2 things I think you’ll be excited about

2 things I think you'll be excited about
Written by Jamie Martin of Simple Homeschool

Note: This sale has ended, but you can still enroll in these courses individually!

You know, they say that outer order contributes to inner calm. If so, then the opposite must be true as well:

Outer chaos can contribute to inner chaos.

Or as a book I know wisely puts it, it’s hard to make a difference when you can’t find your keys.

But there are two things I’m excited about this week that can help with outer order and inner calm–and both are found in this week’s Ultimate Homemaking Bundle.

A few years ago I got my hands on my very first homemaking bundle. I had never heard about anything like it before and I devoured tons of the ebooks and used many of the resources. I learned so much and cashed in those bonuses like a champ!

This year, even though I don’t have as much time to dig into as many of the resources, I’m excited about the fact that two bloggers who I have known and followed for years have their popular e-courses in this year’s bundle!

Take a peek:

1. Cozy Minimalist Mom with Myquillyn Smith (The Nester!)

cm-mom1

I consider myself a fairly minimalist mom, but even so–kids’ toys?! You guys know how much energy it takes to stay on top of those.

Earlier this week I dropped everything to go into Elijah’s room and help him sort through his stuff.

I thought we had things cleared out before his recent birthday, but nope–I’m convinced that all the mini-figures somehow multiply in the middle of the night.

These are our super-impressive after photos of his previously cluttered bookshelf:

I didn’t take a pic of the “BEFORE” status, but just imagine three times the stuff and a thick layer of dust over it all. You’ve got the idea.

We’ve been decluttering for a while, so his room wasn’t completely out of control. But it was still beyond my comfort zone.

And that’s where Cozy Minimalist Mom came in:

It’s all about Kids Stuff, Simplified.

It’s an online, self-study course, but one that doesn’t take a ton of time. It includes:

  • Access to 10 video modules
  • Audio downloads of sessions to take on the go
  • Bonus: A conversation with another Cozy Minimalist Mom (includes 10 additional videos)

In her signature, laid-back, “it doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful” style, Myquillyn delivers freeing truths about decluttering and organization throughout the ten modules.

These points stood out to me:

  • Everyone deserves to be messy
  • YOU get to pick the toys
  • If it doesn’t bother you, don’t bother! (Love this.)

See what I mean about freeing?!

2. Upstream Field Guide with Tsh Oxenreider

I’ve known Tsh for over six years, and throughout that time I’ve been inspired by the way she lives true to herself, with intention. Her family is crystal clear about their unique purpose, but her tone of writing never makes me feel pressured to live exactly as they do.

me-bw-530x544Instead, if I could sum up Tsh’s message in three words, they would probably be these:

You do you.

That’s what her e-course, Upstream Field Guide is all about.

It isn’t out to make sure you embrace Tsh’s priorities. Instead it’s there to help you figure out your own–and then determine what that needs to look like in your own life.

So if you feel overwhelmed by the messages about how you should live in our culture, then paddle upstream alongside Tsh to calmer, deeper waters and create an inner map to discover your own best path.

Here are the details of what’s included in Tsh’s course:

  • 8 podcast sessions to help you figure out your life purpose and put it into a purpose statement
  • interviews with other writers trying to paddle upstream in their lives
  • downloadable worksheets and journaling pages (in other words, the cheap version of therapy!)
  • access to an active Facebook group
  • music playlists to listen to while you work through the material (Tsh has great taste in music, so this is one of my favorite parts!)
