Weekend homeschool links

February 17, 2017 //  by Jamie C. Martin

Our Heal the World Book Club is going SO well, and if you haven’t signed up yet, now is the perfect time to join for March! We just announced our upcoming book titles and would love to have you.

I was thrilled to receive this feedback from Mary Black this week:

Your book clubs have been a huge part of our learning experience this past year. Read aloud time has been more meaningful and my kids are thinking outside themselves and outside our little space in the world. Your Heal the World Book Club has inspired so many good conversations. My boys are excited to contribute in a meaningful way. So am I!”

And check out this artistic interpretation of our first book club title, The Unfinished Angel, from Sara’s family (love!):

If you have signed up for our book club, you should have received three emails thus far! If you haven’t, please check all your spam/promotions folders, then email me (jamie(at)simplehomeschool(dot)net) if you still can’t locate them.

Weekend homeschool links:

  • Books + Growing big kids
  • Dear younger me: About all those things you fear re: homeschooling
  • How to encourage our kids to write
  • How to happily homeschool in winter
  • This video is so inspiring – relationship first!

Let me introduce you to a new favorite resource: Around the World Stories! (Anyone who knows me at all will NOT be surprised to hear my enthusiasm.)

These are original audio stories with the unique intent of helping children discover & learn about the world–brilliant, right?! Listen to samples and find out more here.
