We are a Christian family of four. Our daughter is 12 years old and our son is 9. It is so hard to find good bible based history audiobooks!!! We use story of the world, but these audiobooks look amazing.

Wow–our favorite audio…that’s a tough one! We listen to audio books everyday: during ‘quiet rests’, in the car, on trips. Probably The Chronicles of Narnia would win as our very favorite. Our five kids are from 25 to 6 years old! Blessings to whoever wins!

My 3 oldest boys, now graduated, all read many of Henty’s books. But my 2 daughters, ages 13 and 8, are reluctant readers. They love audio books and I would love to have them hear the Henty stories, as their brothers did. We have all enjoyed the Hank the Cow Dog audiobooks for years!

We have 4 daughters, ages 14, 11 , 10 and 10. I So relate to your blog as all 4 are adopted and the youngest 3 are all the same age 6 months out of the year. We’ve been enjoying listening to the Anne of Green Gables series over lunch during our homeschool days.

My kids are young, 5 & 2, but we are a history-buff family. Grandpere does reenactments of the French and Indian War, as well as, guides historical treks (COHT.org), we shoot muzzle loaders, my mother heirloom quilts, and my husband is currently writing his dissertation on Korean Military History. The passion runs deep!
My 6yo and I are currently hooked on the Ancient History and French History for kids podcasts.
My DD is 11, my granddaughter is 10, and my grandson is 1 … our favorite book has been The Mystery of History series … but we’d love to move to historical storytelling!
My kids are 7, 8, and 14. Our favorite audio to listen to as a family would have to be the Land of Stories series.

We love reading The Story of the World by Susan Wise Bauer. We would love to get more into audio history so the littles could listen more often without always relying on an adult to have a free moment to read to them.
Hi, My name is Amber. I have an 8 year old, a 7 year old and a 7 month old. They love PawPads and Tales and listening to The magic tree house books on audio. Sounds like a great history program!
My kids are 12, 10,& 9. We love audiobooks! Some of our favorites have been: The Green Ember, The Door in the Wall, Abel’s Island, and Peter and the Star Catchers. Oh my, we just keep coming up with more! We also love Johnathan Park audio drama. These history audiobooks have been on our list for a while now too.

Our kids are 10, 8, & 5. I think our favorite was during last summer’s road trip up the California coast listening to Island of the Blue Dolohins! At one of our stops we even got to see a HUGE whale rib like was put around the cave entrance to protect the girl from the wild dogs. So cool!

My kids are 10,8,6 and 5 weeks old. My oldest likes listening to The Hobbit and Chronicles of Narnia. Our family favorite is probably anything from “Your Story Hour”.
We have a 10-year-old and babysit a 2-year-old regularly. We are big fans of audibooks, especially while traveling. Right now, we are listening to the Anne of Green Gables series and loving it.
My kiddos are 11,8,6,3.5, and 6 mos. three girls and two boys. We’ve not done a lot of audio books but we do a lot of read alouds and love The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
We have 6 kids ages 15, 13, 11, 9, 3, and 5 month old. We enjoy lots of audiobooks but our favorite would be all of A.A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh stories read by Peter Dennis. He does wonderful voices for each character. The humor and sweetness of the stories shine through in Peter Dennis’ reading. The whole family listens and enjoys it again and again.

I have 3 kids, ages 13, 10, and 7. My kids have literally listened to every Adventures in Odyssey adventure there is! We enjoy radio theatre or audio dramas produced by Focus on the Family and Lamplighter. Our most recent favorite was With Lee in Virginia, which we listened to twice: once while driving through Virginia, and another time while driving to Andersonville National Memorial, a Civil War prison for Union soldiers!

Our favorite Audio Story would have to be tie between the Brink man Adventures about Missionaries in Africa & the Adventure in Oddysey History series from God&Country about Abe Lincoln.
They ask to hear them again and again.

We are just preparing to start our homeschool journey and have not really introduced the boys (Aidan 9, Liam 6 and Devyn 4, plus one more on the way any day now. 😉 ) to audio books, but I love the concept behind these.

This is very cool! Our seven and six year olds love Adventures in Odyssey!
Our children are 10, 9, 7, 5, and 2. We enjoy the series Adventures in Odyssey did through the Bible.
We have 3 boys, 12, 9, & 3. We absolutely love audiobooks. Our favorites are the Adventures in Odyssey series. We listened to the from WI to AL this past spring break (2 days to get down there. 2 Back) and we never got tired of them. I would love to check out this new series. I’m sure we would all love them. Our kids are 8 (turning 9 next week!), 7, and 5 years old. They LOVE odyssey. We listen to at least two a day (thank goodness for Odyssey Club!) and when they were little, they loved the Jesus Storybook Bible on audio.
My daughter is 20 (but you’re never to old, right!) She listens to Adventures in Odyssey everyday. 🙂 There is no way we could choose just one favorite.

Wow, I’d love to win this! My kids are 10, 8, 5, and 1. They LOVE Adventures in Odyssey but I’m partial to Focus on the Family’s Radio Theater. My favorite is Les Miserables. Also, Edward Hermann’s reading of Geronimo Stilton is pretty fantastic too though.
My kids are 14, 12, 11 and 8. We love the Sugar Creek Gang and spend a lot of time in our RV traveling and listening to audio books for our homeschooling 🙂
My kiddos are 17, 12, 10, 7 and 4. We love Adventures In Oddessy and Anne of Green Gables. This sounds like a wonderful collection.
My kids are 7, 5 and baby due in June. We bought with Lee in Virginia and Under Drake’s flag for guy birthday presents. We would love a set of our own.

My boys are 3.5 and 5.5. I would probably save this until they are to the recommended age (sharing it with nieces and nephews until then!) Our recent favorite audiobooks are spoon by amy krause rosenthal and Cloudette.
We have 8 kids…..7 boys, ages 12,11,9,8,5,3,1,and a 3 month old girl. Our favorite audiobook is The Shadow Spinner. We homeschool and my kids love audiobooks!

My children are 16, 13, 5 and 2. My 3 oldest children love the audio stories from Adventures in Odyssey and listen to the CDs when the show isn’t playing at 7pm!
My children are 17, 12, 10, 7 and 3. Right now we are listening to Rudyard Kipling’s just-so stories and the Raggedy Ann stories.
Our boys are 9 and 10. The youngest son is dyslexic so he listens to a lot of audiobooks. We are working through The Chronicals of Narnia together in the car. We just finished Johnny Tremain and loved it!
Our kids are 21, 18, 14, 12, 10, 8, 5, 2. With several highly auditory oriented children we have loved Chronicles of Narnia, Jonathan Park, and most recently Bonhoeffer. The very favorite would be all of the Adventures in Odessey.

We have 2 kids, a boy 8 years old and a girl, 7years. We travel for Daddy’s work a lot and love listening to audio books. So far their favorite is Dragon Rider, read by Brandon Fraser.

I have two teenagers 13 and 16. My son has hated history for the past 3 years. This sounds like just the thing to make him finally realize how interesting history can be.

My kids are 14 and 10. We have so many favorite audios, The Railway Children, Understood Betsy, Winnie the Pooh, Story of the World, It’s just too hard to pick one.
My kids are 4 and 6. We really like Sparkle Stories and Adventures in Odyssey as well as classics that we find on CD at the library.
Our kids are 11, 9, 6, 3, and 1. Adventures in Odyssey, The Pond, and Roald Dahl books are their favorite audio stories!

We’re a family of four. Our boys are seven and 15. We’re trying to encourage their love of books.
My kiddos are 13, 10, 10, 8, 8, 7 and 6. Our favorite story to listen to is usually the one we are currently hearing. This week, that story is “A Horse and His Boy” by C.S. Lewis.
Our kids are 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, and 8. We have several audio series we have rotated through and keep coming back to: Jonathon Park, the Narnia audio drama, Christopher Paolini’s Inheritance series, and Harry Potter. We are excited about the new G. A. Henty books being produced
Our kids are 5, 8, 11 and 13. It’s all Adventures in Odyssey over here! We are homeschooling 6th grade and up so this would be a great addition.

We have 6 children age 5-13. I think the most listened to audio in our house is Great Inventors and their Inventions by David Angus.

Chronicles of Narnia
We have 3 beautiful souls, ages 11,10 & 1!! My older children have the profound gift of dyslexic minds… Audio books are a God-send! We enjoy Adventures in Odyssey daily and Swiss Family Robinson. We have not yet explored G.A. Henry books, but love love love learning centered on history. Thanks!!
I love Adventures in Odyssey and their Narnia series is amazing!
My boys are 13 and 11. We listen to audios in the car all the time with our homeschooling! We love anything historical or geographical including Crispin, Carry On Mr. Bowditch, The 39 Clues, Prince and the Pauper, and especially the Grandma Dowdle series. I’ve been looking for some Henty books to try, and these sound like they’ll be very well done!
My kids love “The Chronicles of Narnia” audio series but my favorite by far is “The Screwtape Letters” done by Focus on the Family. We’ll acted out by a star studded cast and the extras are fun and informative. 🙂
Almost forgot! My kids ages are 31, 29, 27, 22, 20, 18, 16, 14, 10, 8, 5. And yes, they’re all mine. 😉

We’re a family of five – our boys are almost 8, four and four months old. The two oldest love Adventures in Odyssey, and we used the Audio American History Adventures in Odyssey that the Home School Legal Defense Association offered this past year as part of our curriculum. It is great!
We have four kiddos, ages: 14, 12, 10, & 9. We can only choose one favorite? Yikes. Andrew Clements series Keepers of the School was a great listen last Summer. As well as Teddy’s Button, All Creatures Great and Small, and Black Stallion. And the Sugar Creek Gang.
