I’ve got 8 kids . . . and we’re awaiting an adoption staffing meeting for 5 more. If we’re chosen for the additional 5 it will mean we have 9 under 9, and two of them have special learning needs. I’ve been studying Waldorf philosophy for a few weeks, and I have a feeling it will be just what we will need to give our family a sense of balance to our days.

My son is almost 7, and loves Oak Meadow. He eats up their language arts program like nobody’s business, and the natural flow of the overall program blends with our lifestyle perfectly. Unfortunately, we are unable to purchase it this year due to budget constraints. Even with the spring sale going on now, it’s a bit much. I’ve been scouring ebay for a chance to score his grade level, but no luck as of yet!

We are actively involved in weekly therapy sessions and activities in hopes of finally being able to help my son to tell me his wants and needs and for me to hear him call me Mama. The Oak Meadow credit would be a terrific asset to his language development as we would be able to purchase the wonderful preschool curriculum to enrich his learning.

    Hi,

My kids are 8 and 11.

I have looked at Oak Meadow in the past and really thought it would be a good fit for our family. We have dabbled in some what traditional homeschooling to unschooling to cyber school. We are doing cyber school through our school district and it’s not what I envisioned as a homeschooling family. It’s definitely not bringing learning to life and ends up being a chore more than anything. I was close to purchasing Oak Meadow at one time but probably either got overwhelmed or couldn’t afford it at the time. Probably a little bit of both. I want my kids to enjoy learning and I think winning this package would get us off to a good start this upcoming school year.

    Thank you!

I have five daughters, ages 13 1/2, 8, 6 1/2, 4, and 2. We are on our sixth year of homeschooling and have always followed a very eclectic approach. We moved to Japan last year with the USMC and since then have become more involved with the groups we have met here. Though I have been interested in Oak Meadow before, I am more intrigued by the layout and comprehensive curriculum idea now more than ever. Getting a good routine going with gentle and fun materials would surely help continue our path in homeschooling.

I have kids that are 15,13,7, and 10 weeks. We are tired of the indoctrination of public schools, and would like to be able to teach our kids with realistic curriculum that is tailored to what they want to learn, rather than what the government forces them to learn. My 13 year old boy is bipolar/adhd and gifted, so the school doesn’t really know what to do with him…they want to lump him into a category, and my kids just don’t fit into their stereotypes. We have an artist, a computer nerd, and one who hasn’t found his niche at 15…we want to allow them to explore themselves and see what they want to do in life, rather than making them conform to what society wants them to do or be. We are just beginning our homeschooling journey and don’t have a lot of cash or resources, so this would be a tremendous help to us.

My kids are 9 and 10 and I would LOVE to win this prize because we are new to homeschool this year and I have pieced together my curriculum but there are many holes! I found out about Oak Meadow after I bought my other things. I have read Charlotte Masons book and love the concepts that she teaches. In the next few days we are moving to Mexico and will be pretty isolated but will have LOTS of nature to explore. I feel like Oak Meadow would allow the time needed for nature and provide the gentle approach we need to step into homeschool. We are leaving a harsh school system and the kids have their tails between their legs a bit. I would love to encourage them with this curriculum and plan on using it the next time we can get our hands on any of it!

My children are Olivia (almost 8), James (6), George (3) and David (1). My oldest two have been in a wonderful school the past two years but because of my own philosophy of education, I believe that homeschool is the absolute best for them. The very reason that I want to homeschool also intersects with one of my fears. I want them to learn in more organic, natural way and yet I fear having a lack of structure. As I was reading through the information on the Oak Meadow website, I felt a huge sense of relief that this curriculum is available. My daughter is quite a “naturalist” and my son is constantly seeking hands on outlets born of his own curiosity and invention. I am certain that Oak Meadow would be a wonderful fit for our family and have more peace and excitement about the adventure of homeschooling. I would be thrilled to be selected for this package!

Hi, I have a 7 year old girl. She is lots of fun. We seem to have the most success at learning something new when it’s presented as a fun, playful, hands on activity.

Thanks for offering this giveaway! =)

Almost 5 and almost 8. I would like to win this because we will start homeschooling this fall and could use some supplies 🙂
