first child into adoption almost 5 years ago and speaking with his adoptive mom about how she has homeschooling all of her children, I have been set on giving my children the same opportunity. My babied are 2, 3, & 6! My husband and I have made the decision to homeschool our children begining in August when our daughter will be starting first grade. We made this decision for several reasons after sending her to kindergarten at a public school. I have no materials, winnng this would be such a blessing!

My almost five year old loves the magic school bus kits. We have done two kits, volcanos and space, as part of unit studies. We used non-fiction books from the library and magic school bus chapter books as read alouds along with the magic school bus DVDs. We would love the opportunity to do more of the kits without breaking the bank. I’m hoping to reuse parts of the kit with my younger child when he gets older.

I just started homeschooling my daughter, 5, this January. We’ve never used the Magic School Bus. We’re so new to this that I need all the help I can get especially to teach myself to teach my daughter! My fear for homeschooling has been lack of self confidence in teaching my daughter. I don’t have any background in teaching and children’s psychology. But, I realized that I CARE about her education probably more than a teach to 15 students can care about my child’s education. There are abundance of resources I can pull in to help myself to teach her! This being one of them! So, I’d love to win this (and of course, need to stop writing or else it’d be a book!)

My children are 8 years old, 4 years old, 2 years old, and 5 months old. My oldest child could benefit so much from having a year’s worth of science because we have just started the homeschooling journey, after she had been in public school for the first half of the year, where she did not have any science classes or lessons whatsoever from the first day of school until I pulled her out. Now she can’t get enough of science, and will spends days on one area of science.

I have a 4-year-old with Asperger’s who is enraptured by science and music. I also have a 2 year old girl who loves anything her brother does. My son’s favorite toy at the moment is Snap Circuits, and he loves the magic schoolhouse books, so I know he’d adore the Magic School Bus kits. I have an 8 year old boy and 17 year old boy/ girl twins who will graduate this spring. I’ve not been very good with teaching science through the years. This looks like fun.
I have a four year old and almost two year old son. My four year old is really into experiments. He loves creating them! As a former teacher who used to use some of the Magic School Bus videos, books, and experiments in my classroom, I know how awesome it would be to win this kit!

Already a fan of Simple Homechool, Just liked Educents. My son, Kimbel is 18 months and I have one on the way. My mom did her thesis on homeschooling and homeschooled me on English and Grammar back in the early 80’s when phonics got replaced by ill effective sight reading. I was always way ahead of my peers in school and look forward to unschooling my own kids. I would love to add this to my arsenal of learning “games” to entertain and fascinate my little ones as they become eager to learn science and math!

I homeschool my son, 9 and my daughter, 16. I would love to win this for my son. I really suck at Science. I have yet to find a curriculum that we both enjoy. He has language processing issues and is more of a hands on learning child rather than a book learner. We both love the Magic School Bus and I have eyed this a number of times. Hi I have an amazingly gifted 3 year old. He LOVES books and would read them all day if he he could! He’s already sounding out three letter words and is well his way. he loves anything science and he very interested in how things work and is extremely imventive and creative! Money is not the most right now but we make use of everythingn in the house!
Our girls are 7, 5, and almost 2. They all 3 love The Magic School Bus. They love to check them out at the library even though we can watch them on Netflix. I have thought about purchasing the science kits many times for them. They would have a blast learning and doing the experiments.

I remember watching Magic School Bus episodes in the library at school, it was the best. My boys now 11 and 7 were able to watch some until our VCR quit working. This is a great way to really learn. Our favorite Ms. Frizzle quote is about taking chances, making messes, making mistakes.

My son is almost 6, and he would love to win this because he’s a tiny science junkie.
I would love to see him win this because it would mean he gets the joy of opening a box just for him one more time – his grandma used to send a “special surprise” box full of neat homeschooling activities every month, but she passed away a few weeks ago. My heart is breaking every time he asks if we can check the mail for a surprise, and money is a little too tight to carry my mom’s tradition on by myself right now. It would be nice to be able to tell him that yes, little man, there is a box for you today!

My kids are 3 & 6 & we’ve been homeschooling for a year & a half. My son (6) LOVES Science, but I struggle b/c I don’t have an explicit curriculum for that subject yet. He also loves the Magic Schoolbus series & is a visual/kinesthetic learner so this would be PERFECT for us in that it would be high interest & hands on for him & provide me with structure & direction.

I homeschool 3 boys, 7 1/2, 4 1/2, 2 1/2. My 7yr old is always asking if we can do a science experiment “today”?! To him this is what makes homeschool so fun! I struggle coming up with different experiments on my own that I could actually explain to them the results. We end up doing baking soda and vinegar concoctions over and over for the wow factor! I love that these kits would explain the “how” and “why” and would tie science and fun all together! It would be a blessing to receive this for our homeschool. Thank you for the opportunity. My six yr old has always loved science but my five yr old is more resistant however The Magic School Bus really interests her and she requests to watch it now. My children loved the Magic School Bus when they were younger, but at 29,19,19,15 & 13, I’m afraid they are past the stage where this would be enjoyable for them. Fortunately, my grandson is 5, loves the Magic School Bus, received the DVDs for Christmas and has just started his homeschooling journey. This would be ideal for such an inquisitive little boy.
Myy kids are 8, 9, 11 & 13. I would love to win this! I’ve looked at it for awhile, and we just can’t do it right now. I love Educents also! Science seems to be the thing we skip if there isn’t time. Hi! My boys are 3 and 5. They are both intensly into dinosaurs, and have been for over a year. It is pretty awesome when your three year old tells you his favourite meat eater is tyrannosaurus rex, and his favourite plant eater is stegosaurus. Both my boys are always fascinated by anything to do with ‘science’, and this giveaway would be exciting and useful in our unschooling life!
We would love to add the Magic School Bus Science Club to our curriculum. Our family is just preparing to start our homeschool journey in the fall. Before I had two children, I was a public school teacher and I used the Magic School Bus books and videos in my lessons whenever they fit with what we were learning. I just know my kids would love to use all these products!

I have 3 children ranging from high school down to my 8 year old. My 8 year ild daughter is who I homeschool. She is a hands on learner and this would be a wonderful addition to our school.

I am a mom of three young ones(6,4,1 month). I have wanted to homeschool my own children ever since I was 16 years old and met friends who were homeschooled. It is such a strong desire that I just cannot shake. My husband is understanding but not on board with the idea (financially I need to go back to work) and I have one more year to figure out how to homeschool and show him that the benefits to our children outweigh our desire for additional income. I have done many science experiments with my kids but it is not my strong suit and I’m feeling a little lost finding appropriate topics and explaining at their level. My kids are 8 and 6 years old. We don’t have a science curriculum. We have just been learning about whatever comes to mind and use books we can find at the library. This magic school bus set would be heaven sent. I also have a 2 year old and having this cirriculum would take weight off my shoulders and stress out of my day. Then I wouldn’t have to think and take the time to put together our science lessons every week.

I just started dual enrollment with my kindergartener in January (part-time homeschool, part-time at our local public school) who is having a hard time transitioning to learning from mom (who she says is NOT her real teacher). My children are 9, 8, and 3 years old. We read The Magic School Bus books and watch the videos all the time. My middle son over came his fear of tornadoes by reading a Magic School Bus book! Their resources are great and help kids understand the world around them! We would be able to use this for our everyday science lessons.
My children (and one step-child) are 8, 4, 2, and 3 months. My oldest, for as long as I can remember has always been making “concoctions” and different experiments. She is always playing teacher (science teacher) and trying to teach my youngest ones different things and show them cool experiments. In a world filled with tv, video games, and tons of other electronics I think it is great that my children love to explore and form different science experiments by themselves (more so the 8 & 4 yr old). My oldest wants to be a scientist when she grows up, likes the Magic School Bus, AND her birthday is in two months. This would make an AWESOME birthday present!!

My kids are 5 (starting this Monday), 6, 7, and 8. We’ve been operating within the, “Science Comes to Us” curriculum and should probably shoot for something slightly more organized. We’re excellent movie-watchers! Fortunately, most movie-watching is followed by outdoor role-play games to reenact the movie we just watched. We live in a subdivision and it’s a little embarrassing because people stare… or at least I imagine they do. They probably don’t.
I have 4 kids. Ages 17, 14, 8 and 5. We love watching the Magic School Bus show. This would be a great addition to our studies!!

He loves all things science, especially anything about the human body or outer space. This would be perfect for this coming year. He would LOVE it!

My kids are on the young side…4, 2 and 3 months. We’re doing what I affectionately refer to as “pretend homeschool” which means we read storybooks and play with my homemade phonics cards and explore math using Cheerios as manipulatives…just trying to keep it light and fun, but still a fixture in our day. I’ve been trying to figure out how to add in some science play and I think this is a great option. I’m not overly science-minded, so I think something like this would be a big help. I have 4 boys, 13, 10, 8, 4. They love doing their own projects and experiments. It would be wonderful to have this as a resource for controlled science learning.
My kids would love these kits; they would be so excited about these experiments. They are 15, 11, 9, 7, 4, 2, and 3 months. (So we kind of drive a magic school bus, too – but sometimes it’s more like crazy :)).

My daughters are 10 years old, 7 years old, and 3 months old. My older children LOVE science and I’ve put a lot of effort into fostering that! As a low-income family, it’s not always easy to do science experiments on a budget, and we love Magic School Bus!

Trying to learn how to teach more classical (with fun) it’s not easy learning to teach the way public school teaches. I’m a product of public school. But we are working hard to Educate not school. I have looked in the magic school bus packets and I really like them. I have used magic school bus videos to “bring home” a lesson plan, my kids love magic school bus!!!

I have a 5 year old boy, an 8 year old girl and a 10 year old boy. I homeschool them and LOVE it. They beg me to do Science but I’ve never been able to get my act together and add it into the mix. I would love it to be fun but the whole idea of Science is VERY intimidating to me. I want to learn along with my kids and have fun but don’t know how to do it, when it comes to Science! I love Magic School bus books and shows so I think these Science kits would be an AWESOME way to introduce and ignite their love for Science!! 🙂

I have a 6 yr old son that I just began homeschooling 2 months ago. I would LOVE to win this bc my husband lost his (of 10 yrs) 2 weeks ago and I we really can’t afford any extra activities. My daughter is 3! I’d love to win because my daughter loves hands on science activities and worksheets. She’s really at the perfect age to start these activities and use them for a long time. Magic school bus is such a great tool in teaching science!

We would absolutely LOVE to win this! Our kids are 5yr old triplets. We’ve been homeschooling and our kids favorite subject is science. They absolutely love anything hands on. We’ve been wanting this set for a while, just haven’t had the extra finances yet.
My homeschoolers is 7, also have a 2 year old and one on the way. We have been trying nature science this year but find real life experience difficult since we live in az with only 2 seasons and not much nature to match up with his curriculum. This set would really draw him in and keep his interest with actual experiments and hands on learning.

I love how it inspires them to use their imaginations. It causes them to question and engage which makes it an important staple in their education.
The Magic School Bus is the perfect balance of material without being “dumbed” down or too much. I can’t praise it enough.
I forgot to add how we would use the kit if they won it. We would add to the science curricula that is already in place. They love experiments and request them often. The best way to learn for children of that age is with hands on materials, so we would add them to give them a better understanding of what they have just learned.
