I have a second grade and kindergartner. I’ve been drooling over oak meadow for years. This last year was hard on my kids as we moved a couple times and added a new baby to the family. I think oak meadow would be a great fit for us to get back into a rhythm. The nature, crafts, and literature studies look amazing!

Children aged 7,7 & 5. We are new to homeschooling. I have been looking for a Waldorf inspired education that is more up to date and I think this might be it. I would love to give it a try.

Aloha, I will be homeschooling my friends children ages 4, 5, 10 and may have 2 older ones. This will be my first time homeschooling and any help I can receive I will greatly appreciate! These children are very special and connected to the earth. I want to help keep them connected and I feel your resources will assist them. I can also utilize these books through the years as the children grow. Thank you and may many blessings be upon you…

    Hello
My name is Destiny and this will be my first year homeschooling my son jaydin. Jaydin is seven years old and he will be going into the second grade.
Homeschool is a whole new world to me. I find myself being nervous, scared, but over all excited about homeschooling my child. I want to do what is best for my son and over all I want to make sure that this is a positive experience for the both of us.
The one thing that has been a bit overwhelming is choosing a curriculum; there are to many to choose from! After spending hours on the internet researching curriculums, lesson plans, field trips, and homeschool groups, i started to feel a bit discouraged. Although there were so many curriculum to choose from it seemef that each program was lacking something that I felt wad important to my childs academic success. The curriculums were either to religious, to much work, confusing, lack of accreditation, to expensive, or it was just plain boring. I have a second grader! Learning is supposed to be exciting and fun while at the same time academically challenging. I almost called it quits with my internet search until I stumbled across Oak Meadows school. I spent almost an hour on their website learning everything about that program. I fell in love! I said to myself FINALLY, I found a curriculum that is perfect for my child. I love the fact that it waldorf inspired and they have such a strong emphasis on play and creativity. I loved the fact that this program is more “old school”, we live in a technology driven world that it seems that our children lack creativity, drive, and they have little to no imagination because they no longer are outside playing or playing with toys. They are so wrapped up with their ipad, television, computer and video games. Oak Meadows provides books filled with amazing stories that can broaden a child’s curosity about his or her world. The program provides materials that are hands on, so not only is the child reading about science but he or she is able to experiment with the new concepts that they have learned. Oak meadows makes learning fun but at the same time they are still challenging the child academically! We can clearly see that oak meadows main goal is to raise a well rounded student, they encourage play, creativity, music, arts and crafts while at the same time providing a strong, rich and challenging curriculum. This project based program gives education and lesrning a whole new meaning. The best part is its accredited which is very important to me. I know my son will love this program he excels in science and math and he is also a hands on type of learner. He will have so much fun doing projects and learning new science and mathematical concepts. My son also enjoys arts and crafts he will love painting and playing with clay. Although my son isnt the biggest fan of reading and language arts I feel that he will enjoy reading the books that oak meadows have chose. Most importantly my son is going to have a blast learning!
My goal is to raise a strong intelligent Christian young man. I want my son to do well in school and have so many opportunities. It is important to me that he lives a happy and successful life. The only way that my son can be successful is to get a great education. I strongly believe that oak meadows is the best program for ny child and I am more than confident that this program will contribute to my sons success.
    Thank you for reading!
    Destiny
