Welcome to the first giveaway in this week’s Back to Homeschool Giveaway Week, sponsored by Lavender’s Blue Homeschool:

“At Lavender’s Blue Homeschool I work with families who are looking for a holistic homeschooling method – one that nurtures their child’s creativity, spirit, and intelligence.
I offer tons of free resources for the early years on the blog as well as complete Waldorf-inspired curriculums for kindergarten and first grade.”
“I feel strongly that holistic education has so much potential to change the world in a positive way, one child and family at a time.

Lavender’s Blue Kindergarten is for parents who want to inspire their children’s learning through play, nature, art, song, and story. It includes all the circle times, stories, watercolor painting, beeswax modeling, and crafts you need for a joyful year of kindergarten – without having to plan it all out yourself.

This is my 2nd year homeschooling my girls ages 8, 6, 4, and 2. This Kindergarden curriculum sounds like it would be perfect for my 6 year old who expresses herself through creativity and design.
Tracy
I like the idea of not having to plan it all yourself-sounds great for my soon to be Kindergartner!
Ginger
I think this curriculum with its abundance of art and music would be a great fit for my child.
Audrey
This looks like a gentle way for kids to start their homeschool journey. I would choose the first grade curriculum.
Kristi M
I have been following Lavender’s Blue for some time. Their gentle approach to learning through play and creativity and nature would fit well with my children. I would choose the first grade curriculum for my son!
Audrey P
We are new to homeschooling, and I am keen to try a curriculum that is a softer approach (mostly to deschool myself). The first grade curriculum sounds like a good fit for our science-minded yet sensitive lil dude. Thank you!
Southern Gal
My daughter, whom I homeschooled, is now about to embark on her own homeschooling journey. I would love to gift her with the kindergarten curriculum for her girls. Thank you for the chance!

I am new to Waldorf and would love to get a chance at winning the 1st grade curriculum because I have two girls whom I will be homeschooling this upcoming school year and plan on adding Waldorf into our curriculum! Lavenders Blue curriculum set would definitely make it easier for me to transition into! Thanks for the opportunity !
Julie
I have an almost 6 year old boy whom I will be doing K/1st with this fall. This looks like a nice gentle approach for him. Plus it includes some beautiful craftiness which is definitely not my strong area. Thanks so much!
Stacy
My youngest is starting first grade this year. I would love the detailed lesson plans for arts and crafts. This is a great fit for her!
Mandy
1st grade! I think my son would like this 🙂
Lynette
I would love the kindergarten curriculum. I generally don’t do formal kindergarten, but having things laid out in a gentle creative way appeals to me. My five year old would adore lots of crafts and art.
Merridith
I’ve been reading a lot about waldorf education, and am looking to bring more elements into our homeschool. This curriculum seems like just the thing to guide us as I’m learning. Thank you Lavender Blue!
Merridith
And I am interested in the first grade curriculum. Thanks!
Meredith
We’d benefit from the kindergarden set for sure. The littlest of my troops wants to do school stuff too! I like the gentle start looks like Lavenders Blue fits the bill.
Jen
This sounds so wonderful! My daughter is entering first grade and has always loved music. In recent months, her interest in ART has sky-rocketed and I’ve been looking for resourced to encourage her in this new passion. I think this curriculum would be a great fit! Thanks!!
Stephanie Spay
This is my second year of homeschooling my 7 and 4 year old. Last year taught me how important a child’s natural creativity and imagination is to his learning process. We would enjoy the kindergarten curriculum when the time is right!
Wendy
My daughter is very art and music oriented. Waldorf fits very well in our lives right now!
Sharon S.
I have been looking at Lavender’s Blue since I first saw it mentioned on your blog, but have not made the jump. I would love the opportunity to use the First Grade package with my Naomi, who is constantly singing, dancing, drawing, all -around experiencing LIFE! <3 Thank you, for offering this give-away.
Jennifer
We homeschool, and my youngest needs something less “traditional.” This curriculum seems so peaceful and natural. I’d also like to incorporate the handcrafts with all 3 of my children. I would look at the kindergarten materials. Thanks!
Rosemarie
I love the arts and and stories of a Waldorf curriculum. I would choose Kindergarten since in a few years I will need it with Harkin:)

I love this because I’m not good at nurturing creativity in my children but I want to be!
Sylvie Vanderbruggen
My daughter is 5 and expresses herself in a very artistic way. She would not do well with a curriculum focused on academics. Your kindergarten curriculum appeals to me because it seems very respectful of the creative ways and the rhythms of the little ones.
Alice Moncla
My 6 year old daughter would LOVE this approach for her 1st grade year. Handcrafts are a favorite thing of mine. (Fingers and toes are crossed now!)
Amanda Conway
I would love the kindergarten curriculum for my youngest son. He is extremely creative and has a huge imagination. He’s a “color outside the lines” type. 🙂 I believe this would work beautifully with his personality.
Heather
I love the hands-on aspect of a Waldorf curriculum, and I would choose Kindergarten for my youngest.
Whitney
I would love to have the Kindgergarten for my 5- and 6- year olds this year. They are very creative and this would flow nicely for our family. Thank you!
Ashley
I would love to use the first grade curriculum for my youngest who is incredibly creative. Lavender Blue looks like a great fit for her.
Amanda
I believe in the Waldorf method of learning and Lavender Blue looks wonderful! I would be interested in the kindergarden curriculum:)
Ilo Richardson
I have been looking into homeschooling my 5 year old. What I like about lavender’s blue is that it is different than the traditional programs. He will get to learn through play rather than sitting for long periods. And the is fantastic for a 5 year old!
Thanks for offering this giveaway!
Rebecca
There seems to be a strong emphasis on arts. I like a holistic approach.
I think the kindergarten program would be wonderful for my little cutie.
Marissa
This would really help me out in teaching my daughter this year! She would love it! I would be interested in the Kindergarten curriculum. Thanks!
Pam / Hey, Miss Adventures!
I love that Lavender’s Blue Homeschool Curriculum has wonderfully thought activities that could last all 365 days of the year. Keeping the young one busy can be a very difficult task and this is just the solution to it, without having to resort to TV as a babysitter. It’s also a big plus that it focuses on art, too. That’s very rare especially here in the Philippines. And I would really love to get the kindergarten curriculum! 😀

Oh, what a wonderful giveaway! I love Kelly’s Kindergarten curriculum; we used it last year with my daughter for her first K year & will use it this year with my son. I think my favorite thing about this curriculum is that it is so simple: the K curriculum has a circle, a story, a craft, a painting story, and a modeling idea for each week. You can add to it whatever you like, but there isn’t the overwhelm I have found with many other Waldorf-inspired curricula. My children have also enjoyed the circle that creates a story winding around the year, from beginning to end. It’s just so well thought out and put together, it flows together so well, and it is a gentle introduction for the parent, too, into homeschooling a child. xo

I am very intrigued by the holistic approach. I have been sick for a few years and have been diving into a more holistic lifestyle, so I am very intrigued. I would pick the 1st grade since I have one entering first and one entering second. Thanks for the giveaway!
Amanda McCullough
My husband and I are both very creative people, and the ability to begin teaching our children (currently, a 2-year-old girl and an 8-month-old boy) in a manner that is creative, nature-oriented, and sensitive to their development is exactly what we have been looking for. Lavender’s Blue would be an excellent place to start, especially since it helps out a fellow homeschooling family! We would love the Kindergarten curriculum. Thank you for the opportunity to win!
Amy
I would I love this for my upcoming kindergartener. I think she would enjoy this hands on approach to learning.
Gretchen
I have nine children with number ten due early September. I have both a first grader and a kindergartner along with another little one. I have jumped around from curriculum to curriculum since I started homeschooling trying to find something that fit our family for each specific year. We have had some very stressful years and some very good years. However, I am still searching for a curriculum to use this year hoping for something that will be enjoyable and peaceful and this sounds like a great way to go with having a new baby in the house once again. I would love to give it a try.
Lorianne Stogsdill
I love the Montessori approach, and I’m starting my 7 year old on a classical method this year, so this would fit in perfectly for my soon to be 5 year old! I am a strong believer of learning through play.
Jenny
Changing from a corporate career to homeschooling my kids I feel like these curriculum packages would help me with the areas I feel sadly least confident in – nature and play!
Jenny
Oops and I would be most interested in the first grade package ! Thanks
Jess e.
Love the holistic philosophy. Our family would be most excited by the incorporated art lessons. We’d love to try the first grade. Thank you for sharing.
Monique B.
I have been searching for a home-education curriculum that nurtures the whole child and allows for creative exploration. This looks perfect for my daughter entering her 1st grade year. Thank you!

Love the idea of a sweet, gentle, fun approach to learning. My son is 6 years old and a rising 1st grader. This is our first year homeschooling…what an adventure we are about to have!
Layantie persaud
I love the idea of leaning through art, nature, and song. Sounds like a wonderful curriculum!
Betsy
I see this as being a beautiful way for our daughters to express their creative hearts. Learning in a way that they were wired to learn. We would use the first grade curriculum.
Irene
I have been reading Kelly’s blog for some time now, and love her gentle, balanced and holistic approach. The kindergarten curriculum seems like a nice fit for my 5 year old son. Thanks!
Jennifer
My son is entering Kindergarten and loves crafts. However, he gets that from his father, so I need lots of help there and Lavender’s Blue sounds perfect for that.
Jeannette Watt
I home schooled my five eldest children and we had more success when we implemented art. I am going to home school my littlest one now. She is incredibly artistic. I am working on my degree to open a school that implements the arts throughout their learning experiences. I would love to be able to do this for her now.

These curricula are exciting to me because they seem to approach homeschooling in a way very similar to my own philosophies. I’d be interested in the First Grade package.
Jessica
What appeals to me about Lavender’s Blue is, the gentle yet rich way it introduces your little one to these wonderful avenues of learning and play. How the child remains a child and is playfully guided throughout the year! And of course the planned curriculum is a wonderful bonus for a first time homeschooling mom! I would love to have the Kindergarten curriculum! Thank you!
Sunny
I’ve had my eye on lavenders blue for some time! I love the emphasis the curriculum places on authentic learning through play and exploration of art and nature! I would choose the kindergarten curriculum.
Lanelle
I would love the kindergarten curriculum; my son is 5 and my daughter is 3. We are continuing with unschooling, but the Waldorf materials would help us facilitate the natural aspect we want to be prevalent in our lives.
Lori
This is our first year, we start Kindergarten next week ao that would work perfectly. I would love to use this curriculum to spur the creative process for these kids and hopefully make it a fun, relaxed learning environment for our first foray into homeschooling.
Sarah Jean Etheridge
Hi! I would choose the first grade package. I am going through first grade with my third child this year and would love some new inspiration. I especially like all of the included art and drawing samples, the original container story, and the circle time recording! Simply, Sarah Jean
Shaela Haney
I love the holistic, simple, and thorough approach. It would be exciting to win this for my little kindergartner.
Jessica
We are always trying to incorporate nature and the arts into our learning. Lavender’s Blue looks to explore and foster those goals on our family. (And we love the song, “Lavender’s Blue dilly dilly…” Thanks for the info.!
Kristen
I would choose the kindergarten curriculum. I have been considering this curriculum for a while and love that it’s play based and follows a natural evolution.
Isa
I’ve been following Kelly for a while, my boys were in a Waldorf school, and recently we moved, and we will be homeschooling this year, one of me boys will be in 1st grade, other in 3rd, and very soon I will need a kindergarten too for my little one. But for now a first grade curriculum will be lovely to have!! 🙂
Jenny Harwood
This is the first time I’ve heard of Lavender Blue (I’m very new to the homeschool scene – my oldest is 4K), but I love what I’ve seen so far – how creative it is and lots of art ideas, which I think my daughter would love. I would be interested in the Kindergarten curriculum, and winning would be such a blessing for us (and our small budget). Thanks!
Bethany
This curriculum fits quite well with what I have been looking for as I begin homeschooling my child this year. I would choose the kindergarten curriculum.
Marianne
My son is traumatized after attending public school for the first half of his kindergarten year. He used to LOVE to learn, write, and draw, but now just offering him a crayon brings him to meltdown. I managed to struggle through the rest of kindergarten with him at home, but I’d like to try Lavender’s Blue for First Grade because I think it might help my son to heal from what they did to him in public school and recapture his interest and enjoyment in learning and growing his mind.
Megan M.
I love that it is described as “peaceful”. I believe I would be more peaceful if all the planning was already done for me. 🙂 I would choose first grade for my daughter.
Jennifer
I’d love to get a chance to use this curriculum as I feel the gentle rhythms and activities would help my son more than academic based homeschooling.
CW
I think I would choose First Grade because we don’t do a formal kindergarten. I like the emphasis on art.
Wendy
My son is 5 and we are starting ‘kindergarten’ this fall. We are primarily unschoolers, but this curriculum looks like it would be helpful in helping me add in some structure and aspects of the Waldorf philosophy.

My family’s early years were greatly influenced by the Waldorf tradition. Now that I have older children and younger, it would be fun to have a jumpstart back in to that rhythm for the younger. Lavender’s Blue seems to be well organized, but flexible enough to fit into our lives as well. Thanks for the chance. (1st grade, since my little one isn’t quite there, it would be fun to plan ahead a bit and be prepared for next year.)
Joelle
I’ve been looking into Lavendar Blue – I love that it incorporates stories, play and art. My son loves all three things and would thrive in an environment that focused on them. We’d love a Kindergarten package!
Mary
Kindergarten. All the fun, creative learning!
Sarah Partain
My four and a half year old daughter is really anxious and excited to start homeschooling this year. She’s very intelligent and creative. She would absolutely love the kindergarten activities, as would I! I also love that it’s all planned out!!
Andrea
Lavender Blue would give me a peaceful way to introduce the love of learning to my little guy, who is just getting ready for Kindergarden.
Heather Collins
All things nature and nurturing. We love my daughter will be doing more things this year, she is blossoming in all kinds of creativity and knowledge. I can’t wait to see her exploring this type of curriculum. I would choose the kindergarten.
Becky
I’d pick the kindergarten. It seems like such a peaceful curriculum!
Stacy
What a great looking Waldorf curriculum! We would use the Kindergarten plan this year.
sarahlvenn
This looks like such a peaceful and imaginative curriculum. This is how I envision homeschooling my Kindergartener.
Heather Joy Pitamber
I have always heard that in our district the kindergarten is a beautifully nurturing place, where the arts and handicrafts take center stage for students’ learning. I have also heard that all of that changes when kids “graduate” up to the first grade. At that point, students stay in their seats for the majority of the day, completing worksheet after worksheet, preparing for the state’s standardized tests. This change is so sad to me, and I would be so grateful for another alternative for my sensitive son. Thank you for offering this giveaway! May it bless the family that needs it the most!
Hannah Fischer
Lavender Blue (Waldorf style) learning appeals because of it’s emphasis on art based learning. Art is very important in our household!
Mami2jcn
I love the emphasis on art and song. I would choose kindergarten for my daughter.
Chris
I’d pick the first grade. We’ve been trying to find our way in terms of our homeschool approach and this sounds like something my daughter would enjoy. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
Jenna
This is exactly the gentle approach I want to have for schooling. I tried classical approach and my oldest lost his desire for trying. He just want to do everything “correct”. He is starting 1st grade and I have put together different pieces I other curriculums, but it would be nice to have one cohesive curriculum especially waldor inspired! Thanks for the opportunity!
Alyssa Yoder
Lavender Blue inspires me to hone in on my ability to educate my childs mind and soul through creative play. We are starting Kindergarten now and I would love to have this gift!! Thank you for the encouragement and the opportunity!
Bethany
I am interested by the holistic approach to schooling and would love to try something new than what we have been doing. I would like the 1st grade package. Thanks for the opportunity!
Heather M
Love that it is gentle and simple! I would love to try the 1st grade one.
Jenny
I have an incoming first grader this year. He will be our third to homeschool and I’ve found its always fun for child and Mama to add some “just new for you” books and activities into the homeschool day. Keeps things interesting!
Daniele
Last year was our first year homeschooling and I, as a teacher, learned quite a lot. One thing I learned was how much more my children want to learn and how much they enjoy learning when I incorporate art into our lessons! It is actually easier to follow a step by step lesson like most curriculums, but planning lessons around around art can be time consuming and can take a lot of patience. When I read about the Lavender ‘s Blue home school program, I thought it would be the perfect cirriculum especially for my youngest who has a sensitive personality, but a constant desire to learn when shown care and interest and that’s how children are. They just have to be guided while exploring their world and I feel this homeschool program will help us to do just that.
Juliaeo
I love everything I’ve read about Kelly through her website and interviews; her manner really resonates. I’ve been wanting to buy the kindergarten curriculum for awhile, and would be so grateful to win it!
Dulcie Blackburn
I love the simple, holistic approach of Lavender’s Blue. It just feels right. We are on a tight budget, but have tried to incorporate some of the ideas at home on our own. I would love to win the first grade curriculum for my daughter.

Hello Kelly/Jamie, Love all your homeschooling wisdom. Thank you to you both.
I love the clarity and ease of Lavender’s Blue Curriculum. It’s straightforward, complete, and has an air of welcome breeziness to it that makes me feel I can stop the searching and researching for more and more resources and that I have found what I need. It’s a curriculum that I resonate with. Looking forward to First Grade with Lavender’s Blue. Thanks.
Michelle bergeron
What I love about this curriculum is the peace, the idea of going outside to love and learn nature and all that it has to offer. I would choose kindergarden curriculum please, thank you.
Michele Villano
I’ve been following Lavender Blue for a while now. I love the Waldorf based curriculum. My youngest is entering into public kindergarten this month, and I am completely open to the possibility that he may thrive better in a homeschool setting… So, I would pick the kindergarten curriculum.

I love the simple, holistic approach of Lavender’s Blue. It just feels right. We are on a tight budget and have tried to incorporate some of the projects and ideas at home on our own, but I would love to win the first grade curriculum for my daughter.
Frances Girling
Being a homeschool mom inspired by the waldorf way I am always looking for new curriculums to integrate into my child’s education. I made the step to homeschool my daughter because I wanted her education to be a unique and inspiring journey. The waldorf curriculum by lavendar blue offers many unique touches to creating a warm and present journey in education. I like the daily rhythms they map out for you as well as the integration of fairy tales and unique handwork project. Teaching kids not only a valuable education but real life tasks and goals. I would choose the first grade curriculum, as my daughter is entering first grade!
Meridith
I love the emphasis on art and creativity! We will be starting first grade.
Marci Hart
I would choose the K curriculum. I am really impressed with the gentle approach to learning. Very hands on too!
Kelli
I have already used a lot of Lavender’s Blue’s material in my home that I’ve gathered off the website. It’s fantastic. Her series on rhythm is amazing. What appeals to me most is the organization of the materials and ideas. She’s done all the work for me? Yes, please! I would get the 1st grade curriculum, I think…I’m still on the fence about it though and May change my mind if I win ha!
Beth Flumignan
I love the focus and creativity involved–as I am an artist myself. I would choose the kindergarten curriculum.
Amanda Hauke
I love the open ended creative outlet! I love art, and it is a wonderful way to express one’s self. Add in nature-based Waldorf and i see a winner! 🙂 I would choose the kindergarten package. Thank you!
Laura
I love the focus on rhythm and circle time. This is something that I want to work on this year. I would choose the kindergarten curriculum.
Lynn Y
Love the creative focus, I would choose 1st grade
Holly
I would choose the kindergarten curriculum as I am about to embark on my first year of homeschooling my 5 year old son. The Lavendar’s Blue program is the kind of holistic, Waldorf-inspired, and secular curriculum I am hoping to bring into our home and lives. It is so appealing to me that Kelly has synthesized all these crafts, songs, and lessons into one program so that I can spend less time searching Pinterest and printing out calendars and more time painting peg people, singing songs and just playing and discovering alongside my children (I also have a 3-year-old daughter). I also love Kelly’s joyful/no-guilt approach. I know I will want to hold these feelings in the forefront of my heart as I approach this first year, as I am certain it is the path to enjoying one another while learning.
Laura
I would choose the kindergarten package. I have a 5 yo and a 3.5 year old, and I have one child who likes circle time activities and the other who likes arts and crafts, so there is something for each of them!
Maria
I love its holistic approach to education. I would pick the kindergarten curriculum. Thanks!
tracy criswell

I love the creative approach, and the adaptability. I would choose the kindergarten version.
Rebecca brewer
I love the holistic approach and I feel like that is what I do naturally with my girls. However, having this curriculum would just help inspire me and keep me on the right track without getting distracted by the different methods and skills they need to learn. I would definitely choose the kindergarten level. Thanks for the opportunity!
Erika Woon
My daughter has been attending a farm school for the last 2 years, and is a very creative free-spirit. She loves nature based learning & I am looking forward to using Lavender Blue. We will be doing the Kindergarten program this year, whether we win this drawing or not, but the free curriculum would be fantastic! 🙂
Bess
I would adore the first grade package for my son now, and for my daughters when they’re older. It is obvious how much love and detail have gone into Kelly’s work. Radiantly beautiful and full of joy!

Haidee DeLuca
We would love the kindergarten package! I love the gentle, slow manner of this program. And I love that it has a plan for all of the activities, verses, circle time, etc. I have learned so much from the Lavenders Blue blog and know that the curriculum will be fantastic!
Kathryn
The products look fun, colorful and engaging! I would love to win the kindergarten package! Thank you so much for the chance!
Tara
We’re trying homeschool for the first time this year and my youngest is Kindergarten age. She is very creative and imaginative and this curriculum seems like it would be a perfect fit. Also, I’d love to have a tried and true curriculum to start out with in our first year!
Brenda
I would choose the kindergarten curriculum. I wrote our own preschool lessons but would like to incorporate more nature and variety of crafts into our kindergarten lessons.
Melanie
This looks like the perfect way to draw our family into an approach that I know in my heart is best. I’ve always been big on creating and nurturing life long learners, but I also get sucked into the unfortunate brainwashing that tells me I will fail my kids if I don’t do enough teaching with mainstream methods. I would absolutely love to try the first grade curriculum.
Alexis
Both of our children are extremely creative and cannot sit still for longer than a couple minutes, unless they are creating something with paint, glitter, etc… One of the many reasons we decided to homeschool was because our son shuts down in a traditional school setting (he convinced his teachers that he couldn’t speak and he would sit in the corner the whole time making shapes using the trains). Our daughter is 3 but operating on a much higher level; she is also the most nurturing child I have ever seen. She has been labeled a “problem” in some settings because she is so concerned about others she has a hard time sitting still and focusing. This program seems to meet their needs for self-expression, exploration, intellectual stimulation, etc…
Sarah Moulding
What appeals to me about Lavender’s blue is the focus upon the beauty of God’s creation, highlighting the gems which are often so difficult to spot when living in a concrete jungle. If I were to win I would choose the first grade package.
Lisa Fox
Thanks for the giveaway! I love the play and nature based focus of the Lavender’s Blue curriculum. I would choose Kindergarten for my almost 5 year old. 🙂
ruth davis
As I am as hands on and artistic as possible in teaching and tutoring…this curriculum is a great addition to what I already try to do with each of my scholars.
Renee W
I love the way the curriculum is set up! I would use the 1st grade set. Thanks!
Christine
I would choose the K, and would love to try Waldorf-inspired homeschooling.
Sue
I have been interested in the Waldorf approach for sometime. My two boys aged 2 & 4 seem to come alive in nature and it has a calming effect on them. I would love the Kindergarten curriculum. Thanks 🙂
Katie
I would pick first grade. This seems like a great first homeschool experience; creative, flexible, and child focused!
Leah C
I’d love to win the kindergarten curriculum package! The philosophy of a holistic education makes so much sense to me. It seems that to take this approach in educating my child would further encourage her love of learning rather than turn learning into a chore.
Thanks for the opportunity!
Amber Parker
We have tried Oak Meadow curriculum in the past, while I loved it, I’m just not feeling it for my daughter. I love the looks of this. Beautiful. I would choose first grade.
Meghan
Would love the kindergarten curriculum for my son. I need to find more things for him to help strengthen his hands.

I am currently in the trenches of planning out first grade for my darling, sensitive, magical eldest daughter. This curriculum sounds so compatible with the Waldorf-inspired loving home atmosphere for education I want to create – and if I won it, I would be able to focus more on her and less on planning. We would want 1st grade. 🙂 Thank you for telling us about this curriculum!
Dahlia O'Neil
I love the nature inspired, holistic approach for my creative son. He will be in Kindergarten this fall.
Carli D.
I found this curriculum a few weeks ago and it is absolutely beautiful. I love the creative and natural approach to learning. It will be a perfect fit for us. I would choose first grade. ♡
Casey
I would love the kindergarten set!! 🙂 I love the natural, holistic approach of this curriculum, as well as nurturing the whole child 🙂
Sheila Gamble
I love the hands in learning experience! Little ones should b allowed to create, play, and explore in their homeschool! I think my Kindergartener would absolutely love this curriculum!
Robin Carter
I love the arts and crafts. I would love the kindergarten set.
Collette
I would love the first grade set!! We have just started homeschooling and I love the use of art, stories, songs, and projects this set offers. I love that this curriculum focuses on educating the whole child and not intellect alone.
Mandy
Love the gentle, nature-inspired creativity and would choose the K.
Vero Castillo
This is the first year I will be starting homeschool. What I like is the holistic aproach, It’s just what I was looking for and not having to plan everything because with my 5, 4 and 2 year olds time is a bit short ;D
Thank you for the opportunity , God bless you.
Aleah
I love the holistic approach, as it fits right in to our life style.
Emma Pauna
I think this curriculum is made so that the kids will love to learn. Learning will be like something they will enjoy. What more could a mom wish for her kids? 🙂 I would choose this for my grade 1 daughter!
Erin
I like that it is a creative approach to learning. I would love the kindergarten package!
kristi
It’s such a gentle approach and seems very soul-nourishing. I would choose the K.
Sophie
I love the Waldorf approach to learning so this curriculum appeals to me greatly! I have a second and a fourth grader this coming year… but I would love the K curriculum for when our last child gets to that stage (he’s only 2 now)!
Kaylie
I love the Waldorf format but this next year will be my first with a Kindergardener so I would love some gentle guidance for this first year, Lavender’s Blue would be perfect for that!

I love that it fosters the creativity and love for imagination that my son already has! I would love the kindergarten package!
Frieda Thurman
I’ve looked at Lavender’s Blue curriculum before and thought it was absolutely beautiful! I think it’s a wonderful way for children to learn rather than textbooks and worksheets. I would choose the kindergarten curriculum.
Regina
I love Waldorf! I would choose the 1st grade.
Laura Walthew
I love the Waldorf emphasis on nurturing the imagination, and on nature. We have been attending summer camp at our local Waldorf school but we home school during the year, so this would be great. My daughter is in the first grade now.
Amanda
I will have a kindergartener and first grader this year, so I would go with the first grade curriculum. I love the style – and (as a busy homeschooling mom) like that it’s already all pulled together (as now I create everything for us from scratch)
Steph
I love the gentle approach and that it’s all planned out. I would choose Kindergarten.

I have been spying Lavender Blue curriculum for a while. I work hard to keep my boys surrounded by nature, routine, and hands on learning. Lavender Blue seems fits all these areas. I’d be most interested in the 1st grade curriculum.
Andrea
I have been following Kelly’s blog for a while and I love the gentle, engaging ideas she pits forth. Her approach is not intimidating and I never feel bad about not bring “waldorfy” enough. I would choose grade one as that is the grade my eldest daughter is moving into this year. Thanks!
Andrea
Puts not pits and being not bring – darn iphone 🙁
Christina B.
I think it would be a gentle way to celebrate the rhythms of the seasons with my kids!
Brittany Camburn
My daughter is 4 years old, and her one true love, is to color. She wakes up, heads straight to a blank sheet of paper, and whatever coloring utensils she can find. I would love to be able to show her that she can learn so much by doing what she loves. What I want most for my children is for them to be inspired to be themselves, to keep their interest, and love of learning for life. This will be my first year homeschooling her, and my main reasoning is exactly what Lavender Blue stands for. I don’t feel that sitting in a classroom is what my child will excel at, she loves to play, pretend, color, and express herself freely. Gabriella would flourish with a curriculum such as this one, we would like the Kindergarten curriculum. Thank you!
Bethany
This would be wonderful! My youngest is getting ready to start kindergarten in the fall. Thanks!
Leslie
Grade one, appreciate the “not like school” style.
Bev
My grandchildren are homeschooled and this package appears to be just what they could use. I would like the 1st grade content.
Karrie
I love how fun and natural it makes learning.. for both patent and child! I would choose first grade.
Amy
I love Waldorf & this curriculum would be a perfect fit for our homeschool. I would choose the kindergarten curriculum. Thanks for the give away!

I love the gentle approach to teaching. Woorksheets are boring and overrated. I’d choose first grade.
Emily C.
I’d love the first grade package to gently encourage my child’s creativity.
Kadonna
I appreciate that it’s Waldorf-inspired and encourages creativity. I would choose the Kindergarten program. Thanks.
Desria
We already use Oak Meadow for our eldest daughter so this would be awesome for our youngest daughter.
Courtney
This method is innate and appeals to the way children are hardwired to learn. I would choose the 1st grade curriculum if chosen. Thank you!
Corinne
Love the gentleness it promotes, kindergarten would be my pick!
Danyelle
I’d love to use this with my kindergartener, she responds best to hands-on learning.
Teresa
I would like to start homeschooling my first grader this year – this seems like a great approach.
Lindsey Williamson
A wholistic, creative approach to kindergarten fits right in with our family! I’d love to use the K program for my youngest 3 over the next few years!
Anna Eccles
This year I am starting to HS my kindergartener and continuing our 3rd year of homeschooling with my 3rd grader. We were following a classical approach but after a lot of research and just seeing what inspires my kids this year we will be trying the Waldorf curriculum.
Thank you.
Gina
First of all, I would pick kindergarten curriculum. I love that it is more of an organic learning instead of being one of those forced academic curriculum like many other out there.
Tanya
Having the audio files for the songs is soon helpful when you’re learning the songs for the first time. I also look forward to the creative parts to help me along 😉
Natalie Bush
I love Lavender Blue’s holistic, gentle & natural approach to educating young minds. My daughter adores crafts, nature, singing, reading. The Kindergarten Curriculum would be perfect for her. Thanks for the opportunity to win this amazing curriculum!
Noelle B
I have downloaded the free sample from Lavender Blue and absolutely LOVE the audio sample. What a wonderful gift to help those of us who don’t have a musical background, to bring music into our home and schooling! I would love the kinder curriculum.
Jessica
I love play-based learning. I find it is the way kids learn best.
Robin Mosley
I love this style of education, especially for my daughter who doesn’t retain much when using traditional workbooks. She will be a first grader this year and she would love this program.
Jessica
This is the first year I will be starting homeschool. I appreciate the creativity aspect of this curriculum and the added bonus of not having to plan everything because I have a 5 yr old, 3 yr old and newborn!
Megan L.
I have a sweet, crafty little girl. And I’m a mama who isn’t so crafty! So this gentle, fun curriculum looks great! I would love to incorporate it into our Kindergarten year!
Callie T
I am Waldorf Trained for Early Childhood and am going to be Homeschooling. The First Grade Curriculum would be perfect to help me get a handle on starting the Grades adventure with my son.
Steph
The emphasis on nature appeals to me and I would choose first grade for my 6yo who we did K with last year.
Aundrea
I am a former teacher an do not want my children to learn the public school way. We feel strongly connected to the natural world that surrounds us and I want to explore learning through that connection. I would love to try the kindergarten curriculum. Also, my husband works for state parks and I will not be working now. Free is the only way we could try this curriculum, but we would do great justice by spreading word about your product to other homeschool families in the area.
Devorah Lowenstein
I love the emphasis on nature, art and music.
Dulcinea Wallace
My son is very creative. He loves drawing and making things. He also loves nature and growing plants from seeds. He does not like learning facts and figures in a traditional way, but through exploring. I think the first grade curriculum would be a great fit for him.
Sarah K
I love the handcraft focus. They look fun and age-appropriate, without being throwaway crafty junk. I would choose Kinder for my youngest.
Amelia Ball
I love how creative and holistic this is! We are a very holistic family, raising our children on a farm and I would love to incorporate this into our homeschool! I would love to have the 1st grade curriculum for my son this year.
Jill
I love the Waldorf way of school and saw first hand how my sister in law blossomed in a waldorf school. I would be honored to use the 1st grade program if chosen!
Jeanna
I would enjoy trying out a new approach to homeschooling this year, and this sounds pretty great. I would want the first grade set.
candy
I love how songs are incorporated into the lessons and how it is a “whole” approach to learning, not just the “book” learning! I would choose the 1st grade curriculum. Thanks so much for the chance 🙂
Abby
I love the gentle approach, and having all of the planning right in front of me. I would choose 1st grade.
Amy
I love the whole child approach. So much emphasis is put on achievement and early learning these days. I like that Lavender Blue meets the child where they are and respects their developmental stages appropriately. I would choose the 1st grade curriculum for my twins! Thanks!
Daria Schroeder
Lavender Blue Waldorf style curriculum is just what my 6 year old would resonate with. Soulful, colorful, innocent and deeply connected to our previous Earth. I would appreciate the 1 st grade curriculum for our Emilia Bedilia, Thank you
larissa
I love the gentleness, simplicity and creativity of waldorf in general and blue lavendar specifically! But my budget does not allow purchasing much curriculum, so I usually hodge podge and create my own. This year, with a new baby due beginning of October, and 4 kids to homeschool prek-5th gd, it would be SO helpful to have some ready made plans/projects set before me to implement, this school year! Thanks for a chance at that! 🙂
Samantha D
I love the holistic style learning of Lavender’s Blue. And I’d love the Kindergarten curriculum.
Nicole Simpson
I love the holistic approach! I would choose the kindergarten set.
sara
As an early childhood educator, Waldorf and Montessori were always among my favorite philosophies. As a mother, that holds true. My daughter would benefit from the kindergarten curriculum right now. As a first time homeschooler to 4 I need all the help I can get!
Courtney Rodgers
I love all the artwork that is included. This is a weak point for me, and I could use the planning help. I am interested for Kindergarten.
Amber
Please pick me! I would love the first grade curriculum to teach my daughters using the whole child philosophy, not just rote repetition through worksheets and flashcards. Thank you for this opportunity. I am a busy stay at home mom who would not have this marvelous chance otherwise.
Addie
I love that Lavender Blue is so freely structured, but she’s taken the guesswork out of crafts and stories that work together. I would love to use her kindergarten for my two boys this next year.

We went on tours of Waldorf schools and my heart wanted so badly to let our kids play and explore there all day, but the price tag made me choke on my gum! Trying to recreate the school at home is the next best thing, but it’s hard to find a starting place. A friend showed me a book she had from Lavender’s Blue and it looks like a perfect fit! It’s everything I need (as a new-to-the-game, but oh-so-in-love-with Waldorf-er) to guide my girls into the world of learning through natural rhythms and wonder without worrying that I’m missing something! First grade curriculum would be amazing!
Melissa Pauquette
I love the idea of starting our first year of homeschooling with this awesome Waldorf curriculum. It sounds like a great, holistic approach to learning. We would pick the kindergarten curriculum.
Rebecca
I love the whole child, gentle approach.
Becky
I love that it focus more on the whole child. My son isn’t adept at traditional academic skills, but still wants and needs to learn & grow. This would be perfect!

I love the Waldorf approach and like this curriculum’s completeness. I would get the grade 1 for my daughter.

Sarah
Kindy! I’m he schooling because I want my kids to have a different experience in school than I did, and her goals sound very similar to my own.
Rachel
This curriculum looks like so much fun. I’d love to try it in the first grade, for my daughter. I’ve been looking at ways to incorporate Waldorf philosophies into our schooling and daily lives.

This curriculum looks to be just what we need! Children need creativity incorporated into every day, and I’m looking for a curriculum that can help me to teach my 6 yr. old the importance of imagination. We’d assuredly benefit from the 1st grade package. <3
Amanda German
Lavender Blue gives parents a chance to teach their littles while allowing their free spirits to thrive. It reminds me, as a mom, to play too! I would request the kindergarten curriculum. Thanks!!!
Chris
Waldorf and/or Montessori homeschooling based systems seems the perfect way to go for kindergartner. I would love to homeschool my child with the help of LB Kindergarten materials. We already teach him through play, nature and songs so continuing on the same path seems the right choice.

alena sherman
My family has decided last minute that homeschooling is something we feel is right for our family/children. We have been scouring and trying to group things together as best as we can. We are first timers and our oldest is starting Kindergarten, we came across this curriculum and we were interested
in it’s method and excited about the fact that it
would fit our child’s style of learning and that it would be extremely manageable and easy to use as
parents/teachers. We love that it’s seasonally appropriate and incorporates many learning opportunities/ possibilities in everyday life.
Jennifer Clary
We are first time homeschoolers starting Kibdergarten. I have always loved the intuitive, holistic, joyful style of Waldorf schooling and am particularly intrigued by Lavender’s Blue as it looks like someone remembered everything they found enchanting and inspiring in their early school days and used that to create these whimsical curriculum packages.
Tamara A
I like the open ended creativity and learning that can grow from this type of curriculum. I would choose first grade. Thanks!
Kaylene
I would love the opportunity to work with your First Grade curriculum. Our little guy has been extensively bullied in his first 6 months at public school and we have had to take him out to try to nuture him at home. He loves to learn but has some learning difficulties and the hands on approach would suit him so well. I have 2 other children under 2 and work as well so having a ready made curriculum that I can follow but know our boy can grow with would be amazing! Thank you!
Flora
I love the art and nature-related aspects of this curriculum. The detailed instructions make this type of schooling so much more accessible for a busy family. I would be excited to explore the kindergarten one with my son.
Morganne Bryan
I’ve drooled over the lavender curriculum for a long time as it just seems so practical, easy to follow and beautiful. I’ve been trying to follow. A waldorf style of learning for my 6 year old but it would save me(and my kids) a lot of stress if I had a the lavender first grade curriculum to follow.
jennifer
I have a little guy who struggles with “school” and Lavender’s Blue would provide the hands on, engaging environment he needs to want to learn but in a way that doesn’t push him into a box or force him into a mold created for another. If I could choose one I would choose the first grade package. It is so wonderful to have a chance at something like this.
Wendy
I love that this approach nurtures the whole child! I’d use the Kindergarten program.
Marin
I’ve been reading Kelly’s site the past couple of weeks and have been thinking more and more that this may be the curriculum for us. I’d love to win it! We’d use the kindergarten one.
Nichole
Lavender’s Blue appeals to me because it is not only a beautiful resource for home education, but it also combines peaceful parenting which is much needed for the homeschooling parents. The Waldorf-inspired curriculum seems complete with the many different aspects all apart of it. I love how the curriculum is seasonally divided and can be tailored to the specific needs of a family. Appreciate the giveaway 🙂

I like how this curriculum is age appropriate, and planned out circle times sound like a lot of fun! We would use the Grade 1 curriculum.
Sara
My son, whom we adopted, had experienced a lot of trauma in his life. The Waldorf approach is the best avenue to offer education in a gentle way to help counter the chaos of his earlier years of life. The joy of being able to homeschool him (1st grade) is a life long dream come true. While I know it is true of all children, the greatest joy I have found in adoption thus far, is the complete surprise as my son grows and develops before my eyes. Particularly, since he is adopted, I have no pre-conceived notions of what he will be like or who he will be come. He just is. Waldorf supports that in a way that is unparalleled in the field of child development.
Elisabeth
I love how detailed the curriculum seems to be and at the same time there is a beautiful simplicity to it, as well. We would love first grade.
Jenny
I love that it is all laid out, that it is Waldorf style and that it looks FUN! I would choose kinder.

Erin Bergen
I’m excited to start homeschool – and this looks like such a fun and simple way to start! I would choose the Kindergarten as we are just entering the school age =)
bryn randolph
Thanks for your fantastic giveaway opportunities!
Kelly’s curriculum design is beautifully presented. Her pictures alone have provided many ideas and much support along my homeschooling journey. When I first played one of her verses for my daughters, 3 and 7, they literally stopped in their tracks! (Why don’t they do that with my singing?!)
I worked with my (very resistant) 6 year old last year with the Christopherus 1st grade curriculum and it was challenging for us.
I’ve since purchased Kelly’s kinder curriculum to use with my younger daughter when she’s of age. I already can use the music and some of the art with both girls. Now I’m contemplating purchasing Kelly’s 1st grade to re-work with my eldest some of the tough spots we hit last year…(And of course I’ll have it for the younger in a few years.)
I’ve been on the fence on how to proceed this year since Christopherus just did not resonate for my 6 year old. Everyone is telling me she’s a “concrete learner”, (whatever that means!), and encouraging me to start her on math workbooks (!?) and the like. Sighhhh…And now it’s August and I suppose I need to make some decisions….And did I mention that I’m an Unschooler at heart? Waldorf philosophies have so inspired me that I’m determined to make this a part of our lives.
That’s more of “my story”, than “my comment”, isn’t it.
Thanks for all Simple Homeschool and Lavender Blue!
best, bryn
Michele Cherie
Lavender Blue seems to have a lovely emphasis on hands-on activities using natural materials. My daughter and I would love to try the kindergarten curriculum materials as we start to homeschool. Thank you for the chance!
Bethany
We start Kindergarten in one week exactly and this sounds like a perfect match to the way I have things planned. This would be a great addition to our first homeschooling year!
Megan G.
Since I first heard about Waldorf, Kelly’s website has been one of my go-to resources for implementing Waldorf in my home with my four boys, and now as I am weeks away from beginning homeschooling my oldest, I would love to have the support of her whole-child curriculum. I’d love either grade but would prefer (slightly!) the kindergarten curriculum. Thank you!
Miet
My daughter will be 4 in a few weeks, so the Kindergarten curriculum would be perfect for her. I’ve always been interested by the Waldorf philosophy, but I’m not familiar with the songs and stories. I love that this curriculum includes audio for all the songs!

Jamie kruger
I love the holistic approach. My new kindergartener would be thrilled.
Sarah
We have a 5 year old that we decided to home school. The Waldorf approach has always appealed to me and I’ve done a lot of reading and learning about it. I have just recently come across Lavender Blues website and have been contemplating buying the kindergarten curriculum to get an idea of how it can work and flow instead of starting from scratch. Lavender Blues website is beautifully presented and I can imagine the curriculum would be just as beautiful…so when I saw this today, I was very excited, so thank you!
Nicole Z.

I love that this curriculum is based in nature, in real life, in those things that we used to all live and take for granted. It’s organic. It fits my personality and that of my upcoming kindergartner. I would choose the kindergarten curriculum.
Cynthia
Love the idea of a curriculum that uses play, song, nature, etc. I am not sure which one I would get as I have kids in both grades this year.

I love that it encompasses so many aspects to it and I really love that it includes, art, music, and so mnay areas where I am lacking in creativity to inspire my kids. I would choose first grade.

I love the crafts and the layout. I would choose Kindergarten! 🙂
Magdalene
Lavender’s Blue is wonderful because there is no push to learn spelling & sight words in the first year of school – I love that! We are just starting out, so beginning kindergarten with Lavender’s Blue would be simply lovely.
Julie
Wow Jamie and Kelly, what an amazing offer!!!
I’m definitely looking for a holistic homeschooling method that works beyond mere intelligence, and reaches to the soul of my son to nuture a healthy interaction with life and learning.
I love the feel that your Kindergarten Curriculum has – that lovely wholesome, warm feeling of home baked goodness.
I would really benefit from having your experience and well crafted curriculum to follow, as my schooling was very ‘brains’ based and shallow, and it’s taking me time to have the paradigm shift that I need to embrace this approach.
I love how you have laid it out to be as ‘mumma’ friendly as possible, which would really help me as I also have another son with special needs. So all time savers are precious, and having started doing my own research I see how much time is involved to put something like this together. ALOT+!
Thanks again for this competition offer, and blessings to you both and everyone else keen to take this approach.
If we were to win, we’d love to embrace the Kindergarten Curriculum.
Robin
I would appreciate the Lavendar Blue Kindergarten curr. because this is my last child of 4 entering homeschool, and the curriculum I’ve used so far seems too difficult and lacks hands on learning as the emphasis. I would appreciate the alternative option for this year.
Kristen suderman
I would choose the kindergarten curriculum as this is our first year homeschooling. One of the main reasons I decided to homeschool was my daughters love for art and nature and to be able to have a curriculum that strives for that would be amazing. I would then also be able to use it for my son when it was his turn for kindergarten.
heather wright
I would like the 1st grade or kindy??? about to himeschool as school just isnt doing it for my babies x
Mackenzie
I would like the kindergarten. First time homeschooling twins that are 3.
Utibe
What appeals to me most about Lavender’s Blue curriculum is its holistic nature. Before my daughter was born I knew I wanted to homeschool, I want to give her the opportunity to learn differently, to love learning, love playing and love nature because everything is connected. We learn best when we involve our spirit, mind and body. Living in Nigeria, I don’t think she will have that opportunity going to a regular school environment. This curriculum would be a great blessing to both of us as we start our first kindergarten homeschooling year.
