This is my second year of homeschooling my 7 and 4 year old. Last year taught me how important a child’s natural creativity and imagination is to his learning process. We would enjoy the kindergarten curriculum when the time is right!

I love this because I’m not good at nurturing creativity in my children but I want to be!
My daughter is 5 and expresses herself in a very artistic way. She would not do well with a curriculum focused on academics. Your kindergarten curriculum appeals to me because it seems very respectful of the creative ways and the rhythms of the little ones.
My 6 year old daughter would LOVE this approach for her 1st grade year. Handcrafts are a favorite thing of mine. (Fingers and toes are crossed now!)
I would love the kindergarten curriculum for my youngest son. He is extremely creative and has a huge imagination. He’s a “color outside the lines” type. 🙂 I believe this would work beautifully with his personality.

I have been looking into homeschooling my 5 year old. What I like about lavender’s blue is that it is different than the traditional programs. He will get to learn through play rather than sitting for long periods. And the is fantastic for a 5 year old!

I love that Lavender’s Blue Homeschool Curriculum has wonderfully thought activities that could last all 365 days of the year. Keeping the young one busy can be a very difficult task and this is just the solution to it, without having to resort to TV as a babysitter. It’s also a big plus that it focuses on art, too. That’s very rare especially here in the Philippines. And I would really love to get the kindergarten curriculum! 😀

Oh, what a wonderful giveaway! I love Kelly’s Kindergarten curriculum; we used it last year with my daughter for her first K year & will use it this year with my son. I think my favorite thing about this curriculum is that it is so simple: the K curriculum has a circle, a story, a craft, a painting story, and a modeling idea for each week. You can add to it whatever you like, but there isn’t the overwhelm I have found with many other Waldorf-inspired curricula. My children have also enjoyed the circle that creates a story winding around the year, from beginning to end. It’s just so well thought out and put together, it flows together so well, and it is a gentle introduction for the parent, too, into homeschooling a child. xo

I am very intrigued by the holistic approach. I have been sick for a few years and have been diving into a more holistic lifestyle, so I am very intrigued. I would pick the 1st grade since I have one entering first and one entering second. Thanks for the giveaway!
My husband and I are both very creative people, and the ability to begin teaching our children (currently, a 2-year-old girl and an 8-month-old boy) in a manner that is creative, nature-oriented, and sensitive to their development is exactly what we have been looking for. I have nine children with number ten due early September. I have both a first grader and a kindergartner along with another little one. I have jumped around from curriculum to curriculum since I started homeschooling trying to find something that fit our family for each specific year. We have had some very stressful years and some very good years. However, I am still searching for a curriculum to use this year hoping for something that will be enjoyable and peaceful and this sounds like a great way to go with having a new baby in the house once again. I would love to give it a try.
I love the Montessori approach, and I’m starting my 7 year old on a classical method this year, so this would fit in perfectly for my soon to be 5 year old! I am a strong believer of learning through play.

My son is entering Kindergarten and loves crafts. However, he gets that from his father, so I need lots of help there and Lavender’s Blue sounds perfect for that.
I home schooled my five eldest children and we had more success when we implemented art. I am going to home school my littlest one now. She is incredibly artistic. I am working on my degree to open a school that implements the arts throughout their learning experiences. I would love to be able to do this for her now.

I’ve been following Kelly for a while, my boys were in a Waldorf school, and recently we moved, and we will be homeschooling this year, one of me boys will be in 1st grade, other in 3rd, and very soon I will need a kindergarten too for my little one. This curriculum fits quite well with what I have been looking for as I begin homeschooling my child this year. I would choose the kindergarten curriculum.
My son is traumatized after attending public school for the first half of his kindergarten year. He used to LOVE to learn, write, and draw, but now just offering him a crayon brings him to meltdown. I managed to struggle through the rest of kindergarten with him at home, but I’d like to try Lavender’s Blue for First Grade because I think it might help my son to heal from what they did to him in public school and recapture his interest and enjoyment in learning and growing his mind.
I love that it is described as “peaceful”. I believe I would be more peaceful if all the planning was already done for me. 🙂 I would choose first grade for my daughter.

This looks like such a peaceful and imaginative curriculum. This is how I envision homeschooling my Kindergartener.
I have always heard that in our district the kindergarten is a beautifully nurturing place, where the arts and handicrafts take center stage for students’ learning. I have also heard that all of that changes when kids “graduate” up to the first grade. At that point, students stay in their seats for the majority of the day, completing worksheet after worksheet, preparing for the state’s standardized tests. This change is so sad to me, and I would be so grateful for another alternative for my sensitive son. Thank you for offering this giveaway! May it bless the family that needs it the most!

This is exactly the gentle approach I want to have for schooling. I tried classical approach and my oldest lost his desire for trying. He just want to do everything “correct”. I have an incoming first grader this year. He will be our third to homeschool and I’ve found its always fun for child and Mama to add some “just new for you” books and activities into the homeschool day. Keeps things interesting!
Last year was our first year homeschooling and I, as a teacher, learned quite a lot. One thing I learned was how much more my children want to learn and how much they enjoy learning when I incorporate art into our lessons! It is actually easier to follow a step by step lesson like most curriculums, but planning lessons around around art can be time consuming and can take a lot of patience. When I read about the Lavender ‘s Blue home school program, I thought it would be the perfect cirriculum especially for my youngest who has a sensitive personality, but a constant desire to learn when shown care and interest and that’s how children are. They just have to be guided while exploring their world and I feel this homeschool program will help us to do just that.
I love everything I’ve read about Kelly through her website and interviews; her manner really resonates. I’ve been wanting to buy the kindergarten curriculum for awhile, and would be so grateful to win it!

Being a homeschool mom inspired by the waldorf way I am always looking for new curriculums to integrate into my child’s education. I made the step to homeschool my daughter because I wanted her education to be a unique and inspiring journey. The waldorf curriculum by lavendar blue offers many unique touches to creating a warm and present journey in education. I would choose the kindergarten curriculum as I am about to embark on my first year of homeschooling my 5 year old son. The Lavendar’s Blue program is the kind of holistic, Waldorf-inspired, and secular curriculum I am hoping to bring into our home and lives. It is so appealing to me that Kelly has synthesized all these crafts, songs, and lessons into one program so that I can spend less time searching Pinterest and printing out calendars and more time painting peg people, singing songs and just playing and discovering alongside my children (I also have a 3-year-old daughter). I also love Kelly’s joyful/no-guilt approach. I know I will want to hold these feelings in the forefront of my heart as I approach this first year, as I am certain it is the path to enjoying one another while learning.

We’re trying homeschool for the first time this year and my youngest is Kindergarten age. She is very creative and imaginative and this curriculum seems like it would be a perfect fit. Also, I’d love to have a tried and true curriculum to start out with in our first year!
I would choose the kindergarten curriculum. I wrote our own preschool lessons but would like to incorporate more nature and variety of crafts into our kindergarten lessons.
This looks like the perfect way to draw our family into an approach that I know in my heart is best. I’ve always been big on creating and nurturing life long learners, but I also get sucked into the unfortunate brainwashing that tells me I will fail my kids if I don’t do enough teaching with mainstream methods. I would absolutely love to try the first grade curriculum.
Both of our children are extremely creative and cannot sit still for longer than a couple minutes, unless they are creating something with paint, glitter, etc… One of the many reasons we decided to homeschool was because our son shuts down in a traditional school setting (he convinced his teachers that he couldn’t speak and he would sit in the corner the whole time making shapes using the trains). Our daughter is 3 but operating on a much higher level; she is also the most nurturing child I have ever seen. She has been labeled a “problem” in some settings because she is so concerned about others she has a hard time sitting still and focusing. This program seems to meet their needs for self-expression, exploration, intellectual stimulation, etc…
What appeals to me about Lavender’s blue is the focus upon the beauty of God’s creation, highlighting the gems which are often so difficult to spot when living in a concrete jungle. If I were to win I would choose the first grade package.

I have been spying Lavender Blue curriculum for a while. I work hard to keep my boys surrounded by nature, routine, and hands on learning. Lavender Blue seems fits all these areas. I’d be most interested in the 1st grade curriculum.
I have been following Kelly’s blog for a while and I love the gentle, engaging ideas she pits forth. Her approach is not intimidating and I never feel bad about not bring “waldorfy” enough. I would choose grade one as that is the grade my eldest daughter is moving into this year. Thanks!

My daughter is 4 years old, and her one true love, is to color. She wakes up, heads straight to a blank sheet of paper, and whatever coloring utensils she can find. I would love to be able to show her that she can learn so much by doing what she loves. What I want most for my children is for them to be inspired to be themselves, to keep their interest, and love of learning for life. This will be my first year homeschooling her, and my main reasoning is exactly what Lavender Blue stands for. I don’t feel that sitting in a classroom is what my child will excel at, she loves to play, pretend, color, and express herself freely. Gabriella would flourish with a curriculum such as this one, we would like the Kindergarten curriculum. Thank you!

First of all, I would pick kindergarten curriculum. I love that it is more of an organic learning instead of being one of those forced academic curriculum like many other out there.

I am a former teacher an do not want my children to learn the public school way. We feel strongly connected to the natural world that surrounds us and I want to explore learning through that connection. I would love to try the kindergarten curriculum. Also, my husband works for state parks and I will not be working now. Free is the only way we could try this curriculum, but we would do great justice by spreading word about your product to other homeschool families in the area.

We went on tours of Waldorf schools and my heart wanted so badly to let our kids play and explore there all day, but the price tag made me choke on my gum! Trying to recreate the school at home is the next best thing, but it’s hard to find a starting place. A friend showed me a book she had from Lavender’s Blue and it looks like a perfect fit! It’s everything I need (as a new-to-the-game, but oh-so-in-love-with Waldorf-er) to guide my girls into the world of learning through natural rhythms and wonder without worrying that I’m missing something! Waldorf and/or Montessori homeschooling based systems seems the perfect way to go for kindergartner. I would love to homeschool my child with the help of LB Kindergarten materials. We already teach him through play, nature and songs so continuing on the same path seems the right choice.

My family has decided last minute that homeschooling is something we feel is right for our family/children. We have been scouring and trying to group things together as best as we can. We are first timers and our oldest is starting Kindergarten, we came across this curriculum and we were interested
in it’s method and excited about the fact that it
would fit our child’s style of learning and that it would be extremely manageable and easy to use as
parents/teachers. We love that it’s seasonally appropriate and incorporates many learning opportunities/ possibilities in everyday life.

Our little guy has been extensively bullied in his first 6 months at public school and we have had to take him out to try to nuture him at home. He loves to learn but has some learning difficulties and the hands on approach would suit him so well. I’ve drooled over the lavender curriculum for a long time as it just seems so practical, easy to follow and beautiful. I’ve been trying to follow. A waldorf style of learning for my 6 year old but it would save me(and my kids) a lot of stress if I had a the lavender first grade curriculum to follow.
I have a little guy who struggles with “school” and Lavender’s Blue would provide the hands on, engaging environment he needs to want to learn but in a way that doesn’t push him into a box or force him into a mold created for another. My son, whom we adopted, had experienced a lot of trauma in his life. The Waldorf approach is the best avenue to offer education in a gentle way to help counter the chaos of his earlier years of life. The joy of being able to homeschool him (1st grade) is a life long dream come true. While I know it is true of all children, the greatest joy I have found in adoption thus far, is the complete surprise as my son grows and develops before my eyes. Particularly, since he is adopted, I have no pre-conceived notions of what he will be like or who he will be come. He just is. Waldorf supports that in a way that is unparalleled in the field of child development.

Kelly’s curriculum design is beautifully presented. Her pictures alone have provided many ideas and much support along my homeschooling journey. When I first played one of her verses for my daughters, 3 and 7, they literally stopped in their tracks! (Why don’t they do that with my singing?!)
I worked with my (very resistant) 6 year old last year with the Christopherus 1st grade curriculum and it was challenging for us.
I’ve since purchased Kelly’s kinder curriculum to use with my younger daughter when she’s of age. I already can use the music and some of the art with both girls. Now I’m contemplating purchasing Kelly’s 1st grade to re-work with my eldest some of the tough spots we hit last year…(And of course I’ll have it for the younger in a few years.)
I’ve been on the fence on how to proceed this year since Christopherus just did not resonate for my 6 year old. Everyone is telling me she’s a “concrete learner”, (whatever that means!), and encouraging me to start her on math workbooks (!?) and the like. Sighhhh…And now it’s August and I suppose I need to make some decisions….And did I mention that I’m an Unschooler at heart? Waldorf philosophies have so inspired me that I’m determined to make this a part of our lives.
That’s more of “my story”, than “my comment”, isn’t it.

I love that this curriculum is based in nature, in real life, in those things that we used to all live and take for granted. It’s organic. It fits my personality and that of my upcoming kindergartner. I would choose the kindergarten curriculum.
Love the idea of a curriculum that uses play, song, nature, etc. I am not sure which one I would get as I have kids in both grades this year.
I love that it encompasses so many aspects to it and I really love that it includes, art, music, and so mnay areas where I am lacking in creativity to inspire my kids. I would choose first grade.

Lavender’s Blue is wonderful because there is no push to learn spelling & sight words in the first year of school – I love that! We are just starting out, so beginning kindergarten with Lavender’s Blue would be simply lovely.

I would really benefit from having your experience and well crafted curriculum to follow, as my schooling was very ‘brains’ based and shallow, and it’s taking me time to have the paradigm shift that I need to embrace this approach.
I love how you have laid it out to be as ‘mumma’ friendly as possible, which would really help me as I also have another son with special needs. So all time savers are precious, and having started doing my own research I see how much time is involved to put something like this together. ALOT+!

I would appreciate the Lavendar Blue Kindergarten curr. because this is my last child of 4 entering homeschool, and the curriculum I’ve used so far seems too difficult and lacks hands on learning as the emphasis. I would appreciate the alternative option for this year.
I would choose the kindergarten curriculum as this is our first year homeschooling. One of the main reasons I decided to homeschool was my daughters love for art and nature and to be able to have a curriculum that strives for that would be amazing. I would then also be able to use it for my son when it was his turn for kindergarten.

What appeals to me most about Lavender’s Blue curriculum is its holistic nature. Before my daughter was born I knew I wanted to homeschool, I want to give her the opportunity to learn differently, to love learning, love playing and love nature because everything is connected. We learn best when we involve our spirit, mind and body. Living in Nigeria, I don’t think she will have that opportunity going to a regular school environment. This curriculum would be a great blessing to both of us as we start our first kindergarten homeschooling year.
